I’ve lived in my house over 3 years and just been playing a guessing game of how to work this and hoping for the best haha! This has saved my life thank you!
They just want your money, any problems get in touch with your Local Authority if the landlord or his agent does not respond to a request for service within a reasonable time frame, good luck.
Excellent - to the point - brilliant - i just moved into my apartment and i kept turning up the temp and it kept going back down again and the flame kept disappearing.... now ive programmed it all - 21st century lifesavers!!!!
Thank you! Have spent weeks trying to work this out, resorting to using it in manual mode and constantly having to heat a freezing house in the mornings and evenings! Useless landlord didn't even leave a manual...
Thank you so much for creating this very helpful video - I was supplied with instructions for a different model when I moved in. Thank goodness for you! x
Just moved into a new house with one fitted. Plumber disappears and must think I’m a genius 🤨 Great video thank you. Fitted to master bedroom and it’s loud clicking wakes me up at any time between 2 and 4am but should be ok now. Thank you.
Thanks very much, moved into our new house and been trying to work out the online manual for AGES! Should help save on our energy bills now we dont heat the house un-necessarily when we arent home during the day. Honeywell should leave your youtube link in their manual!👍🏻
Great video, after reading the manuals and watching this video it was very simple to set it up. However I was wondering if there is an option to have the thermostat switching on and off based on the temperature set and room temperature rather than the time intervals set come on and off.
The thermostat switching the boiler on and off in order to maintain the required temperature is the entire point of all thermostats. What does yours do if not that?
It does switch boiler on and off, but I want to set it on AUTO and use the temperature as a guide when to turn the heating ON or OFF rather than the set time.
I set the heating timings with the help of ur video thanks . But what if I want to turn heating on for a short time only ,how do I do that ? For instance heating will turn off at 9pm but need it on an extra hr just for one night .
I know it's a long shot to get an answer to my question.. I want to set it up to start at 12AM with 23°to 2AM with 20° and from 4AM to 6AM. Basically, to work over the night twice for 2hrs. The issue is that the times won't remain like that.. and when I program it, is not going forward from 2AM to 3AM for example, and I need to go backwards to 10 9 8 7 ...3 2PM until I have 3AM... Any advice please ?
@@studentofbeneficialknowledge figured it out. occasion 1 = on, 2 = off, 3 = on, 4 = off. as in for occasion 2 set the start time as the time you want the heating off and then the temperature something low your heating will probably never reach - i do ten degrees. do the same for occasion 4. it's not off exactly but effectively it will be off unless your house really reaches ten degrees.
@@mr.y.mysterious.video1 i have just tried it, kept night setting (setting 4) for 5c (for Wed) on Auto but radiators are boiling hot. I have had to turn boiler off. I will look it in morning. The temp of radiators for some reason is not going off even on manual thermostat? Thank you for your help brother.
@@mr.y.mysterious.video1 you're exactly right 2 and 4 should be set quite low if you want them to act as 'off!' functions every year this drives me mad i always forget lol
I called the energy company, they said as the thermostat is not in sync with the boiler, it seems like a faulty thermostat (even though its new). They said they will be replacing it.
On Tuesday night I programmed it to come on at 5am on Wednesday morning only (I deleted the other 3 options for the day), but when i pushed the AUTO button the burner (flame) icon came on. Is this because the temp was currently below the programmed one? I thought the heating would only come on at 5am...? I basically just want the heating to come on at 5am for about 30 mins for me getting up for work then be off until 7pm when i usually get home. Any advice?
Yeah. As soon as you hit auto it's goes into whatever time slot you are currently in. So because it was below the set temperature, the burner ignited. Tbh I've had it off all summer but I think I have it worked out.
Thanks. I can now.set the heating to come on during the day while imnat work in this cols weather rather than putting it on manually in the morning off all today and on manually when home 😊
If i have set my auto on to be 18.5 degrees at 4 different times of the day, why does it keep on changing back to 26 degrees on my screen? Thanks in advance for replies
Thanks for the brill video, we've just had one installed. Could you tell me how i should leave the dial on the boiler? i.e. do I need all the switches on or off on the timer dial??? Does the boiler's dial override the remote device etc, etc... Many thanks.
Hi , Can anyone advice me . I have the model Honeywell CM721. To put the heating on, I normally press the button manual (MAN) and a 🔥 symbol comes on. Some reason, Iv been fiddling with it and the heating system won’t come back on . It’s only displaying the word ‘MAN’ but no heating. Can someone tell me how to get it working again . Thanking you in advance.
The problem with auto and setting the temperature to say 20 degree when the temp drops to say 12 degree overnight and in the morning turn the thermostat on the boiler will run for a long time to reach the target temperature and you find the radiators to hot then you have start turning the temp down manually
Wow I moved in like 4years ago etc but it just puzzled me….just so used to manual it but now with your help explained, all programmed with times and heats great ###just if any1 knows if temp set to 19 from 9pm-11pm once reached 19 at 10pm will it just maintain the 19 or drop as the next heat will be 6am at 18 thanks if anyone can help 👍
I've got this thermostat can you tell me what the symbol is on the top left hand side that looks like a battery and why its flashing .. the same is happening with the one in my bedroom as well
I moved into a flat with this thermostat. I have watched the video and followed it up to where you want it to switch off at night. 4th period. It doesn't show a time for me to alter. How can I get it up?
I was wondering the same thing, but I think it will basically try and achieve that temperature until it runs into a time on the next setting that asks it not too.
@@ChrisSmith-lg1nt Yes of course: For each day set program 1 to time 4:00 and temperature say 20C. Set program 2 to time 6:00 and temperature 10C, program 3 to 12:00 and temp 10C, program 4 18:00, temp 10C. You can then copy this day setting to the other days, the video shows you how.
Hey I've just got this Thermostat from my landlord and what mode (auto or manual) do I have to be on in order for the programmable days to be working? Also, how long for it will heat up my house if I set it e.g. Monday at 4:30am and 22c and then at 7am at 19c. Will it continue to heat the house from 4.30 till 7?
Set it on auto mode for the program to work automatically! The idea is that the thermostat will operate the boiler to achieve the temperatures starting from the time you set. So if you set Monday at 4:30am and 22c, from 4:30am the thermostat will aim for 22c, and continue to regulate the house temperature to 22C until 7am when it will try to regulate at 19C (i.e. switch the boiler off until the house cools down to 19C). After that it will control the heating to maintain the heating at 19C.
@@TheTemporaryTraveller1 he is wrong. They are not off times. But if you want them to function as off times you can set the temperature very low so that the boiler does turn off.
