Our Single Barrel Texas Bourbon is aged in #3-char Minnesota-grown American white oak barrels and bottled unfiltered. The deep char and lack of any filtration is what gives it the dark color. I don't usually like Texas whiskey, but I just had a bottle of this and thought it was spectacular. I have a bottle of Garrison Bros Balmorhea and found the Rio Brazos to be wayyy better. I'd say it's the epitome of bourbon candy in a bottle.
