@@toomanyaccounts And given how the Enclave base was covered in snow, I'm guessing the one we saw the Scientist flee from could be stationed in either Washington or Colorado.
I like that they weren’t afraid to have a straight up bad person as one of the protagonists of this show. The Ghoul is a legitimate bad karma character.
He actually did show mercy - compared to how he was in Filly. He gave the kid a choice, the kid went to draw his gun. It isn’t nice, but he gave him one chance to live. He probably would have just killed them after anyways if he has never met Lucy which was the catalyst for him to start to be more “human”
He gave him no chance, after telling the kid that he will be safe if he speaks, he told him that it was too dangerous to let him live. That's why the kid tried to fight, having no chance to win.
He saw it in the boy's eye, if the boy had begged for his life instead I think the ghoul would have let him live, but he knew the boy had the same fiery streak as his dead brother
he gave the boy a chance for redemption which may not be the best idea but he is crossing out loose ends cause he knows ppl always come back for revenge. if the boy was smart he would have not tried anything at least not yet
It's hard to say if The Ghoul shot the kid because that little punk was about to shot him, or if the kid knew he was gonna get shot anyway and took his chance at neutralizing the threat. That second scenario seems very plausible when you consider how the Ghoul was insinuating that leaving the kid alive would be a mistake. It would be dumb to shoot the ghoul though since he can regenerate, at least from one or two shorts. Either way, I guess we'll never know.
Gonna have to do some serious writing if they're thinking about giving the Ghoul a redemption ark in season two. I'm not saying I expect that to be the case. I just don't think I could ever forgive him after this scene. Dude has the child-killer perk!!
I’m not wholly disagreeing with you but let’s be real: most people and fans don’t think he needs a redemption arc and works best without one. His redemption will be not dragging Lucy around in ropes, denying her water, forcing her to cut up ghoul meat for food, and eventually selling her for parts.
@@stake-e1315I know it would be type casting at this point but if a Red Dead Redemption series was in the works, I wonder what character would suit Walton Goggins... Even if he doesn't play a main character like Marston I would be happy to see him there
@@eduardoarmenta9232 yknow bro thats a pretty good qeustion but i dont really see walton playing as someone from the van der linde gang id just seems more logical for me if he played someone outside of that group a antagonist or villain for example
My take is the Ghoul is intent on finding out what happened to his family, and on his way to accomplish that goal there are no red lines. As for Lucy, one could argue he was attempting to save her from a lingering death, and that everything he did to her wasn't to hurt her, but make her stronger.
I’m still pretty pissed he goaded that kid out to try and shoot him, especially with the gun that far out of his reach. Even the local area is big enough they’d never run into each other ever again.
The kid was dumb. He already has the drop on you and your father, he's got you beat right now, the best way to get your revenge is to play nice and not respond to anything he tries to goad you into.
I don’t think the ghoul would have done something like this had he not come to some sort of near death experience with something similar in the past. Remember he’s been “walking” the wasteland for 200 years and has experienced a lot of situations. Maybe many years before this he spared a kid and that kid grew up and hunted him to far corners and almost took his life? Who knows
He could tell the kid was going to try to kill him, he just wanted to get it out of the way and preferably in a way that would make the father refrain from revenge
I would really love to not see anymore Fallout clips here because how can this show be good but when Disney does it with Star wars it's a completely different result and that result should apply to this show
