I been looking forward to this boss since my family does like talking about the Ramayana so I know a good amount about Ravana as well. Ravana performed penance for roughly 10,000 years and won boons from Brahma, the creator deity in the Trimutri, and one of these boons included the one that made him invincible to all of Brahma's creations, except humans. In the Ramayana, Ravana was causing harm to the Earth and this is where Lord Vishnu's seventh avatar, Rama, comes into play since he is a human. Rama wouldn't have it easy since near the beginning of the Ramayana, he was exiled from his hometown of Ayodhya alongside Ravana kidnapping his wife Sita. The vulture Jatayu would try to prevent Sita getting kidnapped but would die in the process. After a long and hard struggle, Rama would go to war against Ravana at Lanka with Rama teaming up with the monkey army of Vanara which included Hanuman, with Ravana commanding the Rakshasas. In the end, Ravana would be defeated after getting shot by many arrows from Rama and with Sita safe as well, Rama would return to Ayodhya and us Hindus celebrate this event with the festival known as Diwali. As my mum would tell me, the main thing to remember about Ravana in this story is arrogance since him being invincible blinded himself to the consequences of his actions and then, underestimating Rama's determination would lead to him losing in his battle. Ravana's importance is that he is a reminder that unchecked arrogance can lead to a person's downfall. Beck having Ravana is fitting as our last opponent in this war against the other colonies and the party overcoming his Hunger Wave while others couldn't might suggest he underestimated the determination of our party as well.
20:53 You're right, it *IS* a Zip-up suit. lmao 23:40 He looks like he's trying to hold something in his hands, but can't. It'd be hilarious if that was edited to show him holding a hamburger.
26:25 Why, because you were added later in development, of course! 31:55 Now that's just rude, Heat; you know Serph can only communicate by staring blankly and assuming his meaning gets across.
6:13 BigKlingy up against the BigJiggly 12:12 The nerve of some enemies to put Cielo to sleep before curfew 15:45 Bro thinks he's Akechi 20:48 Fun fact, this phase can be done with a Solo Human Argilla 29:10 Suddenly, Kingdom Hearts 2
I have never realized how silly this fight is here, it’s just the way Ravana puts his arms on his hips for hunger beam and the way Sera just comes in sings a song and leaves makes me laugh for some reason
This boss either causes severe semantics issues or is trivial depending on the challenge run done. 2:31 Deity Sati? You mean like Zeus and Odin in SMT5? 6:13 Oh wow that's a big elephant. 6:38 It literally ran in, smacked us, refused to elaborate and left. Beautiful. 14:36 Not the theatre physics! 15:33 He made him forget Personality, the nerve on him! 17:47 She starts being vague and eventually does pinpoint his location. So instead of eating your press turns, you could buff while Sera slowly tells you where he is. 20:16 I mean, that was a very fast fight, of course he'd have a second phase. 21:51 ...is lyrics. 24:51 Repels when the opponent is not inmune to their own element are really funny. 27:48 Oookay then i'm sure this holds absolutely no truth and he's just trying to make us fight each other. 31:38 You did your best Heat. 32:35 Darn taunting chest, we'll get our revenge and collect you some day. 34:44 Now our Serph portable Life Terminal is truly infinite. Next time, RPG rules strike once more as we go in the complete opposite direction to what the story wants us to go.
Yeah Hunger Wave... does stuff. 2:31 Oh right, "Deity" is usually only for male gods in SMT. Females get "Megami" or "Lady". 6:38 And that's why Sarge is amazing. 17:47 Yeah I was told that. But I'm impatient. 32:35 In about 2 videos.
20:53 Yeah this looks almost like a derpy mascot. I will say the twist here is one of the first things I knew about the game but it never clicked with all the Hindu elements to me, somehow.
0:08 Cute but dangerous, terrifying combination. 1:04 Yeah... the one downside of the press turn system: enemies can exploit it just as much as you can. And I wouldn't have it any other way. 2:52 That's... romantic, I guess. 6:13 WOAH, he's big! 12:10 Seriously!? The nerve of those things! 16:18 Finally, let's kick this guy's ass! 16:24 ...Well, so long as we can see his ass (oh god, that sounded way better in my head!). 16:34 You know, Ravana holds a special place in my heart, since back when I used to play Smite, Ravana was one of my mains, and man, was he fun to play as! 29:30 That was... weird. 30:32 And now, it all makes sense! 32:08 Well, there's a final dungeon if I've ever seen one.
Time for Colonel Beck to be called into battle! 6:24 For a moment I thought Beck was being referred. Do we call these guys Vice Commanders? 6:47 Nevermind it's Sergeant 13:22 You mean to say Colonel Beck could just push us around and might have a lightsaber?(Yes obvious Star Wars Joke is Obvious) 15:15 I had a feeling it was invisibility when he punched Serph and then it was confirmed when he choked Argilla but for a moment with Cielo I thought he actually was using some force 15:50 The precursor to the start of P5's Traitor breakdown 18:43 So he could let the winds of war bring snow 19:19 Hubris at some of its finest 20:30 And he doesn't seem to have eyes or any markings indicating them. So goes my idea with Bat and Mick 25:37 It happened with Bat as well, though I headcanon they were going to eat him before they came up with the leave him to witness the explosion plan 26:30 Because you were added later on! 29:58 Cat! I haven't seen you in a while! 31:05 It doesn't matter, now what happens! We will never, give up the fight! 31:44 Ah Heat. Trying to act like your all tough when you really care about the group.
also i should of said this back with Lupa, but i forgot about it; usually most takes on Cerberus being Fire Aligned, but DMC3 i think is the only time i have seen Cerberus be portrayed with Ice

title should say varin/ravana/don't call him that he's a colonel, colonel beck. also the more turns you miss him, the more specific sera will narrow down his position for you.
I'm surprised the Colonel Beck thing isn't as much of a meme as FFXII's "I'm captain Basch!" but I guess this game wasn't mainstream enough. Also that makes sense. Some people compare this fight to Ongyo-Ki in Nocturne but I'm glad he's not THAT annoying. You can always tell where Ongyo is if it's a full moon, but every time you hit him you have to sit through him using all his turns to buff and split again. Not a hard fight if you know what to do, but it's VERY drawn-out.
I keep on taking slight psychic damage whenever you say 'makunda', like, I know the other debuff skills have the -unda suffix, but the only vowels in makanda are 'a's
lol, it's a skill that isn't in many games so I don't read it often, I just kinda assumed it had a "u" in it like the other ones. Thanks for informing me.
Time to finally face the Colonel. Props to the enemies from that first battle for being absolutely relentless, wow. 5:41 Slaps Belly, Commands you to DIE. 6:13 Behold, the almighty SERGEANT REPELEPHANT! Those who can’t handle his training will face the mighty belly slaps of death! 12:22 The room of the professional hater. It seems like Ravana’s first form is “LET’S GO GAMBLING!” the boss fight. 23:13 That is the pettiest regular attack animation I’ve seen an RPG boss have.
Yeah they went kinda nuts. Girimekhala is no joke. 5:41 You'll probably see a lot of that later. 6:13 YES. 12:22 ...Pretty much, yeah. 23:13 It's such a silly animation for such a major plot boss.
Some lore about Ravana, he is actually the reincarnations of the guards of Lord Vishnu's place Vaikunta called Jaya-Vijaya. One of the sages( i forgot their names) curses these Guards to reincarnate as bad people and get slain by one of the Avatars of Lord Vishnu or atleast something along those lines when they werent given audience wtih lord Vishnu.
Damn, we’re really getting into late g1 transformers with these boss forms, we’ve got both a Headmaster (Mick) and now a Pretender. Japan update: Just arrived in Kyoto
Damn Varin went all out with plot dumping. And poor Heat and Sera damn that must be heavy. Especially the final twist. That boss was something. Ability to inflict hunger was something
6:30- Looks like Demonee-Ho has some competition for having the drill sergeant insults. lmao 14:39- Going to be honest, kind of laughed at that a bit with how much he ragged doll there. That said, poor Cielo. 15:58- Oh no! Did, did he just trigger the berserk mode on Heat?! That's awful. Sera sing now please. (16:03- Thanks Sera.) 16:58- Dang it. They were smart about that. 18:21- MAN this is going to be an annoying boss fight... 21:35- Oh he's that boss with this skill! I remember learning about this skill from a video where someone hacked it onto themselves so they could use it on Demi. The results were amusing. 22:20- That would explain a lot. 22:31- That was the least energetic stab that I've seen in a game. lmao 28:05- Huh. That's interesting. But yeah, I can see why since it looks major revelations are about to be unlocked from it... 28:30- Klingy did not comprehend Gale's location. 31:41- Okay, Heat giving a friendship speech of sorts to only then cut back on it mid way to act like his usual jerk self is pretty good. lmao 32:57- Short indeed. We're only on Part 22 and Endgame is in sight already. That's quite short. In other news, made some more progress into Vengeance. After getting some stuff sorted, I've begun a new arc and already made some good progress, such as getting everyone's favorite healer from V, Idun, once I got high enough level to fuse her. And that's all before I really made major headway into the area I'm in. Going to be fun seeing what else I'll get access to soon.
I also find it funny that Sarge just say some words and then just leaves. Beck does feel like a big obstacle to overcome in this fight with his invisibility in phase one and then the Hunger Wave in phase two but that is fitting for how big of an obstacle Ravana was for Rama to overcome. It does look very lazy but I wonder if that has something to do with Ravana being arrogant. It will also be an important revelation to remember as well. He really has become the tsundere of the group now. It probably feels longer to play with those random encounters. Good to hear more of your progress and I imagine that Idun is still going to be very solid here like she was before. As for myself, just Gran Turismo 4 today but I beat the Roadster 4 hour endurance which took place at Tsukaba Circuit which I forgot to mention before. I got back behind the wheel around the 3 hour mark and then finished the race with around 210 laps completed and being 11 laps ahead of 2nd. The prize car is also pretty solid as it is a Mazda RX7 LM Race Car. I also made my preparations for the next endurance race with my weapon of choice being the Suzuki GSX-R/4 as its lightweight and very high mechanical grip should make it a good choice for the next endurance. That endurance will be another 4 hour affair as it is the Nürburgring 4 hour endurance and I will be working together with my B-Spec driver once again. I should also mention something that you can do with B-Spec that I will only do with grinding. In the race monitor screen, you can adjust the game speed to 3x speed which means the B-Spec can complete any event in only a third of the time it normally takes so for example, you can turn a 3 hour endurance race into one that only takes an hour for you to beat. I don't want to abuse that since I do have the ability to take on the full length of these endurance races but for someone less insane as me, it is nice to know. I haven't talked about my manga adventures in a bit so I should mention that I did finish reading the last series I read which was Our Dreams at Dusk which was another thought provoking read revolving around the main character having feelings for another man. My next series will be Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon since I like the sound of the premise as well.
@@BerserkerRohan He was the true pioneer of the "Refuses to Elaborate and Leaves" meme. lol Yeah, Beck did proved to be an annoying foe to face, which sounds right like you said for the source material. Could be. Given how Ravana could only die by a human's hand, it would make sense if both him and Beck got a bit complacent with the threat of death lowered via their tricks. That he has. True. Klingy has given us an edited experience and only shows off more noteworthy random encounters, so it probably feels more substantial when the random encounters aren't able to be edited out as you play. Many thanks. Yeah she seems just as good as before. And great work on your end taking down the Roadster Endurance Event. Or massacring it I should say since having the closest guy be 11 laps behind you is absurd, so did incredibly well there. Good to hear the prep work for the next event is also set up and best of luck there. That's VERY nice for them to have that for the B-Spec. I get why you don't want to abuse it given you not only really enjoy the racing, but I can see it feeling a bit too cheap just speeding through event like that through the B-Spec. Still though, given the massive time investment of these races, it's really nice having an option to help ease through some of these events, either for completing the game at a decent pace or so you can get to the good stuff quicker. Also good to hear that another series has been finished up for your reading and hope the next one proves an interesting read as well (it at least get some points off the bat for the name alone).
@@jaredfayette2567 That does seem like the case. I say Ravana's portrayal in this game is alright since his design is a little lacklustre but I say he does fit well with Beck. That and you can grind if you so wish as well. I guess it proved the tune for my MX5 worked very well. It is a good feature even if I am not going to use it that much. It has been proving a very interesting read so far and probably worth talking about at some point too.
@@BigKlingy He's such a fun demon. Probably my favorite Jack too outside of Jack Frost. Either him or Frost Ace anyway. It was quite amazing since every time he took damage from it, it was just thousands upon thousands of HP. Too bad you can't actually use it legitimately, but seeing it hacked on for a gag at least once it great.
I never understood why Song of Grace only works on one ally. Like are the other Hunger-inflicted allies just conveniently deaf whenever Sera's not singing directly to them?
Huh... Ravana is looking less bug like than when I last saw him... and he lost his four swords. :P For the curious, I'm referring to the Ravana featured in FFXIV Heavensward where he was a god of combat worshipped by a sentient species of bugs.
I don’t believe Sarge does give more AP or EXP. Despite being statistically a new enemy. Though considering the devs probably didn’t plan on the player trying to slay him like this I don’t blame them for not making any changes. He is meant to be a punishment of sorts. Though all I hear when hearing Sarge is RVB specifically. ‘Shotgun! Shotgun damnit!’ And a certain speech in the Freelancer saga. Ugh Ravana. Hate these fights. Guess work and RNG fest. I have had it where Gale got stuck with hunger for pretty much a whole attempt because Sera would heal him last and then Varin would just put hunger back on. It got to the point Gale did eat his health away and I almost game overed. Conceptionally cool gimmicks execution wise they are not great
Yeah it's very rare you'll actually kill him so that's probably for the best. And yep, Ravana is annoying because he's mostly RNG, in both phases. And there's one more enemy with Hunger Wave and guess who it is...
I really hated the Karma Temple as a dungeon exactly because of its length. Overall I found the other dungeons really nicely paced and not overstaying their welcome and then suddenly a wild Karma temple appears. I know it is supposed to be the final dungeon and all but when it comes to dungeons in the same position it just always ticked me off haha! 😂 Can't wait to see if you can make it feel more manageable! But as for this episode THE SARGE IS HERE! I absolutely adore that little easter egg. It never made absolutely no sense to me, but man I love it whenever he shows up, one of my favourite little comedic reliefs in any SMT game out there. And man, RNGvana is always a pain, you got really lucky compared to how that fight tends to go for me. Haha! You were just able to nuke him out of orbit because Serph did not get hungered once.
I mean, given the Brute's overall military themeing, it's not that surprising a Drill Sargent shows up. Though ass why it's just BEEG Repelephant, IDK.
I kinda agree. On my first playthrough I actually quit for months at the Karma Temple and only got back to it when I found a Japanese website with maps. It's very uncharacteristically long and brutal for this game. And I agree, Sarge is such a weird detail but I wish more RPGs had silly encounters like this. I can't believe it never hit Serph once. Unfortunately, we're not totally done with Hunger Wave...
@@BigKlingy While it's not an RPG, Darksiders has a reoccurring boss known as Wicked K. He's just a regular enemy with a top hat and Cane with a posh British voice. Just really odd when you're dealing with angels and demons in the post apocalypse
2:47 Considering her origin story I would half expect her to use Ice amd be weak to Fire, it’s not like SMT hasn’t done that kind of joke before, Joan or Arc in any game she’s in as well as Yusuke in Persona 5 due to his Persona Goemon, The former was burned at the stake, the other executed by boiling water. 6:44 Looking it up, assuming United States Army ranks then the Giant Girimehkala was one of the Sergeant ranks, which would make him actyally a fair bit below Varin in rank, being an enlisted soldier rather than holding an Officer rank, While a Colonel is the fifth highest rank and the last one below the General ranks, 9:19 But assuming that you’re either going after post game bosses or grinding having one slot that does what 3-5 slots are doing normally would be ideal. And depending on what the boss use you might only need 1-2 20:58 Never did I expect Dead End from Beast Wars Neo to be referenced in a Bigklingy video. And funnily while Dead End is an obvious case since he turns into a shelled creature, but the Toyline he comes from was infamous for its large amount of Shellformers, so you could for example take off most of Big Convoy’s Beast Mode kibble off of him and have most of his Mammoth.mode Sp now that we have some of the context for what the Junkyard is, What I will say next has minor spoilers so don’t read further if you don’t want to be spoiled. Something I find very annoying is how they named their characters, while also having an out that could avoid this issue that can use. The rather on the nose named these characters have, those are the real names of these characters before dying, The issue is that the names used for the most part aren’t names in the real world, Serph has always been Serf and Heat always been named Heat, And since Atlus make heavy use of Urban Fantasy, either being set in the real world, a post apocalypse version of it or another world linked to it, Sometimes combining them, Hence giving the characters names that are given to regular people is something you would expect and helps sell the idea of being real world adjacent , Other games like Fire Emblem and the Trails games tend to have names that you wouldn’t expect someone in the real world to have, but they are a medieval fantasy and a world established to be a lot more distinct than our world so you wouldn’t expect naming conventions And then you have Varin Omega, who calls himself by a different more realistic sounding name, hence establishing that the names used in the Junkyard aren’t what their names in life where, that would be an opportunity to give the characters their very on the nose names and justify them as aliases. Like online handles, as my name isn’t a reference to a creature from a video game franchise that debuted in a game released over a decade after I was born, it’s a pseudonym I choose to go by. So Serph and Heat being handles or nicknames that Rio and Aiden used
Null Ailment and/or Null Attack will be very useful for if you choose to fight Huang Long. One of his attacks, Celestial Ray, is Megidolaon and Vanity together in one move.
At the very least, because Celestial Ray does almighty damage, you won't lose turns unless you use it against Huang Long when he is in one of his phases (he's a Barrier Change Boss) and that specific phase is the only enemy in this game that can null Almighty.

20:53
You're right, it *IS* a Zip-up suit. lmao
23:40
He looks like he's trying to hold something in his hands, but can't. It'd be hilarious if that was edited to show him holding a hamburger.
26:25 Why, because you were added later in development, of course!
31:55 Now that's just rude, Heat; you know Serph can only communicate by staring blankly and assuming his meaning gets across.
26:25 lol, true.
6:13
BigKlingy up against the BigJiggly
12:12
The nerve of some enemies to put Cielo to sleep before curfew
15:45
Bro thinks he's Akechi
20:48
Fun fact, this phase can be done with a Solo Human Argilla
29:10
Suddenly, Kingdom Hearts 2
12:12 Curfew = me remembering Null Nerve.
20:48 lol.
I have never realized how silly this fight is here, it’s just the way Ravana puts his arms on his hips for hunger beam and the way Sera just comes in sings a song and leaves makes me laugh for some reason
Not to mention how Ravana looks. It's an oddly silly fight for such a climax.
It's a very strange design for a supposedly climactic antagonist.
1:04 I agree.
6:13 BEEG ELEPHANT.
16:34 I've noticed Ravana gets referenced in a lot of things.
Time for Colonel Beck to be called into battle!
6:24
For a moment I thought Beck was being referred.
Do we call these guys Vice Commanders?
6:47
Nevermind it's Sergeant
13:22
You mean to say Colonel Beck could just push us around and might have a lightsaber?(Yes obvious Star Wars Joke is Obvious)
15:15
I had a feeling it was invisibility when he punched Serph and then it was confirmed when he choked Argilla but for a moment with Cielo I thought he actually was using some force
15:50
The precursor to the start of P5's Traitor breakdown
18:43
So he could let the winds of war bring snow
19:19
Hubris at some of its finest
20:30
And he doesn't seem to have eyes or any markings indicating them. So goes my idea with Bat and Mick
25:37
It happened with Bat as well, though I headcanon they were going to eat him before they came up with the leave him to witness the explosion plan
26:30
Because you were added later on!
29:58
Cat! I haven't seen you in a while!
31:05
It doesn't matter, now what happens! We will never, give up the fight!
31:44
Ah Heat. Trying to act like your all tough when you really care about the group.
6:24 I kinda did too.
18:43 lol.
29:58 Meow.
31:05 I thought that too.
31:44 Congratulations, your jerk has evolved into a tsundere!
was not expecting BIG GIRIMEHKALA
EVEN BIGGER REPELEPHANT. MORE BELLY. MORE REPEL.
also i should of said this back with Lupa, but i forgot about it; usually most takes on Cerberus being Fire Aligned, but DMC3 i think is the only time i have seen Cerberus be portrayed with Ice
That's cool. I'd like to see more variety with Cerberus.
@@BigKlingy and the weapon for beating Cerberus is a Three Ended Ice nunchucks which really is good i mean most of the Melee Weapons in DMC3 are good, Nevan is the weird one of them
I know some games like having each head be a specific element. Like one is Fire, another is Ice and the final one is Thunder
@@DiegoG2004DMC5 does it with King Cerberus.
title should say varin/ravana/don't call him that he's a colonel, colonel beck. also the more turns you miss him, the more specific sera will narrow down his position for you.
Lol actually that's kind of true.
Damn Varin went all out with plot dumping. And poor Heat and Sera damn that must be heavy. Especially the final twist.
That boss was something. Ability to inflict hunger was something
At least, unlike that FE Echoes boss, he said everything important he needed to before dying.
@@BigKlingy you know i tried to find the wiki on Varin, there doesn't appear to be one.
i got suprised that ravana was in DDS as i recognized his name from the story of how Diwali was created
They draw on a LOT of Hindu mythology in these games.
I wish we could adopt Nidhogg
Edit: Light shines on heaven!
31:42 This game does a great job at making me love and hate Heat on various levels.
6:30- Looks like Demonee-Ho has some competition for having the drill sergeant insults. lmao
14:39- Going to be honest, kind of laughed at that a bit with how much he ragged doll there. That said, poor Cielo.
15:58- Oh no! Did, did he just trigger the berserk mode on Heat?! That's awful. Sera sing now please. (16:03- Thanks Sera.)
16:58- Dang it.
22:31- That was the least energetic stab that I've seen in a game. lmao
28:05- Huh. That's interesting. But yeah, I can see why since it looks major revelations are about to be unlocked from it...
28:30- Klingy did not comprehend Gale's location.
31:41- Okay, Heat giving a friendship speech of sorts to only then cut back on it mid way to act like his usual jerk self is pretty good. lmao
32:57- Short indeed.
@@BerserkerRohan He was the true pioneer of the "Refuses to Elaborate and Leaves" meme. lol
Yeah, Beck did proved to be an annoying foe to face, which sounds right like you said for the source material.
6:30 Lol, I always think of him here too.
21:35 Wow that'd be amazing.
Yeah it's weird, I guess it's done to make Hunger Wave more of a threat.
Huh... Ravana is looking less bug like than when I last saw him... and he lost his four swords. :P
For the curious, I'm referring to the Ravana featured in FFXIV Heavensward where he was a god of combat worshipped by a sentient species of bugs.
I just found out Ravana in SMT1 uses the design that'd later go to Mahakala, which also has 4 swords.
20:46 When I saw the thumbnail for this boss, I thought it was a monster version of Monokuma from Danganronpa.
He already has enough monster forms.
Can't wait to see if you can make it feel more manageable!
6:44 Looking it up, assuming United States Army ranks then the Giant Girimehkala was one of the Sergeant ranks, which would make him actyally a fair bit below Varin in rank, being an enlisted soldier rather than holding an Officer rank, While a Colonel is the fifth highest rank and the last one below the General ranks,
9:19 But assuming that you’re either going after post game bosses or grinding having one slot that does what 3-5 slots are doing normally would be ideal. And depending on what the boss use you might only need 1-2
20:58 Never did I expect Dead End from Beast Wars Neo to be referenced in a Bigklingy video.
And funnily while Dead End is an obvious case since he turns into a shelled creature, but the Toyline he comes from was infamous for its large amount of Shellformers, so you could for example take off most of Big Convoy’s Beast Mode kibble off of him and have most of his Mammoth.mode
Sp now that we have some of the context for what the Junkyard is, What I will say next has minor spoilers so don’t read further if you don’t want to be spoiled.
Something I find very annoying is how they named their characters, while also having an out that could avoid this issue that can use.
The rather on the nose named these characters have, those are the real names of these characters before dying,
The issue is that the names used for the most part aren’t names in the real world, Serph has always been Serf and Heat always been named Heat, And since Atlus make heavy use of Urban Fantasy, either being set in the real world, a post apocalypse version of it or another world linked to it, Sometimes combining them,
Hence giving the characters names that are given to regular people is something you would expect and helps sell the idea of being real world adjacent ,
Other games like Fire Emblem and the Trails games tend to have names that you wouldn’t expect someone in the real world to have, but they are a medieval fantasy and a world established to be a lot more distinct than our world so you wouldn’t expect naming conventions
And then you have Varin Omega, who calls himself by a different more realistic sounding name, hence establishing that the names used in the Junkyard aren’t what their names in life where, that would be an opportunity to give the characters their very on the nose names and justify them as aliases.
Like online handles, as my name isn’t a reference to a creature from a video game franchise that debuted in a game released over a decade after I was born, it’s a pseudonym I choose to go by. So Serph and Heat being handles or nicknames that Rio and Aiden used
I only very recently discovered what the term "kibble" means in Transformers fandom slang. I was never into it growing up.
Null Ailment and/or Null Attack will be very useful for if you choose to fight Huang Long. One of his attacks, Celestial Ray, is Megidolaon and Vanity together in one move.
And yet you tend to forget the Vanity part because you often use it on bosses that're immune to ailments.
At the very least, because Celestial Ray does almighty damage, you won't lose turns unless you use it against Huang Long when he is in one of his phases (he's a Barrier Change Boss) and that specific phase is the only enemy in this game that can null Almighty.
Cute but deadly Nidhogg dealt with, going to where Varin long ahead there..
Blue Node.. Huh..
Sati? Oh. That's nice for the end at least. (Rough background but endured.)
All around done here, now to this of White Node.. Yeah.. Could be elsewhere what the Negative Energy was hiding..
Girim? ??.. Eh?! Whoa! Whoa! Chill there! 😅 That was... sudden.. Cool unique detail the best by far in the game.
Comma Terminal.. Mantras & stuffs. OK.. Good.
Life Terminal. Nice.
The boss? Oh Varin.. Hmm.. Preparation firsthand.
.. Seems nothing- ??.. !!... Yeah... Varin no doubt.. Eesh. No wonder of having a Hatred.. & sick of it all around.. (Not wrong of what he's interpreting earlier but still, for him, he's.. has to be put down..) What to throw a tantrum..
In this fight, he can't be underestimated.. He's very hellbent serious to put lot of them down entirely.. Something more than 1 to had a trick up his sleeve..
Hunger- Oh... Hmm.. Random.. This boss is much deadly compare to unique bosses.. (Sera? Oh. Thnx.. Needed that.)
& he's down.. Indeed a luck based boss fight..
Hmm..... Girl? Cast?..... !!... Mmph!... So that's the truth.. ??.. !!... Huh... 🤨 Quite a troubling man but at least he gives a truth is something in Awe... (Wonder who or what did make it possible?)... & after the scene. Edit. Oof. Gale. Yikes.
Door? ..... ??... Hm?.. Sera?.. The note?.. Oh guys. ?? That thing from earlier..
Hmm.... 🤔 .... 😨 .... Auugh... 😓
The choice.. Oh? Hmm.. I see.. 1st option best.
Heat?.. Yeah... Haha.. Like the side. Ah Ciello.
?- !!... Whaa.. Whoa....
Aww.. Chest.. Oh well. Probably for the later time..
Final Dungeon.. Could be a lot difficult than the last..
Sera.. Hmm... I see.. (Heat's Tsundere? Lol.)
Now all the tribes now to the Victor but some still on defiant to go other plan elsewhere..
Different optional area..
Terminals... ?? Oh.. Ooh. New items.
Next bonus.. Not there yet.. Aww.
Shots but hold on for things.. & buy some for needs of recovering ailments..
To the areas... till then..
Neat
In nocturne Sati evolves into Parvati, she was my designated healer until I made a daisoujou
I love a lot of the mythology notes in Nocturne's evolutions. (Although Onkot > Hanuman > Wu Kong is just "they're all monkeys I guess")
I think he has one the coolest demons tbh
It's a decent fight, I just think the 2nd phase transformation is really weird, like he just puts on a zip-up coat.
How fitting that Ravana makes everyone Ravanous amirite!? ahem
I can't remember if you said something about this already or not but, will you be playing dds 1 and 2 back to back?
