Got ours through Amazon, the brand was Zinus. Fiberglass galore. 😵 Got rid of it and still have fiberglass lingering around our home. Got another bed, through Walmart, didn't state that it contains fiberglass on their website, but long behold...fiberglass after sleeping on it. You have to question these stores/companies beforehand on whether the beds contains fiberglass from where it was manufactured from. You can just buy a bed nowadays. You have to do your research 🤔
I almost made this mistake until I read the tag on the mattress that literally screams in all caps not to remove the cover because there's fiber glass in the mattress. I then proceeded to think "Yup not touching that and probably gonna get a new mattress in two or three more years."
With the tag on one of my mattresses behind a bed frame, I'm even afraid to pull it even slightly with the possibility it will create a tiny hole for fiberglass to exit through
You don't even need to remove the covers or in my case, it was in our bed. It was all over the place underneath our bed! We didn't know when it started seeping out. Our kids started to developed rashes all over and couldn't figured out what had caused it.
Bought my son a mattress from Wayfair approx two years ago, I washed the spread not knowing that it was full of fiberglass. My son ended up tearing wholes in the thin mattress overlay and has fiberglass all over his room. He’s been complaining about numbness in legs, dizzy upon standing up, coughing and now red swollen itchy eyes. What in earth do I do? I guess take out everything and start from scratch? :(
I have the same mattress. I've a really bad itchy throat for 5 months now. It's really bad every time I wake up and I have to blow my nose 8-10 times every morning. I thought it was allergies and I'm finally realizing it's the fibers all under my bed. I've vacuumed and wiped under my bed but it just keeps coming out. I don't recommend it. I've spent money on doctor visits, allergy meds and the feeling is just horrible. My wife has the same symptoms every morning.
Yup just 2 weeks ago I put 4 mattress covers all my kids and holy crap did I also ruined all their bedding sheets and comforters and school uniforms since the washer had fiber glass in it. I threw alot of clothe and blankets it was an almost $300 bot including the 4 new mattresses Ihave to replace not getting memory foam again just saying
Yeah, this isn't anything new but you forget about it until another story comes out about things like this or other topics. If you hear about something let's say when your 20, you may not hear about it again until you're 30. Meanwhile the people that work 10 when you first heard about it are now 20 and hearing about it for the first time... And so on and so forth- - I was glad they didn't overhype or under-hype this story! It's nice to see one of those buyer beware type stories that isn't just ridiculous. This is just nice and informative. Generally speaking that's kind of how information should be shared but yeah anyways, definitely a story that was put together far better than most!
Stupid title. Fiberglass is not IN memory foam, only some memory foam mattresses have it as a barrier. You’re fine with memory foam mattresses that don’t use fiberglass.
It literally says do not remove the cover. And who doesn’t flip their mattress every 6 months? Should have found that hole long before 7 years. Don’t blame the company. Blame yourself. Move on.
my bed is only a few months old. I haven't flipped it I've just washed my cover and there is fiber glass all over. All we can do is move on and shop carefully...
If you shouldn't remove the cover then there shouldn't be no zipper on the matress. Don't blame the people for not knowing that there's literal GLASS in the matress they're sleeping on.
@@jvckiwai7715 k dude. I’m sorry you and apparently a lot of other cannot read properly. I know if something tells me in their directions to NOT do, I won’t be doing it “just because they put a zipper on it”. 🙄🤦🏼♀️
Seek the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ before it's too late. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Hell is real and Heaven is also real. You don't want to spend an eternity in Hell torment without God. The only way to escape Hell is to follow Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour. Study the KJV Bible to know more and pray and seek until you find Jesus...
This should be illegal
100,000 thumbs up!
Agree
Sleeping on fiberglass mattress covers sounds like a bad idea

Yeah my memory foam mattress has a fiberglass cover as well
I'm having the same problem with a different company! And was told I should just throw it all out it's not worth fighting
Is it sealy or beauty rest ?
Also let me tell you wearing a shirt or pair pants that has fiberglass feels horrible. It itches then starts feeling burning sensation

They don't seem to concerned...
Well.. this is not what I expected.. guess I’ll have to stick to good ol’ cotton or the future silicone pad
What a nightmare!!!

@@Ptttttttttttttttuh Make sure you use a mattress protector on top of the bed. That way you only have to wash that.
