Undisputed in terms of mastery of the craft. This is my escape pod when I need to get away for about twenty one minutes. There I can be anything but more often I am just a student in awe of these masters of electronic music. This one has some roots - simply fantastic piece for those that wish to see what lies on the other realms of reality. Relax and enjoy this one, it is special, very, very special.
Only a few adventurous souls are going to listen to this . A lot of people will understand it takes many listenings . Dedicated in silences to new listeners and those that have been here before
I still Remember when the concert was released,I was in London and bought the full lenght cassette tape at HMV shop in Oxford street, than straight into my super walkman and took direction ti Hyde Park...I Will never forget the emotion listening to the whole concert,I'm so grateful to TD ! Thanks so much guys, and RIP Edgar.
Such an absolutely sad part ( remembering bad times then ) ... and how it flares up in such gloriousness one might have had to go thru a bad experience to really appreciate this

What's your first, Beard? Interested to know. Cloudburst Flight? I love this. Even though, I realise later, there was a lot of studio post-prod on it. But, first few minutes - 'the Stranger Things' bit - just brilliant.
danieldiver11 - Hey Daniel. Thanks for the comment. My Fav is Coldwater Canyon, off Encore. Yea, my fav parts of Horizon are the beginning & the end, which is just stunning.
This ' song ' is immense ..... Last song of the evening.......... These people have been freezing their asses off...and loving every minute of it .... give me another sip ! Initially did not like this......took a sad breakup to really get into it Well...it is for Petra
In the Polish Torwar Ice Arena 1983 they had tons of issues with all their equipment being the first band to go to Poland with all their junk . Actually Klaus Schulze might have beat them to it ... going to Poland that is KS was in a totally different venue
1983 when synth pop was at its height. TD was on another level. True pioneer's. RIP Ed you will always be my hero. Much missed
Thats true mate, dont forget this was berlin school tho 😊
The synth loop that starts from 5:35 onwards astounds me with how consistently it moves me. Its beauty lies in its simplicity
starts at 4.50.. a beauty!
Still brilliant. Though (spoiler) they fixed it in the studio. Though not as brilliant as the 'Wake up!' Section of logos...
When I heard this as a 13yo, it ripped my head off. It still does 40 years later.
One of my favorite pieces of all time.
The raw power of the last segment will stay with me forever.Excellent album entirely.
classic.. been coming back for yrs and yrs

So emotional....one of the best of TD 80s
Their final masterpiece album...

L'incommensurable apport de Johannes Schmoelling se fait clairement entendre dans ce magnifique morceau!!!
The most BRUTAL ending of a Electronic song EVER!!!
I agree!
And when the doors to hell slowly opens at 14:10, just assume a laidback position, crank it up and let the walls around you tumble down!!
@@tangent4416 haaahaaa it ain't ThAT bad haha
@@scitsalcoryp Not bad at all - just über-fantastic from 18:35 and onwards: )))) Just a perfect overdose of happy aggression!!
@@tangent4416 we love you Tangent441
The last 6 minutes are amazing.
Would go well with lasers too.
Love it. I have this double picture disc. It's great.😍

Love the synth 7mins in. Knocks it out of 'le parc' (so to speak).
I love Chris Franke's sequencer line on part one.
He’s the master of sequencers
Amazing that fans were freezing watching this .
What I would have paid to have been there
Fantastic.

Sensational track
In some 1983 Tanderine Dream songs, the Yamaha DX7 Asian-European internal patch "Koto" was heard.

My 2nd fav. TD song ever and 2nd fav. song of all time, any genre.

Merry Christmas deare friends
Godspeed to you
Great piece of music by TD, R.I.P. Edgar Froese, but the track is called Horizon, not Horizons. :)
Truly the end of all compositions
Best part of that song is the hyper ending!!
Best album/song to Shroom to...nuff said! IMO all the best parts are from Chris F.
About 15 minutes in I like to see how high my speakers can get.
You should also try the opening track after the announcer...
The original is still the best,
Suitable only for the open highway between Buttonwillow and Patterson. You will exceed 90 miles an hour towards the end...
This ' song ' is immense .....
