@Michael G Apple To my way of thinking, this has moved you. Do you feel a connection with all these people and all these places, you've had a glorious epiphany of how beautiful the world is. You had exposure to a bright, shining example of what old Satchmo was singing about … a moment of happiness amidst the din of negativity from the sensationalistic infotainment media. 🍀🫶🤞
@wadesorchids7219 • you are so right....but how do we get those nasty people who rule the world with tyranny and evil to come over and listen to what we know mends your soul and makes you only want to do good for the planet and fellow humans...peace. harmony. love.
OMG, Cory Henry is made to be a master in this video. His sound is just spot on. My favorite. Edit: forgive my ignorance, oh... Cory Henry is top self, thank you for expanding horizons.
The great thing about Carlos, usually in the first 10 seconds I know it's him playing, even without seeing who is playing. He has such a unique sound to his music.
All these young people with the legends knocking out of the park. It’s good to know there are new generations that still want to play this great music. I grew up in northern Minnesota and can still remember the first time I heard a timbale solo, I have always really loved that sound. Tito was the master, great stuff. Cindy is fantastic.
To Tito Puente Jr. : The king of Latin jazz is brimming with pride. I saw him a few times at the Monterey Jazz festival and he and his music were magical.
This makes me so happy to see, not just for the amazing musicians (Cindy, you're amazing, as always), but for the theme of brotherhood and the universal language of music. That's never been more necessary than it is now. More, please.
@@thomasl.ayersjr.593Not many regrets when it comes to shows, but not seeing Steve Perry and Journey is one of them, and I had my chances too! I saw Santana in Denver the first time at the old coliseum where they did rodeos after Red Rocks got rained out, and the drive down to the venue was mass chaos for the thousands that were already partying at the Rocks. General admission, so everyone drove as fast as they could lol. We got close and it was an amazing turnout of a mostly Latino crowd that just adored the man and his music. That amazing energy in the crowd and of course the music, was so surreal to me and I was just hooked. It was my first show besides some symphony lol, I was 15 and he set the tone for so many great shows over my 60 years. I've seen him 3 times and that man still rips and will on his death bed. Peace!
Es el mas grande de los Mexicanos que niegan sus raices. El quiere ser Africano. Es mayatero a morir. Guitarista con tremendo talento, pero niega lo que era.
Bringing the love from around the world.. not to mention Tal the monster bassist!!! and what.. Corey Henry!!!! omg !!! Love it Carlos! Thanks for sharing!!!!
I heard/saw Santana at THE Ohio State University in concert, decades ago. He made the bass player retune his “ax” in the middle of a song. Impressed with this musician ever since!
My Father introduced me to Santana back in 69'... Since then I have been hooked,,, Every LP (Band and Solo albums) in my collection, and the newer releases on CD...My Favourite track of all time,, Soul Sacrifice'/'Heads, Hands and Feet' from the 'Moonflower' double live album...77' The drum solo has been a mission for me ever since, and it still beats me even after 46 yrs of trying..I'll not give in though...''this is music to die for,, but keep it live...'' carlos, that guitar looks amazing!! Tal killing that bassline. Tito JR rocking like his father, Salute! and that man on the organ, Corey Henry is working it!
What a classic song played by a legendary band/musician. Loved the mash-up of all the different singers and musicians playing as if they were all together in the same place. Had me tapping my feet just like the first time I listened to it after purchasing Santana's Greatest Hits back in the day. Carlos looks and plays great at 75! Here's to another 75!
Wow Carlos Santana,me recuerdas que compré los boletos para tu concierto en Lima Perú,soy tu fan y aprendí a tocar la guitarra con tu música (sin tener guitarra, solo prestada).Fue aproximadamente en los 68,69.The crazy Government in that time cancel your concert and believe me,I cried like a child.I raised two kids in San Francisco on the Mission district and never saw you there. After my retirement I recorded 2 songs:”follow me until the end “and “te quiero I love you “and I hope you can listen .I wish some day can see you in person and you are awesome and good example for the new generation. My songs are under my name and I live close to SFCO.
One of the best musicians in the world and of all time... Carlos Santana .. I always felt this man was highly under rated and under billed in the musical world... He is a legend among legends!!! He is just FIRE with everything he plays or sings or writes...and has always seemed completely humble about it and would jam with anyone... Mad Love and respect to everyone that plays for change!!! and Cindy...You are phenomenal!!!!
I never heard Carlos do a version of Voodoo Chile....Everything you all do is beyond great...so Carlos its about time..Your drummer is super great...real music..
WOOOOW ! BEAUTIFUL EVERYONE ! THANK YOU TO ALLLL OF YOU !!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ JUST BEAUTIFUL EVERYONE ! Where's My Tissues !!! THIS IS PRICELESS ! I COULD WATCH YOU ALL PLAY FOR HOURS ! LOVE TO YOU ALL ! THANK YOU VERY MUCH !
Unfortunately dexterity in the fingers goes away as we age I can tell by listening to this Carlos is not what he once was which is a shame but I thankful for the great music he gave us and I would still go to a Santana concert
I've noticed though, Carlos never plays it like the way he played it on Abraxas, and to me that is a bit disappointing, as I know he knows how to play it that way.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I had heard that Mr. Santana didn't think his playing was that good anymore. I think this shows he is as relevant as he ever was. Play til your dying breath, Mr. Santana! Truly one of the greatest.
We saw Cindy last Labor Day weekend in High Point, NC, at the John Coltrane Jazz and Blues Festival. Two thumbs up!! Great to see all these folks playing together. Tal is a pleasant surprise here.
Where to start...Wow. I think I will start with something I should look up before I post, but I will just post. Carlos is a Legend...we can all agree. I think his wife is a very accomplished drummer and a wonderful compliment to this ensemble. I believe her dad is a blues player Saunders King (that is the part I should look up before posting - but I will not). The current of music is running deep with this crew. Bravo.

Tal Wilkenfeld is like Obelix in the Asterix comics....she fell into bass playing when she was born or something...such a natural...gotta love her
Wow, couldn't agree more. Came out with it in her hand. Ouch mom.
She is my crush. Im guitar and she bass. Some day i will have my bassgirl like carlos his drummer girl
Love the "Playing For Change" series. Love when people come together to make something beautiful.
And Carlos, Cindy ROCKS!

Can't get any better than seeing musicians from around the world joining and being one. That is a semblance of brotherhood and love.

One of the mambo's masterpieces. Thanks Tito Puente and Carlos Devadip Santana. This version is a beautiful happiness.
