Well R* motion captured the actual irl band postmodern jukebox. So that’s the actual pianist Scott Bradley’s actual playing. They’re an awesome band btw, check them out. They did a 1912 style cover of “everybody want to rule the world” by tears for fears for Bioshock infinite
They really didn’t have to make this song so good, considering it’s an optional thing to wait through in a theater, but things like this truly add to the realistic experience!
This is motion captured. This is a REAL performance. An experience you genuinely would need to pay for all wrapped up into an optional part of this game. I don't think there will be another game like rdr2.
Half? Sadly this is mostly seen by 5 percent of the players, if so. You'd be surprised to see the percentage of people who own the game and actually completed the story 😂
It definitely went unrecognised by more than half the players. Less than half the players on PS4 have the trophy for completing Chapter 2. I'm willing to bet that less than 15% of players have completed a single set of the stranger missions. There are loads of actors in this game who's performances will never be seen by the vast majority of people that bought it
I love the way the audience is clapping and cheering throughout the entire song. This is one of the most genuinely happy experiences in the entire game imo.
Well the whole game was done using Performance Capture, so I wouldn't be surprised if they actually performed this with real instruments, and used the movements then with the 3D model. I wonder if the piano is right too, it should be if it was all mocapped
Rockstar put so much work and detail into this game only to abandon it later on. I wasn’t expecting these theater shows which are optional activities to be this good
One day, I boot up RDR2, and I’m wandering through Saint Denis. I decide “Y’know what, let’s see what the show has on today. That bullet catching guy was awesome last time.” So I walk in, sit down, and watch the show. I thought “Oh, this is nice…wait second, is that?…NO WAY!!!” And as I hear “Hello my baby”, I get the biggest, dumbest smile on my face, and I’m dancing in my seat. One of my favorite gaming moments, bar none.
When I did the Marjorie quests and headed over here in search of the act, the moment I walked in this place (this was the first time going inside), I kind of just stood there in shock. I then immediately switched to first person and took in all of that absolutely stunningly beautiful theatre, it looks so real! And them I bought my ticket and saw the show, and I could not stop watching! The moment Robin came on, I was blown away and just stared and listening in amazement, then when the chorus came, I could not help but smile hugely like some idiot for some reason, and I started moving my body to the song! To think rockstar put this much work into something most people probably miss completely just astounds me. There is like an hour's or more worth of performances!
Same thing happend to me just yesterday! Uuu theater, lets check! I was so amazed with stupid smile on my face. Watched entire performance:))) Plus now to see Robyn Anderson and PMJ in the game blows my mind
Everything about this game is just so beautiful Thank you Miss Marjorie for making me step in the theater for once in my whole play, I cant believe how I missed this place all this time, will definitely get back there often
I've been a fan of Postmodern Jukebox for years and thought that this singer's voice sounded familiar when playing. Then on the credits I noticed that it actually was Postmodern Jukebox! It was super nice to notice, and this is such a good version of the song.

The fact they got Postmodern Jukebox to record this is so great. I love this version of this song so much. It beats all of the wax cylinder recordings by many miles.
