Very nice video. I really enjoyed seeing the locomotive manufacturer and model identified on the screen. The image quality and sound quality were very good as well.
@modeltrainman12345 They could theoretically, but the engine would only have enough water to make it there and back, and would take like a half hour to fill up back at New Hope. The other issue is that they run such tight schedules, that the engine wouldn't have time to refuel. Coal wouldn't be an issue, she holds 8 tons I think. On charters they can get away with getting a water truck or using one of their old tank cars as a water bottle, since they'd have the time to fill the tender.
Did I Miss something or have I only done a fraction of this line from New Hope to Lahaska? Wycombe and other stations were on the ticket but it seemed to me this railroad was shorter than what I have seen in this vid? (ps I'm from England so forgive me for anything I may have missed) P.S, $25 was a bit steep for a ride "1st class" on this line compared to a preserved line in the UK for treble the distance behind steam.
Not for nothing but does anyone else notice that C30-7 # 7087 lacks ditch light on her rear and i was thinking this is not FRA correct??????????? Unless someone can tell me different.
@@fermitthekrog6318 wait what I thought only one of former Norfolk southern and the 2 cxs units would be scrapped not 7087 and where did you find out 7087 was my favorite in the railroad
@@franciscorosa6221 yeah I loved 7087 as well. I Work at the New Hope railroad. For like a week it was stored back up at new hope while they were getting it ready to be scraped. It suffered a pretty big mechanical failure a few years back, and I guess they decided they couldn't fix it.
@trainfann1 I'm going to suggest that you stop TELLING me to go to this railroad. I know of it and I'm not wasting a day out to go see a 20-ton 2-foot gauge engine pull around some rinky-dink cars. Maybe if they gey their steam engine running, I will go up and see it. Until then, I have no interest in the place, even if they offer CABRIDES!!!!!!!!
Gotta say, 7087 has to be one of my favorite engines. Always loved the NH&I paint scheme, and she wears it well.

Loving that RS3L on 2198. Sounds a lot like my favorite RS3L, the one on NS 5314.
nice! gotta like the intro. today they were useing steam 40 and the geep 30.
The believe that's an S3L on 2198. It's now on the 7087, which makes it sound like a U34CH! That S3L is 2198's original horn too!
Great job as always, Adam!
@TJBV08 They run under 25MPH, therefore they don't need ditchlights.

Ah ok, thanks for correcting me on that. Listen to NS 5314s horn, and you'll see it sounds very similar.
that is some sketchy track work. great video, love the gp30.
Train travel good time new hope that always makes

Loved it, thanks
@chevelleguy3 They are pretty good lookin' diesels.
What happened to the steam engine?
If IRM or any tourist railroad could save the remaining C39-8 and the other dash 7 units in USA, I would be thrilled.

Why don't don't they ever use 40 on the trains to Warminster?
I wonder what happened to the 7087 I haven’t seen it in such a long time
Yes. I think 8218 replaced it
Unfortunately it was scraped like a week ago

So now 7087 is no longer a part of new hope and ivyland and is now destroyed
@dmorris991 Welcome to Laaaaaaaaannnsssdale!
This year the GP-30 got a new horn
RIP 7087
@TrainSounds It broked.
@metadyneman They are a pricey railroad. It unfortunately comes with the pricey area that they are in.
Seems like there losing passengers
