I love the example you are setting for your boys Ben. You and Meg are teaching all of your kids such independence and self confidence and I admire you both so much.
I enjoy watching Meg do her thing in the kitchen. Cooking, canning, making bread, food preservation etc.. She could be washing dishes and I’d watch!! Go Meg! 💝

I watch a guy who does charity lawn care for people in need. Some are unsold houses in the neighborhood and no one is taking care of the yards; others are people who become ill or have had old age creep up on them. Anyway, he gets revenue of course from his youtube videos of these buried yards. Very satisfying as a form of ASMR. Your weed eating had the same effect. And then you topped it off with the most delicious Fancy Ramen. Those were some gorgeous Noodle Bowls.

The old saying Cleanliness is next to Godliness comes to mind. I always felt that keeping things tidy was a way to show my gratitude towards God that blessed me with what I have. And to stop saying to ourselves, That’s good enough. Do it right the first time! It’s been an ongoing lesson for us. Nice to see you cleaning up.

Glad to see you back. I heard a phrase once that stuck with me. Why keep useful things if you are never going to use them. It helped me get rid off stuff that was taking up space.

Oh man those steaks looked good … this passed Saturday I had a bone in ribeye, Sunday I had a New York and Monday I had a filet mignon
Today I had a Philly cheesesteak 😎👍
Supper looked yummy especially the steak.
Clean up in the spring and again in the fall helps to keep everything under control. You've got 4 boys that can each have a job to help keep the outside organized. Once a week for an hour or two and you'd have a neat yard. They can mow lawn weed whack and clean up tools & materials.
That would free you up a bit too, Ben. Weekly chores are good for kids.

Nice yard clean up Ben, and boys. I believe you don't have a homestead/farm unless you have piles of stuff in places on your property. Right now were ripping apart several pallets to make a winter cat house for the stray cat who adopted us. She's out grown her cooler house.

We are in the NATURE COAST area of Florida. Helene is heading our way.
One of our rescues, Miss Bridget loved Wasabi peas. I'd get this Asian Mix. I'd pull a bunch of the Wasabi and she'd eat those peas up like kids eat M&MS. All of our rescues lived at least 13 years. Our last was 16

Dry done of the golden rod for tea during cough season. And your black raspberry tea it really works with honey. I drank raspberry tea one week then golden rod the next week too get rid of the mucus.

Ben, I'm surprised you aren't using those stainless equipment in your barn for processing. Easy to clean & ready to use. Just a thought. Bamboo is too fiberous to chip up. 😣. Use the large logs to support your hillside along your road, like you did further up the hill. The place is looking very organized. 😊.

Golden rod makes a good tea. You probably have more than you need though, Ha!

Use them for your classes, especially January's class, stainless steel is easier to keep clean when cutting up meats. Just an idea. Love your channel.
I always encourage folks to CHOOSE to get rid of excess stuff- we lost so much stuff in a house fire so no choice - effective but no fun!

Glad you had a good visit with your parents. Also, glad you are back. Brother and SIL did the 3/5 plan when they had to clean out a house and downsize. If not touched in 5 years, out it goes. If not touched in 3 years into the think about it pile. Don't know what shape the old house is in but would it be a good out of the weather storage for the metal?
Get those boys to help you! More hands makes light work!😊
