But also closed source and does have some trackers built into the app. I agree magic earth is probably the best balance between privacy and functionality we have right now. One thing I don't care for however is the lack of contrast between the road colour and the traffic data. I wish they'd make it more visible.
After having read their privacy policy they're no different than any Garmen GPS systems. Meaning if you happen to be useing gps when a crime is committed your data will be collected on a geofense warrent and submitted to law inforcement as a possible suspect.
Sadly, there's not much we can do about that. Our cell providers will do the same On the plus side, within deGoogled Android, this app is terrible at identifying your location until you start it
