      Yes, Jasper is a white golden retriever -- sometimes referred to as an English Cream Golden Retriever. We now have another one named Ginger. She is just a year old and keeps everyone (including Jasper) on our toes.

    Hey guys loved your video. I remember Dad taking us to Six Flags, then camping there. Is it still touted as being one a Jesse James hideout? I also remember they had a tour of the cave. Thanks you.

      Thanks so much for the comment! It is certainly a beautiful area. Our video is highlighting Meramec State Park, and I believe the Jesse James reference you mentioned is in relation to Meramec Caverns which is not too far away. Lots of cool places to check out!

    Super informative, my buddies and I got a float trip coming up and this helped give a great perspective. Would you consider the river dangerous around this time for rafting?

    • @TodayisanAdventureDay
      @TodayisanAdventureDay  3 года назад +1

      Thank you so much for the compliment. As far as the river, we were in the area this weekend and it did not appear dangerous. It is always important to check with the River outfitters where you rent a canoe. They will be sure to give you appropriate advice regarding river conditions. I hope you have a blast on your upcoming trip!

    We will be camping here the week of Halloween!
    Could you recommend which camping area to choose 1,2 or 3?
    Also would you recommend some of your favorite sites that you like to stay in?
    We have never been and are very excited!
    Love you channel:)
    Also, do you guys still like your Gazelle tent? We are trying to decide between the Gazelle and Clam.
    Say “Hi“ to Jasper for us!

    • @TodayisanAdventureDay
      @TodayisanAdventureDay  2 года назад +1

      Thanks, Teresa! Super glad to have you following our channel. We love the Meramec campground. We typically stay in the sewer/electric/water sites and prefer 9, 10, 11, 16, 18, 19, or 20. There is a line of sites 112-125 that are nice with lots of trees but no sewer. We have not stayed in that area, though. It is SUPER fun at Halloween. I hope that you are able to get in. We are staying there the weekend before Halloween. :)
      As far as the Gazelle, we do still love it. We don't typically set it up if we are just somewhere for the weekend. Here is one comment from a viewer that might be a vote for the clam: "It may matter to some that Gazelle doesn't offer panels with windows. Currently panels are the only choice and they're not available. I learned that the hard way...didn't shop and let the youtube videos of Gazelle persuade my choosing and now realize I should have gone with Clam for my needs. Live and learn." I bet that both are great choices.
      Good luck and happy camping!

      @@TodayisanAdventureDay , Thank you !
      I will look online today and and try to book one of those sites!
      How does the gazelle hold up in rain?
      When the panels are on does it keep most water out of the tent that would be our biggest concern?
      I will look into the gazelle and clams a little more before deciding.
      Thanks again,
      Teresa

      @TodayisanAdventureDay  2 года назад +1

      A tiny bit of rain does come in between the panel and the tent. The mesh is tight enough that the water pretty much stays on the outside. We just use it to cover a picnic table, so a little bit of water is not a big deal to us. Good luck with your campsite searching!

      @@TodayisanAdventureDay , Thank you for your recommendations! We were able to get a site! The first 2 nights just electric then the last 4 nights are electric, water and sewer.
      I double checked our calendar and we will actually be there from Oct 22nd to the 31st.
      Blessings and Safe Travels,
      Teresa
