This game was my first time ever using real VR tech. I literally still have to keep a towel close to wipe sweat off my forehead while climbing. Even though I KNOW it’s a game and am in my own house, my brain still reacts to the point my knees will shake as I’m afraid of heights! It’s so immersive it’s unreal. Can’t wait to play the photo realistic games like GT7……and for those wondering Sony made it super easy to clean the headset after sweating. Super head to pull the part off and simply wash in the sink. If you do it after a night of gaming or fitness stuff it’ll be dry and ready to go the next day.
This games looks sick. I recently tried Forbidden West and I am a huge fan of the games. Thanks Nathie for letting us experience it with your commentary.
Coming from someone who owns the headset let me tell you, the image is good but not this clear at all. Alot of youtube influencers and journalists are over hyping and flat out lying.
For me it looks just as clear as what is shown on RUclips. I think either you don’t have your headset adjusted properly or you have a defective unit. Don’t just assume the whole world is lying to you. I’ve been VR’ing since 2016 and PSVR 2 is my 4th VR headset. I remember the days when VR RUclips videos looked much better than what you see in the headset (PSVR 1, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift) but nowadays I don’t see a difference. In fact, I would argue it’s the other way around. Those flat 2-D representations of VR games don’t look near as good as actual 3-D VR.

I’m almost done with the game and it’s fantastic. It’s probably the best graphics and the prettiest Vr game I’ve ever played and I have played a lot of Vr games. People are complaining about how much climbing there is but I liked it. I loved the “The Climb” and “The Climb 2” VR games but they were more challenging. If you expecting game play just like 2-d Horizon Zero Dawn you will be disappointed. Although I did play Horizon Zero Dawn on PC with Luke Ross’s VR mod and had a great time. Call of the Mountain will be on my top VR games list.

Thank you for the video. I needed to know if I want to play this on my PSVR2. For me the mechanical enemies throw me off. If they were "real" I'd be more interested. Looks cool, though and when the game is cheaper I will probably buy it and play. :)

Hi I’ve done some checking and I can confirm that on settings control, change it to Veteran and this should turn the black circles off. Not perfect but should improve your experience. I don’t get it on other games. Also if you get blurryness occasionally that means your headset has moved down when you look up.

Amazing looking game. Looks like a blast to play. I got rid of my ps4 with 1st PSVR because of one thing…attached cable from headset to PlayStation .
