Your fascination with watery coastal tales stems in your subconscious …you are the first water sign of the zodiac and your sign represents the bright sparkly blue sea. I’m a Pisces, the third water sign and we represent the sea with all its moods ….. really enjoyed this tale. You reminded me so much of my mum, a fellow cancerian, who used to spend hours knitting and reciting wonderful fairy tales to my sister and I . At the age of 65 , it’s been wonderful to discover your channel and this has been my bedtime story….it being midnight here in South Africa. Sweet dreams 🧜🏻‍♂️🧜🏻‍♀️

Thanks for your lovely and interesting message! I am a classic Cancer. It's so sweet that it reminded you of your Mum and that you enjoyed the combination of knitting and fairy tales 🥰

Thank you, I am really enjoying your tales and to the shared knitting. This week's I'm trying socks for the first time after 45 years of knitting. There's always something to learn even from a mermaid.
In Australia we have aboriginal tales of the dream time. They are a way if teaching, recording history and explaining nature at its best and worse. Maybe your tale is a way of explaining a tidal wave of the past.
Again thanks for spending Saturday morning with me 👩‍🌾👩‍🌾👩‍🌾

Wonderful! I'm glad you enjoy them. I had the same thought about a natural disaster of the past..

I was shocked by how the story unraveled and the mermaid being so unfair! He was only teaching her a song after all. But you are right, it feels like a metaphor for the sea. The sea is never fair in that way. Thank you for telling this tale! I’m really excited for spooky ones later on🥰

Really enjoyed this tale. I live in Cornwall and the sea is such a big part of the energy and atmosphere here too. You have inspired me to seek out some local folk tales! Really looking forward to the next one. I do have a knitting project on the go but had a pile of ironing to get through during this episode. Am going to force myself to sit down and knit next time ❤

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned - or from her POV - where there's a will there's a way!

Absolutely! I find it so interesting how that's come out in this tale - a warning perhaps

Absurd love your soothing folk stories, thank you. Maybe deeper meaning of feminist theory & the power of the moon?
