I have a question. What percentage of dies used in Denver are manufactured in Philadelphia?

Great question. All the master hubs come from Philadelphia. Denver makes its own working hubs, master dies, and working dies.

So if Denver covers the Western part of US, why the San Francisco Mint? And there's West Point Mint on East coast as well. Are they for specialty coins only? Or are they backup Mint locations in case there are problems at the others?

Good question. The San Francisco Mint produces collectible coins, such as proof sets and uncirculated coins. If you go to Episode 01 in this series, you can find out more about what they do. Thanks for watching!

Also West Point is where all the Gold coins are produced and even some certain silver sets.

West Point mints our bullion coins; that is correct. We will be producing videos to showcase the U.S. Mint at West Point later this year.
