- In the video you see Niels van Dooren setting diamonds each measuring 2.0 mm. The ring is 14kt. yellow gold and was hand made and later manually set underneath a microscope.

Hi, thank you for the lessons and great videos. Can you tell me, if the stone is 2mm, do you take a burrs ball 2mm or 1.9-1.8 ? Thank You
How do you know how many stone will fit in the circumference without having a gap or over lapping . The layout process is what I'm asking about.
Good video in close up and detailed Workman ship
Thanks Macherla for your comment ! means a lot to me!
@@heinikendude welcome Sir Namaste
good work
Thanks Amar
Gute Arbeit.
Das einzige was ich anders gemacht hätte. Ich hätte die Körner gespalten, so dass 4 Körner die Steine halten. Finde ich persönlich sicherer und schöner von der Optik.
Danke ! This way of securing stones creates less prongs and therefore less possible little hooks that can grab onto clothing or such ;-)
Hi would you be able to shoot a video of a claw or prong ring design? Would love to see how it's done.. your videos are very nice
access thanks for the request. Currently I’m only doin micro pace videos. I might expand that in the future.
Hi ser muje khuch idiya de shakta ho cam ke bare me
What brand burs and drills do you use? Busch and ? Thank you in advance. I've read through many many comments but haven't seen this question asked.
Jason Vinciguerra hi, Burs are indeed Busch but also Komet (dental)! Hope to have been of help to you! Kind regards
What microscope you use? What magnification lenses for good working?
Hi Emil, I use a Meiji Microscope I believe it magnifies 40X
Whats the point to make a grove in the graver? 5:20
Hi Andijvie, this allows me to see the tip even better at some movements. It's not necessary ;-)

Супер работа.
;-)
Хорошая работа))
Thanks you!
Тонкая работа!
Its "nice" ! But the last Stone is overlapping the other one - thats a no-go. These Brillants will break easily. ;)
Christiaaaaaan Indeed, overlapping diamonds snap easily. I can promise you that in this piece that was not the case ;-)
Hi, what is the tool you are using to hold and place the diamonds?
Sebastien Godin thats a ‘hollow’ nail, dipped in a bit of water every time . Adhesion :-)
Beautiful work! But,where I come from,we call this bead setting.
Yes, many names for the same technique ;-)
Why are the stones so close together? What, the place is not enough? Stones should be at a certain distance from each other, and not interfere with the other. Due to the fact that one stone climbs on the other and bulet chipped, the view will not be better.
Hi Gedas, I disagree. I believe diamonds are the most imporatnt piece of this jewelery ring. So they should be as close as possible so less material is visible. And believe me, diamonds don't move or climb on eachother if they are set well ;-)
I have my opinion because I have been a jeweler for 42 years
