Wow what an interesting array of cars, typical cars mainly from the 80s and 90s that have all but disappeared but the majority bring back memories and images of the past
How many unexceptional cars the people bought as basic transport there were a couple of exceptional cars but what a great coverage Steph cars from all corners of the world including Australia and Mr Mike Brewer great to see him give a talk l am a Wheeler Dealer fan and the three Protons at the end lined up together
Best visual video week thanks, just look those pan shots. Frighteningly amazing cars. Thema looked amazing. All those old Audis. Amazing stories. And two sporty looking series one Espaces. What isn’t there
Any thing but unexceptional, great production Steph. The wonderful thing about your format is you, and the way you bring the best out of the cars and their owners.
Lovely cars, lovely people, and as always, a lovely video. It warms my heart seeing so many XMs in one place. The car meets I found here in southern France are smaller, and I'm always the only person that shows up with an XM so it was really nice to see more than a couple in this video. Of course all the other cars were great too and it looks like an exceptional event. Hopefully one day I can make my way up to England to see all this in person.
It's possible that there were more Citroens at the show than any other marque, I've never seen so much working hydropneumatic suspension in one place before.
Nice to see Ian's AU Falcon make a vist! The organisers should have tried to get Ian to be parked next to any Monaro or HSV Commodore to make an "Australian section" V8 and 6-cyl noise ahoy!
Nicely shot. These old tin boxes are special to us average Joes and Jos, and it's really nice to hear their histories and for their owners to have a platform to recount them. I covet these humble runarounds way more than classic Ferraris and Astons. It's so fun spotting the types of cars that I, family members or friends used to earn. I can't wait for RUclips smell-o-vision!
This might be my few favorite car show concept. I have seen enough six figure classic cars for life. Lets celebrate unexceptional cars that people love!
I went this year with my brother and Uncle, who is now determined to get his extremely rare mundane but special modern classic back onto the road to visit this show which is a Hyundai Accent MVI. One of only 30 left.
I love this format! Sometimes exceptional stories about unexceptional cars. I feel a love for my mk1 Twingo and I love to hear from others why they love their unexceptional cars 👌🏻
Gutted as I had booked my Rover 75 in to display but changed it in April as it was costing me too much to keep on that road as a daily, will give this a watch shortly.
Fantastic video. Love the format, the cars, and of course the stories. Videography is excellent. You must’ve walked 20 miles at this show! Well done Steph! Oh and the audio was very well done - very easy to hear everyone.
I wonder what you call more than one Proton together? Answers on a postcard to. .. 🤣 I enjoyed the look around and mixed with the interviews it worked well. Thanks again Steph for an interesting video. 👍 👍
I like the format of the coverage with the personal stories whilst showing other cars, it's more interesting and you get a glimpse of what else is there too. Thanks for a great video
Steph you could get away with doing maybe a two or three part episode on this one show, the amount of stuff you strolled past worthy of deeper inspection was unreal and alsorts of makes and models too. Would make epic content without question especially in the format you did it (with some owners telling us a bit about them, works brilliantly) I'd say I'm not alone in thinking this💯 aqua blue 70s Datsun (maybe a 140a? Can't remember) was identical to my next door neighbour Mr Sloan's one that I crashed up the side of on my first bmx early 80s, some meaningless info haha🤣
Brilliant idea to get some of the owners to tell their stories, and a great look at so many of the cars at the show. So many lovely cars but I think Monty the MG would be hard not to want to drive home in. Many thanks.
I remember my dad getting his 1st and only brand new car, a "H" reg proton in 1990/91?... he px his gorgeous x reg blue 2.0 gl capri that was mint!.. I know which one I would rather have now ha
Epic! Makes me want to get rid of my 4 year old Hyundai and get something a bit more interesting. Nice to see a Fiat Tempra in the concours area. I owned a poverty spec 1.4 1990 model in red that fired on 3 cylinders! Quite expensive trying to keep that one on the road.
I love your car shows. Such a great variety of vehicles you will never find in the States, mostly because they were not allowed to be imported. A friend visited England in 1986 and told me that I would love it, all the weekend work people did on cars, and the variety. Here in Texas, most local shows are modern American muscle cars, and the shows of my interest are often 1,000 - 2,000 miles away. Keep up the good work. You're look great, Steph!
🙂 Fantastic video, please do more of this type of content in the future. Great to hear the owners talking about the stories behind their own vehicles. Thanks for showing 👍...
I really like how you do things, the footage of the cars with owners talking over it is something you don’t see from anyone else, engaging and effective, awesome!!
Wowsa Steph, what a show! Fabulous collection . Loved the owners story telling - thats what its about . Must say the metallic green rover SD1 did grab my attention - a bit predictable sorry . Thanks for sharing your visit - cheers from Brisbane.
Love the video! I was pleased to see my grey Volvo in the distance during the opening shots. What a shame we did not meet. I was probably busy exploring the grounds the other side of the castle. The 10 minute drive to the castle from the entrance in the south was epic. I kept the dashcam footage. Until next year!
Great coverage as always and so good to see so many 80s and 90s cars that I remember from my childhood in one place and being cherished. I feel like I've travelled back in time. Your Proton is looking sharp too
This is so cool! Such a wholesome event. Thank you, Steph! I heard when I was young from a old car guy: "If you love them, they will love you back." And it most certainly shows in each and every example. (At least their current owner loves them lol)
@@idriveaclassic Would have been lovely to catch up. I no longer have my white Seat 127, but own an awesome brown Allegro which will be attending next year!
Great video....it's the stories that make the cars and it lovely to see the long term ownership cars and their owners....but what are beemers doing there??
Nice of you to mix the viewing of the cars with the stories of the cars and their owners! I am serioulsy considering driving there for the 2023 edition with my Fiat Uno SL, all the way from Portugal!
Steph I love your videos and have watched your channel from the beginning. Thanks to Hutnut. Really wanted to go to the festival of the unexceptional but missed the tickets,.only live 5 miles from grimsthope too 😤😤😤. Would really love you to test a future car and let us all know that you think about the electric revolution. A Tesla would be great. Just for an opinion on what you think of it.
It was just a fabulous day - my first visit and it just exceeded all expectations. Joel in the KA followed us to the show from Stoke and the car really is like new!!
That's my Sunny at 9:45. It's great how many cars you managed to capture. I thought I'd taken a photo of just about everything, but it seems even I missed some cars 😂
Brilliant video, so well made with a lovely selection of cars and an equally nice bunch of people. Gutted I missed it but I'll be sure to make it next year. If I could take anything I'd take an early mk1 Focus or a late 306.
Very strange to see a Yugo Zastava and a Moskvich, they have become very rare. In Serbia you used to see them a lot especially in the South East of the country now most are gone.
This was a great way to cover the event. People and their stories are at least as interesting as their cars. Well done to all those who contributed. Would have been even better if you had shown a bit more of the owners' cars whilst they were talking about them but just a small point really. Excellent overall.
Great Video Steph, like the way you have done the video with speaking to the owners while still browsing around the cars, Sam's Astra was a well deserved win. A great and varied selection of unexceptional cars, through I did notice a few modern. Also good to see Mr Brewer and Mr Smith from the late brake show in the background. Sure the J Reg proton next to yours is from Edinburgh as sure I have a picture of it at my local supermarket.
Excellent video Steph , I miss all of these lovely cars you review because I am so far away just watched your bond bug video and you are a lot braver than me ! My favorite was the brown Morris Ital I had a white one back in the day . Now I drive a 1977 MGB roadster here a love it .Keep the videos coming please again awesome job .
Good Video Steph Good Variety Of Vehicles Love to hear the owners talk about their car's Nice Dress Steph I love your reviews &test drives In the future please do another video like this Thank you & Keep up the good work
A really good video sweety. I absolutely loved the fact that whilst hearing from each car-owner you continued the interview whilst strolling through the multitude of other cars and giving us enough time to adequately see every car you filmed. This really was a very well-thought-out use of your filming-time. Well done you :) x
Great video, my son and youngest daughter were there yesterday for first time, good to see all the cars, some of the marques i have owned over the years.
Excellent Steph - what a great idea to have the owners telling us about their cars. Just my sort of show - NOT full of 'Muscle' cars and MGs etc. These cars are proper everyday vehicles that people cherish - what a line up. Thanks for making the video for us - Take Special Care X X
Fab video Steph! I like this format. Maybe a bit more of the owners with their car at first? I found myself asking, wait, what was that car they're driving? But I think it was super cool
A very clever format Steph.. I like this style of filming a car show with interviews... Brilliant video.. Thank you.. (Phil).. xxx
Ahh thanks Phil xx
@@idriveaclassic I loved the format too, refreshing :)
Wow what an interesting array of cars, typical cars mainly from the 80s and 90s that have all but disappeared but the majority bring back memories and images of the past
Did anyone else spot Dotty (Rover SD1 in Green) from James's Nitrosilvia channel. Its a really great restro series of this rover.
Great format Steph. Hearing owners chatting away while you dazzled us with unexceptional vehicles! Perfect 🤩
Thanks James!

Absolutely love seeing basic daily cars like these
Your videos just get better every time . Love watching them . Well done again Steph

I really enjoyed that and the owner's stories are an instant hit.

Such a great show, a real shame I didn't get chance round say hi but I'll be there next year also
I like the format, an interesting way of composing the video. Good to see Mike Brewer's usual enthusiasm too.
Gutted as I had booked my Rover 75 in to display but changed it in April as it was costing me too much to keep on that road as a daily, will give this a watch shortly.
I’m so so sorry to hear that! Hope to see you soon x

Agree with Mike Brewer. First generation Panda is the car of choice for the shop owners who drive to the top
of Vesuvius every day.
Thank you for putting together a great round-up of the show. Great to hear the owners' stories!
Thanks for watching Chris!

Brilliant idea to get some of the owners to tell their stories, and a great look at so many of the cars at the show. So many lovely cars but I think Monty the MG would be hard not to want to drive home in. Many thanks.
I love David to bits, but I am secretly v jealous of Monty 😂
Love this video, a car for every taste and some nice little stories. Personally I love seeing the old Audi's but that Berlingo speaks to me too.

Oh wow, the legend Stephanie Hirst, with her Nova. amazing
Great to hear the owners' stories and experiences, Steph, it reminds us of why these cars are special in their own ways.
Same! A classic is cool but isn’t it far cooler to hear why that Ford had front end damage for example!
