I’ve come to the conclusion that Ben and Rey’s story is not finished. They will both be back. The Rise of Skywalker was just the end of one story and the beginning of another ❤️
But that's like Harry Potter dying at the end of the series and being like "he'll be back in another story."
@@dabuss55 for me Tros should've end like The dark Crystal😅. Why fake "kill" him (and don't give us the chance to mourn for him? cuz we don't know if we should or...? ) to later bring him back? Or if he's really dead why erase him from the story at the end? Disney, ppl liked this character😩 you don't throw him away like garbage
I feel like there’s so much more to the story and that’s why it ended how it did. The ending was not solid or concrete as far as Ben and Rey are concerned. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but I have to believe there is something bigger going on here. All story telling aside, it also makes no sense financially for Disney to just permanently end Ben Solo’s story since people were so invested in his character. The Skywalker saga may be over, but Ben and Rey’s story is going to continue. How they’re going to do that is still a mystery, but I believe whole heartedly they will. There is a larger plan at work here and I will hold on to that 💖
But didn't Disney buy star wars with the proviso that the trilogies end after ep 9? Spinoff movies they get, but no more trilogies? I fear that it's done. Star wars is dead to me😕
Ann Nee....you can end a saga by *simply* not telling THAT particular story anymore, no need for killing the key characters, and tell other stories related to that universe.
Tros had the most terrible ending in a movie in 2019 for me... They deserved so much better. Ben: A real redemption and making up for his acts ALONGSIDE the Resistance. And he could have his moment with Chewbacca and teaching about the Force, finally reaching balance and silent( no voices in his head)
Rey: Her PERSONAL growth, not needing to be affiliated with any other Jedi or sith. She must believe her skills, not carry others', again, ALONGSIDE the only one that really understood her.

TROS stunk out loud. The only other time I can remember feeling that empty and drained after a cinema experience was BvS😕
Ben has become so much more powerful then Kylo Ren has ever been. As such I truely believe Ben will return and Ray will find him after searching for him. Excegol is the gateway to the world of worlds. I believe leia saved him in the last moment. I dont believe Disney will pass up the possibility of one of the greatest love stories ever told and in mythical context as a dyad in the Force. The possibilitys are endless.
I believe the mirror scene on Achto was a foreshadowing of her future.
Reys future is with Ben.

I had no problem with Ben passing at the end of TROS. He literally gave his life to the woman he loved ♡. The lack of acknowledgement of him after his death is what pissed me off. Give us something. Even if it was just his voice speaking to Rey.
There's a few things I find interesting in the wake of Ben's death. One is that there are so many people who spent the first two movies determined to not like Ben and were convinced that he was a villian and needed to die, only to come out of TROS total Ben Solo converts. They saw Ben on the Light Side were like "Oh wait, this is cool. I like this side of Kylo Ren." Then he dies and they're like "WTF???!!!!!" Then they check out the Rise Of Kylo Ren comic and are like "Wow, the Reylos and Bendemptionists were right." If Disney/LucasFilm is aware of how popular Baby Yoda is then they're aware of how many fans want Ben Solo back.
Then, there's this little gem from ScreenRant listing ten ways Ben can come back screenrant.com/star-wars-franchise-bring-ben-solo-back/ Either they're getting fed this info from LucasFilm for a reason (wink wink) or it's so obvious that even ScreenRant can pick up on it.

Love this conversation! I believe Rey finds her spring, her real awakening when she arrives on Takodana and she says, while still in the Falcon, she didn't know there was this much green in the whole galaxy. Green is spring, new life, a rebirth, HOPE. When she emerges from the Falcon, she breathes in the air and blinks like a baby who has been born into a new life. (Water, her element, also stretches out in front of her.) Then she meets Maz, eats a piece of GREEN fruit at the table--I think of the apple and Eve, Persephone and the pomegranate seed, (I mean, she could have been eating a piece of bread, but no--it's a fruit, and it's green to carry on the symbolism) and like Sleeping Beauty she follows the call to the saber, and once she touches it begins the spinning of the wheel in earnest. Kylo/Ben finds her, bridal carries her off, she awakens from her Force-induced sleep (death)and literally awakens to her Force bond with Kylo/Ben. Also, in saving Rey, Ben is saving himself; without his sacrifice, he has not fully atoned for his sins. As Luke told Leia, he couldn't save Ben. Maz told Rey there is still someone who could come back--meaning NOT Luke--as first interpreted, but BEN, so yes! the price was worth it, because Ben Solo was saved by his own free will--maybe one of the first times he exercised it--and he can return, whole and healed. This works as an end, but I feel hopeful that an episode X will happen. Thanks for continuing the work you do!

This poem IS Reylo. Reylo from the beginning was a spiritual and mystical love story, and The Great Wagon speaks of their union in the dyad, and how their love has conquered death. No matter what happens their story will go on, because their is a field where they will always meet and live forever.
I still believe that "THE RISE" was meant to be Ben's climbing that cliff at the end and reaching for Rey.
Yes, that's my interpretation, and I'm sticking to it!

And before I forget, after thinking about that tweet from Dave Filoni, I think that Ahsoka could still be alive, albeit old enough for an AARP membership. She's got personal experience with the WBW, and if she and Rey cross paths Ahsoka could find out about what happened to Rey and Ben and be like "Oh honey, this isn't right. Come with me, I think I can help you."
And let's be honest, no matter what medium this occurs in, LucasFilm stands to make a ton of money off of it. If it's a cartoon on Disney+ then that would cause so many Star Wars fans to pay for it just so that can see Ben come back. If it's a comic, novel, or video game, it will fly off the shelves.
If Ahsoka and Rey meet, I will scream, you know, happy shrieking. That would qualify as "mind melting" to me, unlike the end of TRoS which hurt my brain in a bad way.
Mollie....please not Disney+ I have NO interest in the streaming medias, either a TV series or movies for me and the World between Worlds sounds better in movie format simply for the visuals.
Amazing video! I love this poem and your analysis. To me, being a dyad means that Ben and Rey are soulmates in the force. That's why it doesn't make sense for Ben to die at the end of TROS. Perhaps that strong connection cannot be easily broken and we'll see Rey bring him back.
When Ezra is in the WBW and he hears Rey, Kylo/Ben, Maz, Anakin speak, the portal he standing in front of has an image of a fathier to each side and above is a domed city scape......clue?.....maybe?...IDK!

It's not over, it just began... Filoni, Matt Martin they recently implied too much things... And also Pablo with the WbW in the visual dictionary. No FG too. And Pablo also changed his profile pic with one from a Dark Crystal scene where the protagonist who sacrificed himself is resurrected. Even Michelle Buchman made a comment about it to RJ Twitter account. Adam went to the Skywalker ranch in Dec. and said he misses his character recently. I think it just begins... ;)

I wonder if this kind of talk was the pitch Adam Driver had to accept the role. It gives the story such beautiful depth which is right up Adams ally 😊
Ending of PT: The twins will begin their adventure (Luke and Leia) in future, a messager will "potray" the Force (Obi-Wan) and the "dark" couple is established and reunited (Anakin/Padme);
Ending of OT: The twins will continue their adventure as individual: a messager of the Force (Luke) and the "light" couple is established and reunited (Leia/Han);
Ending of ST: refering to a specific order:
1) The first twins (Luke and Leia) died but we need new one;
2) A new messager of the Force (Finn) as a Force Sensitive will built his own goal as a Jedi or just as Maz believing in the Force;
3) The "divine" couple (Ben/Rey) althought is established, is not reunited.

Have you noticed that the birds flying by Aurora and her prince kissing, at min 17:38, look like the symbol of the Resistance?
Also sorry to ramble but remember when at D23 Daisy was all coy and grinning ear to ear in the blue carpet interviews when asked about reylo? "you'll have to wait and see" and she had that Cheshire cat expression. And the mag article (*EW) where she said basically it [reylo] isn't glossed over. It's dealt with.
I mean, I found "dealt with" to be odd wording, but she still sounded like she was trying to say yes we totally did romantic reylo without being able to say so in spoilery words. I guess I was far too optimistic. But she was very positive til, when, like, November?? And then it got fumbled, and wording became far more cautious. Face splitting grins disappeared. Never to be seen again. Adam ghosted TRoS pretty hard and I don't blame him one bit.

I loved this so much! I was crying right along with you at the "I would love to kiss you. The price of kissing is your life" part. Ow! It still hurts to acknowledge that actually happened to our boy, which is why I blissfully choose to live in denial. Dead Ben?...I don't know him!😂
I absolutely agree 100% that he is in the WBW waiting to be reunited with Rey!!! There was just so much pointing to WBW in the VD, and I think it was put there for a reason (fail-safe). I do hope that they continue Ben's story (preferably with Adam back on the big screen, or to voice the character if they go the animated route--as I can't see anyone else playing Ben at this point). This video is so wonderfully healing in the hopefulness that it presents through your analysis of this beautiful poem, and for that I say... Thank you, ladies!

I've said this even before watching the film. There's no way they won't bring him back. Behind the mythical explanations there's a Kylo Ren/Ben Solo brand that they want to exploit. Thanks to Adam's amazing performance this character stole what was supposed to be Rey's show. They truly became two sides of our protagonist.

Really loved the poem and how it relates to Ben and Rey. My hope is they do continue their story. There is so much with what Lucasfilm can explore with the mystical side of the force and their dyad.
You have to check this out****** Speedy Sketches has a video on RUclips of the music more muted and you can hear some of Ben Solos dialogue that was muted for the final cut. There was obviously so much muted, Reys head moved to cover dialogue of his and his reactions to her dialogue(lighting is obviously off on her face and doesn’t fit the angles).... It’s just so sad to imagine such a great actor like AD who was easily able to make you love a character when they only ever left in a rhyme of previous dialogue to mirror the first sequel film and that was it.... I’m sure his full performance was amazing no matter how much they butchered the plot, where it would have been so much better to let him as King Bran from GoT says “Spend the rest of his life fixing (his mistakes)”...

I hope so much that someone, with a deep literary understanding of love and redemption, takes over the Saga of Ben Solo and does right by him. I think that George Lucas is such a person. Rain is. JJ is not. JJ may make great films, but this wasn't his forté. George may not have been great at dialog, but damn, the man knows his mythology, themes and tropes. BUT! will the Disney/Star Wars studio be willing to make the movie we are starving for?

Ben whispering to Rey "don't go back to sleep. Find me". I fainted. Giiiiiirls, I beg you, pleaaaaase, at least write episode 10 fanfiction. You don't have to turn it into a video on youtube like you did with the Anakin/Ben video, I know that involves more work. Just write plain old fashioned fanfiction and put it out there, for all these crushed souls like me who are afraid of holding their breath for Disney to make such an episode 10, starring Adam and Daisy. From the very beginning the translation of TROS in the Greek language- Skywalker, η Άνοδος/ Skywalker the Rise, seemed weird and vague to me. You see in greek, the articles in front of nouns ( names for ex.), adjectives etc.can reveal very specific details 1) the gender. 2)if the word is singular or plural. I am sure that the vague translation was on purpose, otherwise they'd reveal if the Skywalker is a female or a male' one or two and more.
On the other hand the translation of TLJ was Οι Τελευταίοι Τζεντάι The Last Jedis in plural not in singular because in singular the translation should be specific about the gender.
I hope you understand my explanation because the Modern Greek grammar( very detailed and complicated somehow) comes directly from the Ancient Greek Classic era b.C and the Hellenistic Common language Era between b.C and A.D.
I love this poem, I can't believe this was on Mahoney's wall, but then we got... TRoS... Like... What? It makes no sense. I feel like they somewhat planned this reylotastic movie, but then changed it. But I don't think JJ and CT were even capable of epic, sweeping, deeply emotional and moving dialogue. So, I'm very confused. Maybe KK wanted the reylo stuff, but she hired these incompetent hacks and there was no time since Colin had already been fired, months wasted. And then the suits of mouse said "no, we need something marketable to the basement dwellers and fandom menace or we'll lose money! They hate reylo, they wanted a trio right? Scrap half this script and add 2 more macguffins and trio scenes. Don't forget the pew pew." I dunno, but I wake up everyday wanting to know how/when/why things occurred the way they did. I want a tell all book by KK. The actors are too young to write one, they can't talk shit as much if they wanna keep working... Sigh... I want answers.

The more I watch these videos about how Rey and Ben are connected ( dyad ). It reminds me of Jon and dany in ASOIAF. They have parallel journeys and in certain chapters they imagine each other in dreams when they don't even know it. Great video btw.
I have come to the conclusion that YOU should write a mini Star Wars novel [with permission] that deals with the aftermath of how Rey is living after the events of TROS...or doujinshi based what has happened to Rey after TROS.
Then YOU could write a story that *does* mention the World Between Worlds, Rey hearing about it and whether or not she takes action....and somewhere in the writing of that story she makes contact with Ben.
It doesn't make sense that the *PROFESSIONAL* writers of Star Wars are limited in their thinking of what the Force can do! I've even said that Star Wars fanfiction writers write better stories!
OK nothing to do with Star Wars but in a certain point of view this might give some perspective if you know what I mean.....

Hey ladies , I think something needs to be mention in your next video about the idiot Reylos who threatened Adam's wife if things didn't turn out right. This is way over the top and needs to stop. I hope they know who did it and bring charges against them. That is just really low and stupid. And hurts the rest of us. Thanks.
We've already addressed this in earlier videos and on social media. They are truly a SUPER SMALL faction of this fandom, and yes...it is abhorrent. We do call it out when we see it on social media, but we also need to continue to move forward with our own content, and not dwell on what we cannot control or stop. They (the people responsible) continue to be lambasted by the majority of the community, so there really isn't a whole lot more WE can do except call it out when we see it, and continue to showcase the POSITIVE side of the community.
Now I really understand why some of us are disappointed as far as the writing goes [By the way this is probably a random comment but what the hey] but anyway I think many of us many in this community including you two were viewing this film or at least the potential of this film let alone the trilogy through the eyes of and I could get this all wrong but in the eyes of literature enthusiasts. Ya'll had your English Literature radar and going fishing for symbols, motifs and possible foreshadows and potential but not too far out there parallels and it's easy to see that. I'm suddenly starting to understand why English was always my strongest subject and school even taking early college classes for it when I went to high school some years ago. And honestly when you're that good at a specific subject for learning I can understand why it's easy for you to pull out a number of examples of numerous works of fiction or art for that matter because English and art are kind of the same, but yeah you would do that and compare it. And for the 80th time why is it so hard for some people to understand that Star Wars is not the same as Star Trek or War of the Worlds since they are science fiction. I mean yes it is science fiction but it has fantastical, mythical, and on some levels theological, slightly political elements but also goes toe to toe with anything we've seen in Shakespeare, Excalibur, old poetry going back practically from the beginning of time to the age of Emily Dickinson or something out of a Jane Austen or Bronte novel. Something in Star Wars especially in this trilogy might remind someone of something that came out of a Brother's Grimm Fairy Tale or even a Disney Princess movie. WOW! You know how I know this because it's all thanks to you two. So what if we're reading too much into it and believing in these theories or running with them even if they don't come true again or meet halfway, all right then but you know what it's fun to at least talk about it, because it's better than not doing anything at all. Oh and furthermore the story about my hamster climbing at the top of her cage to watch one of your videos one night was true.

Before I watch I got to tell you for some time in this last month it’s all starting to come clear on why the Rumi poem was on the mood board. Now we know because look what has happened and look what we are doing now. Oh Lucasfilm.
I enjoyed this. But how can we believe they have thought about this down to this degree when we got the mess that is TROS??
