IMPERIAL THRASHER idk if you remember those cavemen geico commercials, they were so popular that ABC abruptly canceled George Lopez to create a series featuring those cavemen and take his time slot. It was a definite low blow for a show that had terrible ratings and barely lasted its first season.
George Lopez was my favorite show ever it showed me right from wrong and how to deal with people nice..rude and the show taught me how a family is supposed to be I had a "family" but I had to do EVERYTHING by my self so thank you to George Lopez and the cast for showing people how families really are! Thank you so much love you all!

Going on 12 years on Nick at Nite now. That's amazing! This cast was great and had amazing chemistry. Most family shows now don't have that like George Lopez, Fresh Prince, Growing Pains, Married with Children and other family shows of a previous era.
I watch it everynight. It comes on at around 2:30 am everynight and last till 6:00 am. I am still wide awake by the time the last episode for the night goes off. Then in the morning on a few other channels it comes on sometimes. I love this show :) Always makes me laugh and sends a message at the same time. It would be so cool if they came back with a new season like a where are they now George Lopez show like they did with full house.
The thing that’s ironic now is that TBS has his show in syndication after he got shafted out of his own talk show when they brought Conan into the network.
I just don't know, I just got teary eyed before Valentine said when he found George in his dressing room balling out crying on the Thanksgiving episode. He loved the unity with family. I truly loved their bond.

Just bad timing and decisions made by the exec.'s sadly. I remember that they had put up to some prime time shows and constantly moving time slot. That mixed with the major writer's strike happening at the time. Damn shame this show had at least two or three more seasons left. It deserved a proper send off imo.
