Using the Quadratic Formula to Solve Quadratic Equations

In this video you will learn how to solve ANY quadratic equation, even the ones that cannot be factored, by using the Quadratic Formula. We will review how to write a quadratic equation in standard form so that we can identify what the values of the variables A, B, and C are. We'll then substitute those values into the formula, evaluate, and get our answer(s)!

Some people might think I'm crazy, but I prefer to Complete The Square over the Quadratic Formula. I think CTS looks cleaner and is easier to understand.

Not crazy, that's the beauty of multiple methods to solving any math problem - everyone can do the one that makes sense for them. 🙂. I do like CTS too! Did you know that the Quadratic Formula is derived by completing the square? Thanks for the watch - hit the thumbs up 👍

@@MathMadness Yeah, I did. I used to find CTS really complicated -- until I came across this approach of Equating The Coefficients: ruclips.net/video/6lUFxO-aAMU/видео.html - I think it makes more sense and think more teachers should teach it this way. Tell me what you think.
