Honestly this would be great for a command vehicle, I don’t support the Russians but command vehicles are important in an army usually when you lose a command center you break the back of the frontlines and that’s why so many armies fail when their lines are broken they’re often left broke of contact with other battalions losing cohesion.
It doesn't really matter for Russian forces anyways. They don't really have officers on the ground, there aren't really any NCOs, just soldiers getting told what to do on the radio. That's why there's a lack of discipline in the Russian military, as well as unorganized attacks. Russian equipment isn't even that bad, and Soviets made mindbogglingly high amounts of every piece of ammo or armor. Russia should be winning in Ukraine realistically, just they don't utilize their assets
@y0h0p38 All of what you're saying was true in 2022 and the beginning of 2023, but judging on the situation on the front I'd say the Russians have learned and adapted to their mistakes.

There are even less of these and they will never see combat because they’re not actually combat capable vehicles. 95% of Russian “new tech” is paper tech. At best it can TECHNICALLY work (see the Kinzhal which is a “hypersonic missile”, AKA a ballistic missile modified to be put on a bomber), and at worst it never sees combat and is forgotten (like the Soviet laser tank or the Object 292). The other 5% is something that the rest of the world already had, like the Ratnik kit being such an improvement for Russian infantry to finally start getting issued actual body armor in 2015 (and without all the rest that was promised, like portable thermal vision and Russian variant GPS “GLONASS”).

The T-14 and T-15 Armata will suffer the exact same fate of the T-64 but 100x worse. Too expensive, too unreliable, too complex, too hard to maintain, too slow to produce even in peacetime. Oh yeah the world's heaviest tank is totally not going to sink into the Ukrainian soil 😅 you think just because you spray paint junkyard metal it magically turns it into a fighting vehicle!?
I coulda swore these things saw some combat trials in Ukraine at the end of 2022. Turns out that having a big, heavy and fuel thirst IFV puts alot of strain on supply lines and it was found that the weapons station was poorly armored which meant it was vulnerable to the most basic forms of anti tank munitions. Turns out having tracks in an urban environment where mines and enemy infantry can ambush you from any angles leaves this thing particularly vulnerable
It’s really not a good ifv. Obviously on paper it’s one of the best but the addition frontal protection against main battle tank rounds shouldn’t be necessary in an ifv. It’s not made to destroy tanks and it just makes it more expensive.
What about price, the price is in labour.. They have near unlimited natural resources, with time they can make as many as they want. Logistics and modular mass produced platforms like the t72 have been very effective so far.
Because they don't need the t14 or t15 on the battlefield because there winning the t90m and t80bvm t72b3 are doing fine whats the point in putting the t14 or any new tech up against an iferior foe and potentially giving up its secrets sounds a smart move to me.
Pretty cool tank, interesting to see how it will do in the future if Russia is still in its war against Ukraine. Hopefully the comments aren’t filled with Tank and Engineering experts that know apparently know everything about Russia and its military secrets n what not… hopefully.
The main problem is that it's heavy and uses a T-14 chassis, so it would guzzle fuel, and it's heavy so it would get stuck a lot, and price for these would be very expensive
@@dannycage8672 yes, the puma C is. But given that’s not the empty mass of the vehicle. The T15s empty mass is 44 tons empty. And while I can’t speak on the effectiveness of the puma, the Bradly performs exceedingly well when used properly. The issue of having extra armor is that you need a larger engine, transmission, and tracks to achieve the same speed and ground pressure of other IFVs, which leads to even more weight, which means more fuel needs to be burned. All this considering Russias current supply line issues means it cannot be used for the deep in scouting missions IFVs are usually used for. Ok? Sorry for the rant.

The Armata Universal Combat Platform or vehicle family just looks downright cool. Everybody wondering why we aren't seeing them in use forgets that there are older stocks yet to be spent. Can't wait to see these as the new standard.
what you forget is that when you lose a tank, the chances of loosing the crew are pretty high too, particularly when its a fuckin T-72, T-62 or T-55
even if what you say is true (it aint) then youd have no experienced crews left AT ALL after the old stock is gone, making the T-14 VERY vulnerable to basically everything
if the T-14 was actually in production and functioning we wouldve seen it in ukraine, but guess what, we havent
remember what happened when the AK-15 was supposed to be the new standard? same shits gonna happen with the T-14, not anywhere near enough of them, even if theyre sent to the battlefield
@just1moro168 What would be the reactions of the world (Russians included) when they see the brand new russian vehicle (inevitably) destroyed on the battlefield? That would be a terrible ad for the vehicle. That's also another reason as to why they don't use it. In a world of social media where people care more about looks than facts, they prefer not to look like they are losing (which losing this vehicle would indicate).
@@chewbacca3269 what do you think is more humiliating, losing a couple T-14s or sending T-62s and T-55s to fight in their place in fucking 2024 while claiming to be more capable than NATO (they aint)
@just1moro168 Losing the pinnacle of their tank technology would be more humiliating. Look at how they use the use the destruction of just a couple of abrams as if they have achieved full victory. It's not humiliating to lose old tankbto brand new ATGMs or small drones. But it will be humiliating to lose a brand new tank to an fpv drone worth a couple thousand dollars. @@polduran Except its far worse in Russia. The prototype AK-12 for example was designed to work amazingly with suppressors and optics, was far more ergonomical, as well as fire thousands of rounds without issues. I can't 100% remember, but if I remember correctly, it was cheaper than the production model AK-12, but was "too expensive when we have Ak-74s left over". Like 5 years later, they make the Ak-12 based off the esoteric ass AK-400, which is literally just an AK-74m with a tiny bit of aftermarket parts.
Rather than being a new rifle, its just an AK-74 with a bad fire selector, gas block that just rusts out, and can't be replaced, and rails that don't hold zero

Russia is great at convincing people that it has new advanced technology when it only ever has about 3. There are 7 SU-57’s and 11 T-14’s.
