I have an FP700, went through 2 engines because of failed cats. Once at 5,304 and again at 12,047 miles. I have a dragy pull where i blew through the 105mph limiter up to 125mph. I notice that the limiter kicks in right at 100mph

The FORD Perf Whipple with the base tune that comes with it leaves the 103mph limiter in play. That's how Ford will honor the warranty. You pay Whipple for the updated tune to Stage 2 and the limiter is bumped to 135mph, BUT you void your power train warranty. It clearly states the stock speed limiter is in play on the Ford Perf page for the kit, but people don't see it. Get the stage 2 tune and a set of aftermarket cats like the SPD's and then she will rip. My AFR's are perfect with the SPD's and Whipple Stage 2 tune and MBRP catback.

Either purchase stage 1 or 2 directly from Whipple. Imo, the FP kit is not as good and has factory 105 speed limiter. Whipple tunes are set at 135 mph. Also, it says in Whipple install directions to dyno in 5th gear due to wheel/driveshaft/tire speed concerns.
