Buckin that is one beast of a saw. Flip ya for her. Haha. Love the anchor line from the back tree to the stump. Better to be safe then sorry. Great job. Miss the son and love you to buddy.
Oh heck yeah Buckin. That is probably the best running Mac I have ever heard overall. Just the way it comes back to idle after a big heavy full bar cut and just goes back to purring is amazing. Great saw love it buddy. Nice shooting on the fall. Love ya brother thank you. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓

Thank you, Lord for keeping it a butt rig and not a head butt-rigged! A big thanks from a Michigander for your love! Newly subscribed in hopes of more of it to spread around (and patience to better savor moments of exercising land stewardship more safely at a tempered pace).
Great job! All I could think of while watching you buck that beautiful trunk and with lumber prices skyrocketing was one word. Woodmizer! God bless! gw
Wore out two of those 850's back in the late 70's fantastic saws!! Both died of broken cranks. Replaced with 123 Sachs Dolmars, a little heavier but they lasted forever.
Far out billy that saw is a monster .i want it lol .i so enjoy watching u felling precision awesomeness awesomeness. Brilliant vid my friend Canada scotland everyone lets smile and be happy
Love it man!! As always, great work, great times, and great information. Thank you for always being you Mr Smith. Have a great day everyone! Love to all.
Nice. Just scored myself my 4th Mac i've owned in as many years. My 2nd pro mac 700 (still own first one) had a couple pro mac 1010 but had to sell them when covid struck last year to help stay afloat. Was gutted but such is life. Can't wait to sink the new toy into some wood. Only running an 18" but its big enough for what i need.
Great video! Love the strategizing and preplanning.. makes the job easy. I have a 30 yr old McCullough Eager Beaver. True work horse. Nothin beats fresh cut wood smell.
Hate the disappointment on your face when the rope broke... but somehow I just knew that you'd figure out how to use it and dang if you didn't... and she sounds awesome... great job buddy... MAGKD!!! 🐶
You're a great guy, Billy. I've known you all of the two hours or so of video that I've watched of you and can say that for sure, you're a great guy Billy! Stay strong, stay positive and be kind!
Buckin you did a video a long time ago and you were comparing saws and one of them was the 850. I believe you were bucking logs. I wonder if it was the same saw? I remember commenting when i seen the video and I fell in love with the 850. I am sold on the 850. I could imagine back in the day if you bought one new in the box you would not be disappointed. Stay safe friend and keep that 850 in the back of the truck.
It was beautiful watching you drop that tree. I can tell you've done it once or twice before. I thought you bucked that tree at 8 foot so the logs could be sawed into lumber. I have to admit, as an old sawyer it hurt my heart a little to see you cut them up into firewood.
You made that look easy and you saved the little apple tree too. LOL I'm in New Zealand and I'm into offroad racing. So we are in the pine forests setting up race meetings and come across logging crews. I always look to see what they have in the way of chain saws and gear in their trucks. Nearly all of it seems to be Stihl or Husqvarna. You have to have a good safety sense to be a logger. You can hurt yourself about a thousand different ways and none of them are going to be nice or heal quickly.
That no doubt could be what caused the tree to die. Lots of times when a excavator or what not gets more than two feet of dirt around the butt of a tree that will kill the tree. Great fallen. Love wins.
There's a movie on Amazon names "Timbertown, or is it Lumbertown?" Naturally, it's about life in a small timber town. It involves a forester, a DNR Ranger, and a dead man that the forester discovers in the brush when he goes to buck his cut. The point is, I would have never watched it if I had not seen Buckin Billy's fine introduction into being a lumberjack/timberman. Because the only time I came in contact with the lumbering industry, was when I hunted and the foresters were cutting down the trees, near my deer stand, and left me with a 40-acre clear-cut area around my stand. It took two years before the deers returned to that wooded area. Then we lost our hunting lease. Buckin must have given Ganges off for the day?
Wow what a strong saw! Nice Vid, Buckin! One question to you and the buckin' army: how Do you store your saws? Fueltank empty and carb run bone-dry? Maybe you answered that in a former vid, but i chant remember it. Thank you for sharing the Job and spreading Kindness and positivity!
