What a great tool. I got them all but discovered I need more work with determining exactly what failed in the conflicts and what instruments were correct and which ones were incorrect, Cross reference and logical thinking will be much harder when in actual conditions. This is a great tool to practice those things while safely on the ground. Thanks Jason.
5/7 but HOLY SMOKES! Three seconds go by quickly! This was an excellent video, and I'll be sure to regulate my scans to more quickly and thoroughly gather the info presented to me from the panel.
7 for 7! But I have been studying a lot. Additionally Im hangered in KLNA and studying with a CFII pilot that came down just before Trump TFR and just left today! I actually started training with a CFII at KFXE. Then on our second lesson he had to cancel with a fever and I haven’t heard from him since! So I start with a new CFII at KLNA on Monday!
got them all easy, first instrument to look at is the VSI, second inst is the turn coordinator, that tells you all you need to know right there, then with any time thats left look at the heading indicator and attitude ind just to verify.
Definitely got the most out of this video. about 5 out of 7. can't wait to jump into the plane with my CFI and practice unusual attitude under the hood !
8 for 8! I just completed by first 2 under the hood flights! It is like work! First day not bad but I had something happen that my instructor had never had happen. When I came out from under the hood, I had trouble judging distance. I recovered but not until we were actually on the ground. I think it was because as a bifocal glasses wearer I was switching from one part of the lens to the other and this tired my eyes. Have you ever heard or seen this? Yesterday I used the hood instead of the ones that attach to glasses. I did not notice it as much. Interesting! I am going to check out your ground school and just might do yours along with Jepessen. I enjoyed this video and think it would be a plus to do this after how far behind the airplane I was yesterday. It amazed me how quickly you can get behind the airplane and how hard it is to get caught back up!
Great Vid!! Have to say, I got them all, up until the last 2... sigh.. Makes me realize, that I need to work on scanning. When it got down to 3 seconds, I got them wrong. I'm VFR so it's not so critical. I also know, that in clear skies, VFR that's not a big deal to miss it in 3 seconds, but if you happen to go VFR to IMC (without IFR Rating) that could be deadly. Great video showing that no matter what, you need to be able to scan quickly, and know your orientation, or if there are issues. Feeling humbled... Love it!
Although I got them all, it was the altimeter movement which helped ID the descents and climbs; some of them had the plane right on the horizon, not really above or below.
Great video. Got them all, and even learned with the timing aspect that for some strange reason scanning from right to left feels more natural to me instead of left to right.
Great video! Although you are a master of explaining in all of your videos, the interactivity of this specific one makes for an enormously more effective learning experience. And it makes it way more fun too! Following up on Jack's comment: It would be great to have a video of this style, digging deeper into recognizing the nature of failures of instruments or systems, or to take it even further: cross checking your own observations and actions.
Jason, I’ve been watching all of these for the past eight days. This is the most fun I’ve had watching a Navy Asian training video. Fantastic work man.
I missed the first one but after I got my head in the game I got the rest of them right. This episode, along with yesterday's episode, has got me wondering: Do glass panel systems produce the same conflicts or have they remedied the issues of these conflicts form ever happening?
These are always fun, got them all but yeah, knowing off the top of my head what caused the conflicts in a flash would be the next level of difficulty.
Missed the first conflict, got the second one right. The others were not too difficult, but I also wasn't in the air and lost in clouds lol. Fun one there! Thank you!
I think the conflict was descending Left turn. Turn coordinator is electric so it would still be accurate and showed left turn. VSI is static and showed decent.
Missed one. The first conflict. After that I started my scan with the turn coordinator, then attitude indicator then altimeter and vertical speed indicator. Really good stuff!
Love your videos and great tips and tricks any tips about my sling tsi rotax engine that prefers car gas not many airports offer car gas and the av gas low makes my plane is dirty from the exhaust. I love it beacuse of the power and decent range as in cruise i burned 5- 7 gallons per hours at 145mph
I use the speed indicator to help with descents and climbing. In this, there wasn't a large difference between the level and descent speeds. Just seemed strange. Otherwise, I got all of them.
So that first conflict... we have vacuum gyros showing level and no turn, but electrical turn indicator is showing left turn. How do we know it's the vacuum system that failed? What about a functioning vacuum system and a tumbled electrical gyro?
I got 5 out of 7 . I'm a student pilot so this is great. I have not been able to fly in over a year so anything I can learn is a blessing. Thank You
10 hours student pilot .. got them all. A great training aid!!
What a great tool. Great video. It worked out well that you took the time to explain the first one. Made it easier to scan faster in the clips afterwards
5/7 but HOLY SMOKES! Three seconds go by quickly! This was an excellent video, and I'll be sure to regulate my scans to more quickly and thoroughly gather the info presented to me from the panel.
100% for this VFR-only pilot!
I now have more confidence that I may actually be able to do the Instrument Rating.
Very fun. I loved doing this exercise. I could do this all day!! And I got all of them right!!!
Jason! You’re a great teacher! That was great fun. Got 3 and I’m just an old beginning ground school student! 👍🏼
Rock on! Thanks for watching!
100%. Worked on the same stuff in the air today with my instrument instructor.
I like this exercise. Am studying for IFR Written and this is helpful. Missed the first conflict but got the second one.
got them all easy, first instrument to look at is the VSI, second inst is the turn coordinator, that tells you all you need to know right there, then with any time thats left look at the heading indicator and attitude ind just to verify.

missed one Jason, the first conflict. I thinkl I saw a similar video in the online instrument ground school I took. Thanks for doing it Jason
8 for 8! I just completed by first 2 under the hood flights! It is like work!

Feeling humbled...
Love it!
Although I got them all, it was the altimeter movement which helped ID the descents and climbs; some of them had the plane right on the horizon, not really above or below.
Great one!! Got all but one...but also couldn’t determine if the conflicts were static or vacuum🤔
Fun one! Got them all, although I couldn't determine if the conflicts were static or vacuum.
really tough without the magnetic compass to backup the DG
That was fun! Thanks, Jason. Oh, I got them all right.
It was fun. Got the first conflict wrong didn't know the term. Awsome job thank you
Great video. Got them all, and even learned with the timing aspect that for some strange reason scanning from right to left feels more natural to me instead of left to right.
Appreciate you watching Curtis!

Thanks for the kind words and for the feedback!
A year behind but got almost all. Definitely easier as you keep doing it.
Got them all correct, and I am 8 days for 8 :). Keep it up Jason.
Jason, I’ve been watching all of these for the past eight days. This is the most fun I’ve had watching a Navy Asian training video. Fantastic work man.
I just studied cross check scan , and you upload this video. It engages my memory. And I got 100% this time.
lovin' the 31 day SPC!! thank you legend
Thank you for being my Friend Jason. My Best friend
All my "flight time" is on WW2 Fighters game, but got them all. I dream of flying some day. Fun challenge! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I’m a student pilot working toward my PPL and I got all of these right!
6/7 for me. Great series, MzeroA. Enjoying it very much.
This video was good, and I got 100%. I found your video from yesterday to be very valuable and today’s reinforced it. Keep up the good work.
I missed the first one but after I got my head in the game I got the rest of them right. This episode, along with yesterday's episode, has got me wondering: Do glass panel systems produce the same conflicts or have they remedied the issues of these conflicts form ever happening?
6/7 for me. Thank you Jayson and all the MzeroA team for such an amazing lesson.
This is awesome!!! I got the 1st conflict wrong but the second one correct. I got the rest of them correct. Very good exercise.
These are always fun, got them all but yeah, knowing off the top of my head what caused the conflicts in a flash would be the next level of difficulty.
I did get them all although did not know cause of conflict. Tho in retrospect it most likely was a vacuum issue. Enjoy your vids
Great video. I love the 30 day challenge. Thank you.
Did bad but now I know I must study more. Have not flown in 8 years getting ready to take lessons again soon
F A N T A S T I C!!!! This was one of the best ever practical lessons. Sure wish someone had shown me this before but I did score 100.
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
7/7...& 100%. I am Instrument Rated and doing a lot of Unusual Attitude demos for my Commercial Checkride 😎
I got all of them right. Studying my IFR ground school right now so it’s definitely working. Thanks for the videos Jason.
Missed the first conflict, got the second one right. The others were not too difficult, but I also wasn't in the air and lost in clouds lol. Fun one there! Thank you!
Thanks MzeroA.com the six-pack quiz increased my recognition and interpretation speed of the measurements.
* RAM air and static pressure.
🌏
This was a great way to learn. I got them all correct, but it was a challenge.
Nice...loved these at aviation mastery!
Use the Inverted-V Scan for the quick ones!
Wanna be pilot and I got all correct. As below from second one started with the tc
Thank you Jason! Love it. I missed the conflict because i second guessed it.
I got everyone right except for the conflicts. Thank you for this! It was really fun!!
Got them all except the first conflict. Got the next one. Fun!
I think the conflict was descending Left turn. Turn coordinator is electric so it would still be accurate and showed left turn. VSI is static and showed decent.
Enjoyed this. Got them all right!
Missed one. The first conflict. After that I started my scan with the turn coordinator, then attitude indicator then altimeter and vertical speed indicator. Really good stuff!
Love these videos! Missed one!
Still waiting for my Beta LMS login.... :-) I am in my Instrument training now...
Got 'em....barely! Great material!
8 out of 8 days of safety briefs! Learned about "conflicts" today......thats a new term to me.
That was a good one. Got them all right too!
Missed a couple, but got the concept of scanning a certain way to identify what's happening
What a Great training tool. Is there a specific scanning priority when scanning instruments?
Thanks Jason excellent presentation.
Very welcome, glad you liked it!
I guess I'm learning. Got em all! Thanks!
Great video! I really enjoyed the challenge!
That was a great exercise, got the first one wrong however toward the end I was getting the hang of it. Awesome!!!
This is great Jason! Where can I find more ?
Great experience and a lot of fun!
Thanks for the SPC its been awesome so far!!
This was amazing! I got them all right but I am surprised about how good this activity is.
100%. Another great video! Thanks!
Great one! Got them all!
Awesome Jason ! Keep it up!
Thanks!!
100%. Thank you for today’s lesson.
Score 6/7 the 1st conflict I did not picked up on time!
Thanks for watching! Nice job!
Great exercise got them all
Great exercise! That was fun! I really did do better as the exercise went on
Thank you so much!!! Its very good and funny. Have a nice year 2021.
Great great video I got all of them right except the very first one but that's because I was looking for something to be wrong. lol
This is awesome!!! 👏👏👏
I use the speed indicator to help with descents and climbing. In this, there wasn't a large difference between the level and descent speeds. Just seemed strange. Otherwise, I got all of them.
conflicts got me...need to go back and study
Missed one as the tick down on the VSI made me think it was a descending turn.
Got 100% that was awesome.
it helped bunch thanks.
Another great challenge!
Reminds me a little of the unusual attitude exercise we get on every check ride...
That was really fun, now I'm going to be a gauge scanning master! Hah. Or at least a little better.
So that first conflict... we have vacuum gyros showing level and no turn, but electrical turn indicator is showing left turn. How do we know it's the vacuum system that failed? What about a functioning vacuum system and a tumbled electrical gyro?
Got all of them right
7/7. Good practices
Got 100%. Great videos.
Excellent! Thanks for watching!
8 out of 8 still a student pilot this was fun to do.
1 wrong did not get conflict on first try.
These are fun!
Super fun! 😄✈️
what is a scanning adjutant indicator, never heard of it
Love it!
5 out of 7
5:00 Attitude indicator does not show a descent here. So, strictly speaking, a conflict
100% super fun
