Oh wow! I think I've seen at least the lionfish, but I never knew the name for this family. They're absolutely gorgeous, all of them. I would never want to step on one, for obvious reasons. I'm surprised they're hunted by predators at all.
Stonefish and Scorpionfish belong to the same order, Scorpaeniformes. Scorpionfish and Stonefish are two different species within the same group but not the same species. So it is wrong to say that 'the Scorpionfish is also known as Stonefish'.

I own a scorpion leaf fish and a lion fish. Really love these guys. Super cool little dudes. Well not the lions they get huge and eat anything ahha

The fish I'm the thumbnail isn't even a Scorpion Fish.
The fish in the thumbnail is a Pterois sp. with is part of Scorpaenidae, so I'm not sure how you're drawing that conclusion..?
