- I picked up the best nipper/nail knot multi-tool the other day and thought I would share my honest review. In the video I go over how to tie nail knots for various situations. Using this fast tie tool, I tie a blank hook to line, spin cast fishing lure to line, fly fishing backing to fly line, and floating fly line to the leader. This tool also cuts line with the nippers, can sharpen hooks with built in file, and can clean hook eyes with built in needle.

Great video, thank you for sharing. I ordered 2 of them a month ago, they just came in the mail. I have trouble tying fish knots, since I broke both wrists in a fall, a decade ago. The Ad video showed very little about how to use them, but your video made it clear. Thanks again.

Great video, finally know how I can use these, thanks! Can they be used to tie tippet to a fly hook, so that you can have two flies (example: a dry fly and a nymph at the end) ? If so, can you make another video of how? Thanks!
You definitely can! Use the same method I tie in the end of this video when I tie the line directly to the hook.

Does this tool work for jigs?
Chris Canaday sure why not! Ties everything really easy and cuts line no problem.
Does this work with braided line?
I thought he used braided line in the video.
Thats a lot of fly line to cut. You should slide the knot closer to the end before tightening.
can you use this for braid to mono?
I have before yes. You wouldn’t believe what that knot clinches onto.

I just don't know what the heck i'm doing wrong when I use a similar tool lol. My tippet just slides through the knot. (Trying to tie tippet to leader)
Hey Man, tbh, when attaching tippet to leader, I use the double surgeon's knot. RUclips that knot, super easy and quick.

Can u use this for braid and Mono filament line it keep slip on me

Copy of the Tie-Fast Knot Tyer Combo Tool by Sierra Stream and Mountain. Theirs is stainless steel; don't know about this product, their website link doesn't specify material. Only benefit I see with this product is the added plastic / rubber finger pads and the retractor, at about the same price as the Tie-Fast with no retractor included.
The tool sold by Tactical outfitters is way too short ( the forked part)

This thing is a poorly designed gimmic
Tool doesnt work... Braided line slips right through the flourocarbon leader...only works for hooks and lures 😡😡😡

You have to do a double Nail Knot... do this, flip it around and do it again and you're gtg!
