That speed and simple knock dribble, combined with his flair and crossing, this man for me, the best left winger ever.. I watch giggs, bale, lentini, ginola, etc.. But none of them were as simple yet deadly as serginho was.. So fast and direct

Tolis 1892 serginho at this time was competing with Jankolovski and khakaber kaladze for left back. Both were very fantastic players too. Maldini was playing at center back. Acelotti’s first choice was Jankolovski but I personally felt serginho was better. Kaladze also played center back if maldini/nesta/Stam was unavailable. AC Milan had a crazy squad

Only one year playing that role and milan alredy bought him . He mostly played as Rm ,often Lw ,rarely St showing everibody what you whatch in the video.But then in 2004 ancelottti forced him to play again as Lb just cause he was in too good conditions and That role was the only one available with kaladze being the best option.He Played a such good end of career in that role showing great defensive skills and still quality attacking.For these reason before world cup 2006 everybody in brasil wanted him back as substitue for roberto carlos but Serginho retired from national team in 2002 deciding giving everything to AC Milan.For all these reasons ac milan deciding to include him in the list the best 50 players who played with that shirt

this just shows you the level of football that was 15-20 years ago compared to now. this dude for most part of his career was reserve player in Milan and wasnt even considered by Brazil, yet today he would be one of the best in his position. the truth is back then there were so many great players that seeing Serginho coming off the bench and delivering something like this was nothing special. that Milan had Rivaldo on the bench for gods sake. back then you had to have balls to be the best in your position rather than physicality when today its all the way around - everyone is 18-20 years old because of their superior physicality, but there are no men on the field, no balls, nothing.

this just shows you the level of football that was 15-20 years ago compared to now. this dude for most part of his career was reserve player in Milan and wasnt even considered by Brazil, yet today he would be one of the best in his position. the truth is back then there were so many great players that seeing Serginho coming off the bench and delivering something like this was nothing special. that Milan had Rivaldo on the bench for gods sake. back then you had to have balls to be the best in your position rather than physicality when today its all the way around - everyone is 18-20 years old because of their superior physicality, but there are no men on the field, no balls, nothing.
