- Authorities are piecing together evidence to determine the cause of the deadly crash that killed three people, including teenagers, in Pasadena. NBC Los Angeles’ Tracey Leong reports.
Car's don't kill people, idiots in cars kill people. Mom, Dad, don't you dare blame the car manufacturer, might as well blame yourselves.
I can see a lawsuit coming. US is the land of zero accountability and 100% blame thanks to all the ambulance chasers and blind judges.

Cars that malfunction can kill people. The cybertruck has such a malfunction where the acceleration gets jammed.
An 18 year old who totaled 3 cars within the last 11 months was going 112 mph on a 40 mph zone struck a van killing a mom, 3 kids and critically injured 2 kids. The kids were 12 and under. This was only a few blocks from my house. These parents have to stop spoiling their kids.
Where was this?
Well, at least they didn't harm others in another car.

Cause of the high speed crash? I might be going out on a limb, but I’m gonna say “high speed”….
Crash is the outcome, the cause is stupidity.
There was a quadruple fatal accident up north last week or the week before. It also involved an EV. Apparently driven at high speed, pulled right, and into a tree. caught fire. It was a father, mother, and their two children. The driver was not the owner of the car but had borrowed it from a friend. The friend had reportedly complained to the manufacturer of that SUV, Vinfast, that the car had intermittently pulled to the right. So, that accident is being looked at from a manufacturer defect angle. I know that Teslas are fairly tried and true as far as accident causing defects, so my guess is the only defect here was driver defect. But, with these overly complicated vehicles, you never know.

THANK YOU for this comment. My godson was Michael, he saved the life of his friend who was in the car bc of his placement in the backseat. The driver is the idiot, definitely. I try not to be upset but i cant help it. He is the one at fault and he got away with murder. Today, we laid Michael to rest and the only thing that is helping our family is knowing Michael was a very loved person and he had purpose. We are now extra advocates for responsible driving. No matter the age. We are broken but will have to be the voice for Michael now. 🙏🏼
Young people shouldn't be able to have that so early in the game. Start out with a beater and work your way up. Learn to respect physics and responsibility. RIP, unfortunate for those that were injured at the hands of the driver.

This happens every school year! The second time this year. A brother and sister died in Orange County because they were driving too fast. They were high school aged kids.

Lord rest his soul, he had hit my brother and me back in February 2023 we told the police we saw a bottle of alcohol in his backseat and they refused to search his car or giving him a sobriety test. They said there was no evidence to. My condolences to the his family

The guy down the street for me bought his kid a brand new Corvette for his 16th birthday. He crashed at the third day. A week later he had another one.

You can clearly see in the video the brake lights come on, just before loosing it. Ooh yeah, the driver sure realized he was about to meet someone special.

Driver was drunk with a suspended license and going 100 mph in a 35 mph zone. Nobody to blame but this driver. Sorry but i know that route very well. It's not dangerous or deadly at all. AT ALL. This dude made it dangerous. During the day, that area has a lot of traffic, both vehicle and pedestrian. Thank god nobody was around when this dude decided to make himself a human rocket.

It’s so sad that these young people lost their lives. It’s also sad that this could have been avoided if they were doing the speed limit. Every story like this, it’s reported that they hope for this to be a reminder to follow the laws of the road and yet tragedies like this continue daily across the country. It’s dangerous to everyone on the road, as well. Please people, drive safely. If you’re late for work or church, whatever, it’s not worth your life to drive recklessly to get there on time. If you had too much to drink or are going drinking, plan accordingly and don’t drive afterwards. There is only one you in this world. Be safe and responsible.

Why do they make cars go 200mph? They should make a law that your car cannot go above 75 mph until you turn 21. At 16 they give you a brand new sports car and hope for the best! Even though your kids are rich you should start them out in station wagons! Until they learn to drive properly, everything takes practice!

Anything above 80+ MPH colliding into something is nearly impossible to survive due to the heavy impact. Tesla is one of the quickest sport sedans in the market. Elon should come up with ideas that can have the car measure speed limit so the algorithm can adjust to the right speed at any given time.
