This video was so helpful , thank you for posting it , the Instructions that came with the unit are not very helpful , , maybe I misread it but my central heating never went off, unless you switched to OFF, I now know that at the end of each on/ off period I need to set to a far lower temp . And the middle period a low temp from start to finish .I carried out your instructions for heating on twice a day , and it turned off at the desired time , Success 👍
Thanks a lot. Just want to understand, heating was off whole night and if the first of six programme is arranged as 21 degree for 07:00 am is that mean, the room temperature will reach 21 degree till 07:00 am or the heating will be activated on 07:00 to reach 21 degree until the second programme time and degree ?
This is really a great video demonstration of how to set up the thermostat. I have a question even after setting up the thermostat for 20°. It shows 26° . If I press the information button (i), it shows 20°. Could you please suggest?
Hi I haven't upgraded mine, but in theory yes - they are just connected to each other with wi-fi which the new one will have. Double check compatibility first though.
I'm in and out of the house a lot and at different times every day. I'm also not bothered about having the heating on when I get up. For me the timed heating settings probably wont be used, i'll just be using the manual setting and will be tinkering with the temperature level. BTW this unit is paired with the Ideal combi boiler my Dad had in his house. Do combi boilers have to have these, or can I uninstall it from the boiler? I'm new to all this.
Yes, manual way is a good way to do it if you're not out on a regular basis. I do that when I'm not working. I have paired mine with a Logic + which is a combi boiler, so you should be ok.
Very usefull video to understand the functionality of the device without having to read the manual, which in any case was not available to me. I would like however to make a small note and may be the owner of the video can elaborate on this or confirm. The device has a thermostate, therefore the on/off depends on wehere the device is located in the house. For example: If the device is located in a space where the temperature does not drop below 22C then based on the programing example indicated in the video, the heating will never function. Similarly if the device is location in a space where the temperature does not go higher than 11C then the heating will be continuously on. Is this concept correct?
Absolutely correct. The remote unit has it's own thermostat inside it and is dependent on its immediate locale, so you have to be careful where to place it.
hi thanks for your video i will try that too because mine is manuel and i set it on 25 but the room temper is stil 17 or 16.5 it will not going higher its not verry warm in house mine thermostate is downstairs and mine boiler is one higher is that too for away and is that why is doesnt heating like it must be
The thermostat measures the temperature of the room it is in. Have you looked on the boiler? Normally there is a dial that allows you to increase the heat of the radiators. It may be set to low and the radiators can't get above a certain temperature.
I only want mine to come on in the evening time when I come home from work. Do I need to leave the Thermostat on Auto all the time or do I just switch it off and then once I come in then switch it it to Auto and it will turn on what I have recorded?
Ermmmm ...... no. This is a central heating controller, not an air conditioning unit controller. The closest it can come to 'making the room colder' is by using it to turn off the heating and letting the temperature drop to ambient.
If the lowest is 5 then is that meaning it is turned off such as for eg we want there to no heating ( completely off ) during the day but don’t want to be physically turning it on and off each day
The most common problem is the location of the thermostat. But because I don't know where your thermostat is, or how you are measuring 'real' temperature I can't help
I wish more instructional videos were as clear and concise as this, really helpful thanks!
Thank you this was so so useful especially in the cold winter mornings 😊
Thank you so much for taking the time to film this, it was very informative and easy to follow xx
Thank you for taking the time to comment! It's nice to have feedback.
Recently moved home and this has really helped! Cheers :)
Thank you! And good luck in your new home :-)
I finally understand how my thermostat works, thank you!!
Thank you for the video. Good break down and clear explanation 😊

if heating is set to auto. can i adjust the temp just for an hour by pressing the temp up down buttons?
Thanks so much for making it easy to understand.
Glad it was helpful!
great video done me a massive favour i could not for the life of me figure this gizmo out

Hi, it means that at 07:00 the heating will come on, and will heat your house to 21 degrees (and keep it at that) until the next programmed off time.
This is really a great video demonstration of how to set up the thermostat. I have a question even after setting up the thermostat for 20°. It shows 26° . If I press the information button (i), it shows 20°.

Excellent ...great explanation
Thank you for your nice comment 😊
Hi, thanks, useful video, i just moved into a home with one of these, how about the setting for hot water?
No problem. The setting for hot water is normally on your boiler itself. Hope the new house is going well!
Might just be the most useful and well explained you tube video Ive seen....😀
\
Very nice of you to say so. Thank you!
Thank you. I have a slightly older model but most of the functions are the same. Is it relatively easy to upgrade the thermostat to a newer one?
Hi I haven't upgraded mine, but in theory yes - they are just connected to each other with wi-fi which the new one will have. Double check compatibility first though.
Very clear, very precise.
Many thanks 👍
Thanks for your video, very useful
You are most welcome

Does this mean that the boiler is constantly running as I would prefer on and off times so I'm not wasting gas whilst I'm not home?
Amazing so helpful thank you
Glad to be of assistance! :-)
Instead of making the room hotter can i use this to make it colder?

Can you please help as to why my cm921 isn’t showing a temp and only a 1 and then at the side it says .5??
I'm really sorry but I can't be of much use with this one. It's almost impossible without seeing it. But good luck.
Thank you very much!
If the lowest is 5 then is that meaning it is turned off such as for eg we want there to no heating ( completely off ) during the day but don’t want to be physically turning it on and off each day
As well as I have programmed it and then put it on auto and the temperature it has been set to is not showing ( hope that makes sense)
I’ve lost my programmes how do I get them back I’ve disabled them. Thanks
Press and hold the "i" button when the programme you want to enable is flashing.
@@clareelliott8644 Yup, What she said. Or take the batteries out and let it reset itself.
Thank you
You're welcome
Why is my room temperature not correct it is showing 23 on the thermostat when the real temperature is 19 degree?

How do you turn the timer off fully every time i turn the thorosat on it on after about 5 min it turns the boiler off ??
You turn the switch to off on the thermostat. You don't need to touch the boiler
i wanted to know how to reset my cm901 to read farenheit
Sorry. We're in the UK. Try googling it.
Thanks :)
Thanks
You're welcome
nice
Thank you!
Can you make a video on how to program this to work once a week? Or, you could just write the instructions in the comments. 🙏🙏🙏
