  • A preview of a one man show written and performed by Ireland’s award winning actor Seamus O’Rourke.
    Presented by Big Guerilla Productions.
This play has been described as sensitive, hilarious, intelligent, absolutely compelling and refreshingly forthright. A man, whose name we never hear, tells us his story of a life, always slightly out of his control…
The madness of a simple rural man… a man shipped off to London at the age of 17…who goes through bouts of depression, obesity and anger issues… finds and loses love, comes back to Ireland to more misfortune and mayhem and yet there is HOPE. This is a story full of hope, where laughter and tears join hands and race us through fifty years of a life, not much different to our own. This is Seamus O’Rourke doing what he does best, storytelling.
It will run at ICC Sat 11 March - Sun 12 March 2023: irishculturalcentre.giftpro.c...
    What Seamus says about ‘Indigestion’
“ ‘Indigestion’ came about after a chance meeting with a fella of my age and stature… he had a great story to tell and although it was a tough life he had led, he remained upbeat and positive. I just thought, with the times that are in it, it was an important story to get out there. There is hope for all of us, no matter how bleak things might seem”.

Seamus O'Rourke you are "The Best " I have followed you & your poetry for the past 5 years, but this is something else. This made me laugh & cry at the same time. Your insight into mental illness, depression & self hate is on so many levels " inspiring." to say the least. I pray that this is just a story that you have made up. But your insight, delivery & emotion makes me think other wise, or you really are a great actor ? I hope that the indigestion has now settled. Please give us more of you magic. Wish I could see the rest of the play.

    What's happened to you Seamus...
I was a big fan of your many sketches, but this is dreadful stuff very insulting to the people you've named and the description of your own actions put you in a very poor light.....
I feel you should use the delete option...
    And do yourself a favour...
