Many species of ungulates do form a sort of friendships like zebras & wildebeests; springbocks & oryx, giraffes & impalas as a part of their daily interactions between these animals in order to protect themselves from hunters who are mainly because of they being hunted down by most african apex predators like crocs, hyenas, wild dogs & big cats so they form great team work through herds & groups to keep an eye by looking at each other.
They are two types of african ungulates: Odd toed ungulates like rhinos & zebras Even toed ungulates like antelopes, hippos, giraffes, warthogs. You can relate these types of grazing hooved mammals by their shape of their foot who are either toes (hippo) or hooves (oryx, giraffe)

When I saw this documentary comparing hippos and warthogs, I was like " boy, imagine if this was made today and the guy's comments on the fact that hippos are actually more closely related to whales"

I think that whole ungulate theory is too wide and loose. These animals are unrelated, it's just convergent evolution to have hooves. Or it's such an ancient feature that it does not make much sense. By this token you could put all animals having hands in one family and we would be related to bats except they lost two fingers.
Nature docs are always full of animals that are injured they watch die. What happened to rangers? Such people should alert rangers of these things so animals can be saved. The lions have plenty of food. Or lets take the lion with the broken ankle. Makes me hate watching these movies always they like to make it sad and cruel. Man films and watches animals in distress without any regard or help. OH that's right man cannot intervene with nature.....hysterical he already has and that's why so many animals suffer..

It’s plain and clear as day to me seeing all this beauty and splendor that there is only one God, one creator who created the heavens and the earth! What he accomplished in 1 dat we think it took millions of millions of years and that’s doubting the awesome might and power of Go! Jesus my Lord and Savior...
