I think he has his own personal convictions stemming from immense self-awareness and a commitment to authenticity that prevent him from saying the kinds of words that a lot of Christians expect, but the first 30 seconds of this are an absolute statement of faith. I have been waiting so long for this. I loved the Exodus discussions. When I listened to them I was a atheist whose atheism was failing him. These days I attend Divine Liturgy every week and, God willing, will be baptised soon.

Romans 10:9 Baptism is good, but remember that the act of baptism is out of obedience, not for salvation. I pray who have confessed and believe because some are convinced that baptism is all you need.

Friend, you will not find anything other than more problems if you look to these unbelieving men to explain the scriptures to you. These are blind men attempting to lead you. What you should do is get off the internet and become a member of a healthy, biblical church under pastors who care about your soul and faithfully preach the gospel and exposit the scriptures. @@chazcolston1849 Once I applied the same level of critical skepticism to the origins of Christianity (such as whether the Resurrection/Ascension happened, who wrote the Gospels, etc.) that I have towards other religions and their origins, I’m left with more questions than answers. The ambiguity is frustrating. If Christianity is true, the Resurrection is the most important event of human history. But it’s justification for a modern historian is questionable. It’s not that there’s an amazing case against it; it’s just that the case for it, historically, is weak. If we had the same evidence for a mundane event, most historians would be happy to say “It’s probably true.” But this is not mundane. It’s supposed to be the most significant event ever.

Jordan Peterson’s exploration into the old testament, as someone who by all appearances had his doubts during his lectures, was compelling to watch. Rediscovering the origin of these old writings and interpreting the what was implied given culture at the time adds immense value to my view of Judaeo Christianity. Rediscovering the meaning of things of the past without bias and an agenda is rare to find these days. It was beautiful in its own right because his search for truth was guided moral goodness and objectivity and the clash between the two.

I am really looking forward to this. Every time I read the Gospels, I find a new and deeper meaning. It is truly a living document for me. Jesus' words really are truth and life. Hearing the truth proclaimed fulfills the purpose of all creation. I'm beginning to understand why the scripture says all creation will sing the praise of His glory. That's what He created it for, to behold it and share in it with Him.
