Best tractor you have looked at. Easiest one to fix and get parts for. The best view of the loader , in my opinion you have just had your new tractor delivered.
If the Fiat engine in the T5/Case is as good as the 6.7 Fpt then its a no brainer plus the 6 post cab reduces visibility when you get used to one big door you wouldnt want to go back but i am not the one paying for it at the end of the day
Just by the salesmen interaction I like massey then new holland then case just for the fact that I like people who sell something I want not what they want to sell me. I know there alot that goes on off camera just what has been put on camera.
Thats the Rolls Royce of all Twacktors. Treat yerself,; better than 20 years of missed holidays and will certainly put a big smile on ones face everyday. Go for it. Capeability killed the Brown (David).
Good evening Mr. P. nice looking pease of kit but i did think it was a bit more complicated than the T5. Will be interesting to see how you get on with it in the next video. Keep well and stay safe.
One really nice feature that he didn't mention is the low idling speed. The moment you pull the handbrake it drops engine revs to around 500 rpm and it stays there until you release the handbrake again. That also works in conjunction with the pto controls on the fenders. If you are tanking for instance, when you start the pto the tractor will automatically go up to preset rpm and the moment you stop the pto the revs drop right down again. Nice little fuel saving feature.
.... first off know nothing about tractors .... for a brief spell was running a five axel mixer and when sat ran the rev at high idle 900-1000 and never had issues with the Blue-burn, others that ran on low idle while sat were constantly having to book off while a 20 to 30 burn was being completed, if another driver was on the truck, would have to stop and do a burn the next two or three days ..... as I mentioned, know nothing about tractors and especially not in the UK being that I live in BC ....
Hi Ian,looks like another big toy to play with. I understand why you want to get the right machine, not only for your comfort but to be able to do the little extra jobs that might need doing. Looks like it might be a difficult decision. Hopefully you get the right one,Stay safe and keep well all.
Hi Ian, I hope the black smoke was not some farmers piece of equipment going up in flames, insurance is one thing but there is still a loss involved. How different tractor salesmen are against most of the car lot, getting my head round all the switches and what they can do is a bit mind boggling. When actually working each part I'm sure it comes clearer. Looking forward to seeing you use it.
Whether it was the explanation of everything but I thought that seemed to be the most complex of the three you've had 🤔 I'm biased but still like the Case 😁👍
Looks well that 5S, I’m personally not a fan of the droop nose tractors from any brand but I understand it’s advantages for loader visibility. I’m not a Massey man but the new 7S.210 dyna VT could catch my eye when our T7 needs changing. However I think new Holland are in the process of updating all their cabs, they’ve started already with the T7.315. Looking forwards to seeing your thoughts compared to the T5 dynamic :)
One thing you touched on there Ian. Hedge trimmer, why don’t Tractor manufacturers fit a custom control box/shuttles, instead of having to butcher the cab to fit the controls?🤷
Very smart Farmer P,good service hrs, nice droop nose, 2.1 ton lift, you’ll be able to load two bales hay/straw in one hit, think you’re going to be impressed.🍻
Good vid Ian 👌 👍🏻 can't wait to see it being used in anger 😆. One thing I noticed when we got our first cat 3 tractor was the linkage would not fit into some of our equipment as it was only designed for cat 2 or smaller 😀 😉 and the tractors had no problem modifying ones that you had not noticed clearance issues 🤪. Stay safe 🏴
Also you can push a button to active the pump up to 100ltr for loader work..super fast.. Also check out the brake pedal feature.. you don’t have to clutch with the loader work.. smart.
Interesting, shed load of buttons, not sure you had your usual sparkle looking at that one it felt to me like you were thinking heck I've got a lot to learn here, still proof of the pudding will be taking it out on the roads, hope it goes well.
So far all three salesmen have got the same overdrive approach. They talk and show 64 things in 8 minutes. Whichever you choose, get the rear tires loaded with beet juice as a deal throw in along with the loader. When the mustang breaks you will still want to move bales.
them 5s are getting some seriously good reviews,i know somone whos poss looking as well, depending on a few things. they are very popular down this way with the dairy guys thats for sure, last pass of the dealer(alan snow) they had a good 10 sat in there, all loaders as well and i see a lot while driving round as well
Good evening Ian, I have now started to dream of tractor’s so what you are like god knows, Great video as always you take care of yourself and stay safe and well.🚜🚜👍⭐️⭐️.
Farmer P My mates NH combine went up in flames on the 8th of Aug. He is a tenant farmer on the Beaufort estate. He was in the wheat field at Hall Lane, Horton. He lost the combine and half the field.
I might have to change my perdition, sassy massy does have some really nice features, like the hood slope, only problem is everybody goes by will see you scratching the gonads 👀😂 dang nice looking tractor
Hi mr p I hope you will like that Tractor 🚜 and pick one that will work for you and teach your daughters how to drive it and use it and give them a class for they don’t dive you crazy keep asking you how do it work with all that new Technology have a nice day
Hope you have enjoyed driving the 5S Ian?You can also have the t bar like the 5711m Richard had on demo, and a different loader control which would still work well but, help lower the price as an option, looks a real nice tractor. Mike
Hi Ian, I have to say my first impressions of the Massey is it looks quite plasticky / cheap, the new Holland or case looked like a much nicer build inside and out.
Now that is a nice tractor it’s got everything on it if you like all the gadgets but could see you getting on very well with that but I bet it’s a nice price as well Ian.
Ooo! Sounds great but will it pass the Ian test! Can't wait to watch your report on testing it on the farm and on the road! 👌 Especially as you were so impressed with the New Holland!
.... Easy Peazy ..... you got this ... just overwhelmed because he was giving you all the big and little info like being hit with a fire hose .... best lookin steering wheel so far ... and the forwards reverse on the loader lever is huge .. when you were on the other loader and had to move a hand to change direction, I thought how yester year is that now that they are automatics or what ever they call them ..... and the pillar for the two weeks ye on the hedger .. meh! ..... lookin forward to what you say when you are workin it .... just as a side note, brand means nowt to me, best bang for the buck is what counts .... and out of the shop makin money, not in the shop where it ain't makin money ... if the wheels ain't turnin it ain't earnin ..... thx for the share FP .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
From the outset, the spec (if that’s standard) seems better than the T5. If there’s a choice on the trailer brakes I’d be going hydraulic and air brakes, air is way better. Liking the snoopy nose bonnet, what it like service wise with it 🤔. Liking the cat3 linage as well, covers you for anything and just get some new balls mate 🤣🤣
To me as an 80s tractor driver the massey seems to noisy 🤔 to much going on definitely compared to the T5 . Will be intresting to see you out on the road with it Ian
I havent drove the new Newholland's yet but the T7040 i didnt notice the noise the whole day sitting in the aircon, opened the back window last day and teh noise was awesome crazy how good the cab is
Flappy paddles, cruise control and go faster steering wheel this has you written all over it!! Roll on the 120mph videos. Did you ever find out what the column of smoke was?
Thanks for end each video you've done so far the end music I have now got it as my alarm tune to get up in the morning 👌🚜🚜🚜👍👍👍🤞🤞🤞🤞 what tractor they might be a little surprise coming to you any chance of sending your address ???
nice to have a nice shiney new tractor but with all those electronics & they go wrong, wich will useually do when warrentys run out, only one word exspensive.
Farmer p is like a boy in a candy store which lollies can I buy think that so far the new holland sales man was best at explaining the tractors to you .he was explaining slow at what he was showing you and that makes a good salesman problem with the modern tractors is there are to many electronics in them and to much to find the fault when something goes haywire need just a basic tractor with just what you want in or on it .
tuff choice i think between the case and massey, but it all comes down to price, simplicity i think case has it but for extra's the massey has it... end of the day they all basically the same, its down to price and prefference.
I was talking to one of our local Farmers last night who's taken delivery of a new Massey in the last month or so. The issue they have had (and to be fair I don't know the model of it) is that they ordered it with different size tyres to standard. The new machines apparently have a different style of hub to previous machines and as a result they haven't been able to get the right size tyres for it as yet. Usual Supply and Demand issues I guess but might be worth checking before you order it (if you go for it etc, etc) that it will come with what you have ordered.
Best tractor you have looked at. Easiest one to fix and get parts for. The best view of the loader , in my opinion you have just had your new tractor delivered.

Looking at the various different models you’ve looked at the Massey has the best vision for loader work with that sloping bonnet.
It did. 🙂
Just by the salesmen interaction I like massey then new holland then case just for the fact that I like people who sell something I want not what they want to sell me. I know there alot that goes on off camera just what has been put on camera.
Hello from the Netherlands and thanks for the video. Sincerely, Hollandduck
That is a beautiful looking Massey. Keep safe friend and keep on farming.
Ian. Your having all the fun playing with the new gear.
Glad Richard’s back home now.
Ian,
Hats off to you farmers operating these tractors. Hubby says it was easier to operate a shipboard nuclear reactor plant!
Thats the Rolls Royce of all Twacktors. Treat yerself,; better than 20 years of missed holidays and will certainly put a big smile on ones face everyday. Go for it. Capeability killed the Brown (David).
Nice to see a Massey on the farm. Great little tractors. I really like the shuttle gearbox so simple to use.
Good evening Mr. P. nice looking pease of kit but i did think it was a bit more complicated than the T5. Will be interesting to see how you get on with it in the next video. Keep well and stay safe.

You won’t be disappointed. They are a classic tractor
That fire was in a village near my called ranskill huge tyre fire
A very good Monday evening to you all
💕If biskit could talk I wonder which tractor she would choose & why 😃💕

Nice one 👍 I like the idea of forward and reverse control on the joystick for the loader
Get the massey. It looks spot on
Enjoying the tractor shopping videos, so far. by looks. the 5s looks the comfier cab
Another great video has always farmer p ian and Mrs p Sam emma Abbi and holli and miss biskit miss crumble miss gypsy miss pepper and miss pickle 👍
Pure aesthetics only, im loving the Massey, looks nice. Hopefully its as good as it looks

I like that tractor, looks a good bit of kit. It's all about the costings before the pen hits the order form.
in kent where i live there has been loads of field fires and one started by someone had a bonfire and spread evrey where

Great video Ian have to say I’m not a Massey man at all but that’s one fine tractor very impressive
The sales man nearly had me buying one 😂
Thanks for sharing all the things you do !
Have you looked at Valtra? Best value for money in my experience
Nice , get it 👍
Good evening Ian, I have now started to dream of tractor’s so what you are like god knows, Great video as always you take care of yourself and stay safe and well.🚜🚜👍⭐️⭐️.
Farmer P
My mates NH combine went up in flames on the 8th of Aug. He is a tenant farmer on the Beaufort estate. He was in the wheat field at Hall Lane, Horton.
He lost the combine and half the field.
I know who your talking about, I saw the photos on Facebook. Quite a few combines gone up this year. Everything is tinder dry.
I might have to change my perdition, sassy massy does have some really nice features, like the hood slope, only problem is everybody goes by will see you scratching the gonads 👀😂 dang nice looking tractor
Looks good Farmer P , next it's the test looking forward to watching the test run
looks a very smart tractor
Hi mr p I hope you will like that Tractor 🚜 and pick one that will work for you and teach your daughters how to drive it and use it and give them a class for they don’t dive you crazy keep asking you how do it work with all that new Technology have a nice day
I think that black smoke was fire at Ranskil Nottingham 20,000 tyres on fire
Interesting Ian, thank you. Too complicated me thinks!!! The 135 is more my style. Take care.
Wonder if they do these with a ' Gaming Chair ' inside =-P .
Nice bit of kit that
Hope you have enjoyed driving the 5S Ian?You can also have the t bar like the 5711m Richard had on demo, and a different loader control which would still work well but, help lower the price as an option, looks a real nice tractor. Mike
Hi Ian, I have to say my first impressions of the Massey is it looks quite plasticky / cheap, the new Holland or case looked like a much nicer build inside and out.
The build quality of the.massey.is excellent
@@hughcarrigan7824 in your opinion…
You’ve obviously never sat in a new Holland.
There is not much between any of them, I have bought and driven most brands over the years, most of the main brands are excellent.
I found the build quality of all three quite good, some bits better than others though.
Now that is a nice tractor it’s got everything on it if you like all the gadgets but could see you getting on very well with that but I bet it’s a nice price as well Ian.
That’s the best walk through so far. And that Massey is class nicest motor you’ve looked at to date.
Ooo! Sounds great but will it pass the Ian test! Can't wait to watch your report on testing it on the farm and on the road! 👌 Especially as you were so impressed with the New Holland!
Nice and RED😁
Thats the one, should be a good fit with the size of equipment you use. Check the seat out.

@@andyellis307 ah okay
That is one good-looking tractor, Ian. Hope you enjoy her !
looks nice too 😉
The 5S is a good tractor, we have 4 pf them.
Be wary of “the boost” in a NH, I always found them lacking power when compared to a straight comparator xHP tractor
I would agree and mine drunk fuel like it was going out of fashion , moved to Claas , problem over!
Evening ian, nice content again cheers 😄
And now.the play time.begins in a big red tractor. Go.farmer p
Impressive, makes the non multi controller case very dated
Great content again
Whats your favorite so far
Nice T shirt 😂
Are there going to be any trailers full of osr ? Might make an interesting tow test.
How did you manage to take in every thing Phil said lol 😆 very nice tractor though Ian
Most of it made sense, I was always a good student with subjects that interest me 😄👍🏼
The verry man you want to meet when buying a tractor a good sales man

These manufacturers are not making it easy to make a decision. They are all good tractors, so will be hard to choose what is best.
Yes massey ferguson are the best
tuff choice i think between the case and massey, but it all comes down to price, simplicity i think case has it but for extra's the massey has it... end of the day they all basically the same, its down to price and prefference.
Nice tractor Ian but bit too complicated for a technophobic like me I like levers and small maintenance bills🙂
The upside of the Massey over the New Holland is that you won't have to change your title screen!
Hi MrP
Ohhhh you're gonna dream about this one if you don't get it. Abbi's Revenge there... XD
Give me a week I might work out what's what.🙃😀
That’s more like it Massey lovely
Massey Power yes please 👊👊🔴🔴
The massey seems a lot more complicated then the new Holland
Nice tractor 🚜
Too many electronics to go wrong 🙈
That pillar will be a lasting annoyance. Did he say a 4-pillar cab was available?
Now we are talking real tractors 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Much prefer the look of the Massey 👌🏼
By the looks on you face and your expressions I would say your are going blue
