    Good job. I've always liked cleaning the copper and silver out with Nitric Acid first, I am not sure why so many people dont do that.

      Thank you for subscribing! Many ways to clean up gold and I think this is my favorite way too.

    How much will it be after converting it to 750 gold?
    Question two, if we process the same gold one more time, how much will its weight decrease

    Do you have a video on how to dispose of the chemicals. I read that to neutralize the aqua regia you would need sodium bicarbonate but it didnt say the process. Before i get into refining i want to know the safest waste practice to protect the local environment

    Is it possible to part inquartered gold using something other than nitric acid like maybe piranha solution or anything else?
    Nitric acid is just very expensive and I don't have distillation apparatuses and everything required to make my own of sufficient quality but I can easily get my hands on sulfuric acid and possibly others that aren't so restricted and / or costly

    What happened to your chute you made to make silver shot. I figured you would use that after you melted the gold with the silver to form the shot. Glad to see your back now…Love your videos!

    Very nice... pure gold color is so goldy... is better pour shot or roll thin sheet?

    • @anthonythomasfmg
      @anthonythomasfmg  10 месяцев назад

      Thank you! I haven't found rolling truly saves much acid and can take a little bit of time depending on your roller. (My roller's manual) Pouring shot is definetly easier.

    Try adding some sulphuric acid to the gold solution before filtering. Helps to precipitate out any lead that might be in solution during filtration.

    Inquarting gold then parting it with nitric acid then refine it with aqua regia, how much purity we can get from these steps, is it always more than 999 purity? Cause I see most of refiners do the same process but they refine gold 3 times in aqua regia which consume a lot of time and acids

    • @anthonythomasfmg
      @anthonythomasfmg  3 месяца назад

      Good question... Not always 999, depends on your procedure and the material I start with. Gold plated will always take more steps than karat gold because there is so much more base metal. Perfect procedure also makes a difference vs sloppy procedure. Ultimately you can get 999 with one refining if you start with cleaner gold and you use your very best procedures. Thanks for watching!

      @@hustleusa Yes, I can adjust the heat. If you’re talking about the furnace it has an electric blower.

    Uses aqua Reja gold button doesn’t dissolve can you explain this please?

    • @anthonythomasfmg
      @anthonythomasfmg  5 месяцев назад

      Pure gold should be combined with silver to dissolve properly. AR is poor at dissolving pure gold. I suppose it would dissolve over a period of time but combine with silver then go nitric to remove silver then the gold is broken down into its cement form and AR works fast on it then.
