Ladies, trust me it doesn't lock. You have to know this method should only be used for an extra 1-3 weeks tops!! NOT another 6-8 weeks or longer. And your hair should be washed first, before doing this. I have three daughters and they all wear braids and this helps me out alot.😊
Exactly
what happens if i leave it for 8 weeks😭
I’m confused
Hello, will your hair be tangled after this trick when u take braids down
@@dcain7414 Hey hun, no it will not luv. I just took out my two youngest daughters braids, after doing this method to retouch their braids for an extra 2 weeks. I just take them out as normal. 😊
We, black women, are so creative, resourceful, and versatile. This is an awesome technique. Thank you!
all skin tones are, im tired of hearing js black folks and shii.

@@hxxniiwhat?
For those who stated the hair will lock it isn’t going to lock. There are no extra steps to taking the hair down. You just take the braids out.
That's my concern also
Lawd I refresh mine twice. Not only because I’m a truck driver and can’t always make an appointment but because these thangs are so expensive these days.
Im paying $300 sometimes $400 if they wash blow out and trim. Then some braided get fancy and charge extra because the length of my natural hair. 🤦🏾♀️ So 3 months is my average then when I go back home. I get it redone.
I’ve never had a problem with my hair locking up or losing hair with this method and I have thick 4z bra strap hair hair. 🤷🏽♀️
They charge me 350 plus I tip and I come wash and blowdried. Damn right I am leaving in at least 3 months. I twist my roots instead of crochet, none the less the method is good.
What's the best way to remove them after you use the hook?
I tried this method just on the braids outlining my middle part and I had to reverse it back because my roots became so sore. It had only been 2 hours in and my roots said “nope. Not today.” 🤦🏽♀️
YE-YUH-YEUAH
🤣🤣🤣
Lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
Personally these comments got me mind boggled 😭😂 I think it’s more of the irritation of not doing it 1st ! Idc who u are if u have a life bills and responsibilities , you’re not always going to able to make it to a chair or your stylist. So therefore if the style works for a couple days until you can get in so be it 🤷🏽♀️🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥
Girl take them jawns out this how u turn a protective style into destructive one😒
girrrrrrrrl school her bc this is not it 🙄 all that damn build up at the root on top of making two knots smh
@@mommysambitious2453 🤦🏾♀️exactly
🤣🤣🤣
Lmaoo but yet where was the build up after the work ? Where did You see build up after she was done ? Why do you think she had witch hazel? It was to remove the build up right ! Or what if those don’t want to take them out at the time or can’t make it to their stylist? This is a good method Lmao
@@taytay2391 nah some of us care about health
I love knotless micro crochet braids.
Smart!! Wow. This is creative. Tfs. To everyone reading this, Jesus loves you.
❤️❤️❤️
Just only go one way directional. Like if first one is downward, only go with hook facing down every rotation. That way it definitely won’t lock. It’ll just be like a twist. Hers look 1 month. I had true 2 month old braids and did it how I just explained with at least 3-7 rotations depending on growth. I’m going for 2 more months lol. Blessings to all. 🙏
Omggg did she just interlock hey braids !!!?😱
Yes but it’s not difficult to take out
Can you please give a take down example 😃
Please....i want to see if hair is tangled when taking down
🤔 great idea! May have to try this after my touch up just to extend a lil longer
You should!
@@LondonTayyso I tried it but my hair is short so it’s all unraveled. It looked ok but was terrible to actually take out, and I only had it like that for a few hours. I would never try it again tho.
Hi! Is there a full video of this method? Thanks!
It’s fresh! It looks like the root interlocking will begin to lock her hair. Did she want to get her roots locked or did you tell her how to undo it?
will the hair knot?
Yup
@@mxdejah1536 😂
Yea yeah yuh yeah 😂
@@sandycheeks1580 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yesz I’m currently in this process ‘ I cannot take the bots out it locked up
The interlocking method is for locs, is that what she's going for?
Noooo Nope no Naw No Nope! 😂😂😂😂😂 but for real… this is a good method if you also want to transition into locs 🤩 without going through the short phase.
What does the witch hazel do?
Cleanse the scalp from buildup and flakes

Thank you for the tutorial
Is there a tutorial to take them out ? I did this with out even looking at the comments and now I’m scared.
You’ll be fine , unless you’re trying to go a month or more over
I took it out a week after doing it because I was paranoid lol but it came out easily, I used “mane n tail detangler” (spray)
Gurrrrrrl don’t do that
Wow
Y’all don’t this and think it’s going to be a forever fix. You got about 2 weeks before your hair locks up .
It won’t lock up that quick lol
But I agree with it not being a forever fix for sure
I did that and my hair became locks I was surprise when I took the braids off because I was looking at tutorials like this thinking everything was going to be ok lol
@@unsouspicioussista7640 your name is perfect 👌 🤣🤣 you should have been more suspicious lol
How many times do you pull the end through? Once or twice?
Mostly twice
Good idea
Just take them braids out and start over.... geesh. They are not meant to last forever
I do that, but there are times when I literally do not have enough time to take it out, wash, and braid because of how busy my schedule is. So, this was helpful because I can at least keep it for another week if I absolutely needed to
And even so, I could go get my hair done professionally but I don’t have the money for that either
@@Maryyyyc 😂😂 not trying to be mean or rude girl you almost listed every excuse in the book as to why you turned your “protective” style into a “destructive” one. if you can make time to apply more product and double lock your braids then you also can make time to take it down and wash it 💯💯💯
@@mommysambitious2453 well that’s the thing for me💀I take at least 2 nights to do my hair and it shouldn’t take that long at all, but I’m that slow 🌚
@@Maryyyyc 😂 i understand . if i do small box braids then yes a day and a half is about right . which is why lowkey don’t even like to braid my hair any more but anywho hopefully you make some time for yourself out of your busy schedule 💜🙏🏾 best of wishes
@@mommysambitious2453 thank youu🫶🏿🫶🏿honestly I’m prob not even going to do small ones anymore😭too time consuming
Where can I get the tool you are using on your hair?
Late asf but it's called a latch hook! You can get it pretty much anywhere you buy hair, at a craft store near yarn or crochet/knitting stuff, Amazon, etc... If you're in the U.S., I know bigger Walmarts also sell latch hooks in the craft section 👍
I’d be bald. Bless those who it works for.
Did you use another braid with the pin
I used the same braid
Ok how was the take down process?
I tried this and my hair locked up 😖
How did u take t out 😢
You know what don’t make it look that easy because I’m about to do that
Can i get the track id please 😮
I have no clue the song hun
What is the song please?
I can’t find the song hun I’m sorry
This is not for everyone texture or porosity.
I agree. just showing an alternative
I'm just going to put a scarf on at work and in public. It's just not that serious
lost my hair doing this
how ?
@@LondonTayy it got all knotted up at the roots
*her
Fellow braided sisters and brothers, please do not do this if the parts are smaller than what is shown in this video. And do not wash the hair after you’ve done this method. Very respectfully, someone who f’ed around and found out.
Personally, I'd be taking them out by 2 months not 'refreshing' them.
Agreed . But some people hold on to their styles lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We need a more in depth video. This little short clip is confusing me like crazy.
Haibooo eeee
Why tf do mine look like that after 4 days …
Did you get your hair wet?
Ladies please don’t do this. Putting that type of strain on weighted braids is unnecessary. Don’t be cheap.
If you gave had you’re box braids for 2 months just take then out wash your hair and do them again I wouldn’t recommend what’s t this lady is doing
How about 2 weeks can l do t
Ladies please just Re-braid the perimeter please. We don’t need any more hair horror mishaps. Everyone doesn’t have this woman to take them out for them.
What is the witch hazel for?
You put some on a cotton ball and scrub and clean the buildup from the scalp with it
@@LondonTayy Girl you're so blessed & talented & thanks for this video. Please do a follow up & show us how to take it down.
