I’ve played this game for about 10 hours so far, all over this past weekend and I can say, without hesitation, that this is easily my favorite survival game I’ve played so far. It’s got all the best parts of my previous favorite, Valheim, but with almost all the QOL changes I wanted to see in that game. And the combat is so smooth and fun, I’ve never played a survival game with combat this good
I really hope people give this game a chance, it’s the closest thing I’ve played to Valhiem. It’s unfortunate that this was released at the same time as Palworld. Hopefully people dont skip over this one. It’s a lot of fun!
Valheim, valheim why is everyone so stuck on valheim? Was this the first crafting open world game for a lot of people? Never got the hype, it felt like a mobile version of Ark minus dinos. It's an ok game, but what's up with the constant comparison to the damn game? Probably the same people who only played Skyrim and think it's the gold standard of an open world action adventure.
@@stonaraptor8196 This game definitely takes a fair bit of inspiration from Valheim. Denying that is just dumb. Imo its basically just valheim but medieval fantasy instead of viking themed.
I really liked Valheim. It just got old quick and seemed like it was too cartoonish to me. Enshrouded doesnt look that way to me. I will find out tonight after work.
I'm 10+ hours in to this game, playing with a pal, but this is the first game of this type that I have played and I have become very frustrated, because it can be overwhelming and there's a lot of things that the game does not explain to you. Survival-type games involve so much. I'm used to simple shooters, etc. Thank you for making this video as it is helpful with great information. I have found that I prefer a slower-paced game play style, just harvesting, cutting trees, mining, etc. I die in combat easily, so I need to get better skills for that. Thanks again!
You actually don't need the grappling hook to get out of the starting area. Just get an axe and beat the hell out of the wall and it breaks away allowing you easy entry. :)

If the iron gate guys would have stuck to their release update schedule. Then I wouldn't have had a problem. But I don't think they've even done a quarter of the stuff on that list yet. Problem is, is that progression is tied to the server, meaning once a person finishes a quest, nobody else can do it/experience it, we need player based quest progression
the fact they went for this system in the first place is extremely questionable. Also, can only have the blacksmith for example in 1 base. Meaning, basically all people need to build on 1 base on a server. This was intent, not an oversight.@@ebonhawken574
To be fair, if you choose to play with friends you can communicate. Play at the same time together. This isnt a problem, while my friends are off ill work on base, get minerals and so on and when theyre on we progress. Its hardly a problem😂
Damn I wish I knew the flame altar thing sooner. I couldn’t get past the red shroud area trying to go north so I climbed a mountain and went around it it took all day
A warning. I have encountered a glitched quest. A Crucial Investigation - The person you need to take out won't spawn. I do hope this gets fixed soon, it's kind of annoying. Other than that, this game is frickin amazing!

Bro I was addicted to palworld at release.. I can say this game is 10x better in the survival sense. I love it. Yet this will only hit 100k players vs palworlds over 1mil. Its insane. lol
@@fernandonavia8804 It's the Pokemon game fans wanted and needed but Pokemon (Nintendo) is too greedy limiting their game to a few consoles. If Pokemon was available on PC and other consoles with better systems implemented in the game, it would've remained on top and probably stopped games like Temtem and Palworld from coming to light but again they're too greedy. Even Digimon is almost doing better than them
We unfortunately just didn't enjoy it. Had fun with the Pals, but the other aspects such as the actual survival/building systems and content to do in the world fell way below our standards in regards to other survival games unfortunately. Just our opinion.
I kinda broke the initial purpose of using and getting the grappling hook 😂 because I explosive powder bombed the wall opening it up for me 😂 I didn’t get it until MUCH later 😅😅

the multiplayer sucks in this game. I put up a dedicated server and started playing a few hours before my buddies. When they came into the dedicated server I had already completed most of the starter quest and got the blacksmith and beat the first boss guy. So it was like I took that part of the game away from them. They all went and started there own hosted games to do all these quest I had done already on the dedicated server. Am I missing something? Why wouldnt everyone be able to complete their own quest. Its a dedicated server thru steam cmd on a completely different machine.
the blacksmith's last mission has me baffled. it says you need to build him a workshop using the construction hammer ? how exactly ? it only creates building blocks
You said to place custom compass pins on areas of interest. I would love to do that but I have not found the option to do so. Maybe I overlooked something ?
This game is off to a great start. People that are pointing out things that need to be fixed or changed.. patience!! This game is in early access. This game has a LONG WAY TO GO. Excited for the future though!
Is there some sort of chart comparing the weapon range of the magic weapons and bows? Not just medium-long range but actually distance that each weapon is effective.
There are LOADS of points of interest which are fun to explore, but there’s not a lot of variety in what you find. I think that’ll get fleshed out more with future patches
We hit the progression wall over the weekend. My wife is ready to quit because it's become so boring. All of our quests are located in area where the mobs wipe us out in seconds. We need new weapons and armor and we can't get anything. Nothing new to craft, missing ingredients we've never seen... No way of knowing how to unlock anything. Weird thing is, we've played games like this for years and generally have no problems. For some reason, this one isn't clicking.
I just hit that wall, right after getting the farmer and carpenter. Their quests are all up north where everything is 6+ levels above me. I think it's just an untuned game since it's early access. I'm currently grinding, resetting, repeat to try leveling up but it's taking forever
I have 40 hrs solo and I can't imagine playing with 16 people unless it adds a drastic amount of enemies. If nothing changed, you would simply steamroll everything.
There are a few upgrades that need them. I think they're going to be more relevant with more content. We are sitting on a small mound of them for no reason atm.
i cant even play the game.. RTX 3080TI 12GB card with a I9 9900k. everything max, above 70 fps but the game is choppy and sluggy as hell feels like it runs at 33-40 fps.
I noticed today that a friend didn't get a skill point after I killed a shroud root. Seems odd that someone on our server could possibly miss out on something so important. Maybe he missed the message just curious if anyone else noticed this and how you might adjust for this?
More like the ultimate early access guide. It will expire soon as the dev changes the majority of some parts of it. I'd say it's too soon to call it the ultimate guide. Best to wait for it after its official release.

Maybe someone can advise me here but what happens if im on a server with one other friend and he has more time to play than me and he gets recipes from bosses or whatnot. Does bosses respawn so I can get the same as him?
My buddies and I ran into this problem last night. We noticed after resetting the server though, all the chests loot were reset as well. Pretty sure this applies to quest items as well. My one buddy did a quest to get a shield, and after resetting server I was then able to do the quest as well to get the shield
Not a fan of the combat (especially the magic) and the workbench magic repair everything bugs me. That said I enjoyed the 2 hours I've put into it so far but I don't see it being something I keep coming back to.

Take it slow the game barely came out the level cap is 25 in EA and the map is 24km and at full it will be 64

Your base will disappear after 2 hours when you remove the flame altar. Placed items like chests, doors and windows will stay.

U can build a wall and roof for this task u just need to press Alt while using the hammer scroll down/up and choose.

Is the world worth exploring i want to go all over the place looking for stuff...is it worth it, or is it an vast empty experience.

I use rivatuner to limit the frame rates. 3080ti here as well.
It sucks trying to make a rogue. You need like 4 or 5 different skill trees, and theres no dual wielding.

You level up weapons, they have rarity. A legendary weapon can be upgrade more times than a rare one

The friends have to contribute to the damage. As long as they hit the thing (root, enemy, etc) they’ll get credit
You can get out of the starting zone without the grappling hook by breaking down the wooden door for some reason 😂
