A man, his dog ,good food, beautiful wilderness in a badassTacoma. Life don't get any better than that! Thanks for sharing brother
Sincerely appreciate the support, thank you!
Great video!! NOW that’s not a overlanding trip! This one location you can disclose LOL!!
Nevermind I think I found it! Keep up the great trips!!!
Check out Queets Campground 👍
That's my favorite spot in the area. Each time I was out there I had the whole place to myself. I wish there were more hiking trails, but you can fish right from your camp spot so that's awesome.
For sure, it’s absolutely amazing! Love visiting here in the off season. Just need to get a fishing pole for the next visit 😉👍
GOT IT ! THANK YOU FOR GETTING BACK TO ME 🙏 BE SAFE !
What a location! 🤩
Always a favorite in the off-season!
Camping with your dog on the river doesn’t get any better! Great video please keep them coming.
Couldn't agree more! Thank you for the support! 👍
Hey there! Not sure if you read the comments on your old videos or not, but I shall comment even so. You have a great attitude, I would have been a little more... flippy outty with that tailgate lol! The man/ dog relationship touched home ( I have two, and they are like family). The way you speak I can tell you are a genuinely nice guy. The editing was amazing, don't think that camera shot from the bottom of the thermos or whatever went unnoticed as you filled it... very nice! The gear, the views, and everything was cool to look at. I'll be watching from here on out from the Midwest! -Ben
Thank you for the kind words and support Ben, sincerely means a lot! I love going on trips like these with the pup as it's our way to escape the hustle n bustle from everyday life and simply enjoy our beautiful scenery outdoors. Even campgrounds like this offer a lot of opportunity where you don't necessarily need to make every trip a grandiose escape haha.
Awesome to hear our support is growing strong from the Midwest as I was born and raised in Wichita, KS so I know the area fairly well!
Happy holidays and wishing you all the best in the new year!
OMG, your baby is so adorable!!! Your are such a good dad!!
He is my little adventure partner! Looking forward to getting out on more trips with him here soon! 😊
Couple questions, where did you buy your LED lights? Also when you’re doing weekend trips how do you wash all your dishes. I assume being that you’re close to the river do you wash them there. But if you’re not near a water source do you bring enough water for drinking and cleaning.
I found your channel while researching the GFC campers. You make an enjoyable video, filming well and speaking well. I've subscribed now and look forward to enjoying more of your talents.
Thank you very much for the support!
Keep it coming buddy. Your video & editing is absolutely top notch. I'm from south africa and it's one of my dreams to do what you do. Also just me and my dog. Best of luck to you and will be watching out for your videos. AWESOME JOB!
Thank very much for the kind words! Definitely make your trips happen whenever and however possible. Doesn't have to be a grand multi-continent trip, even a few hour drive from home makes all the difference. Cheers to your future endeavors and safe travels! 👍
Wonderful as usual buddy. A man and his other best friend. Sorry KK. Keep these videos coming and explain how you do the drone shots while travelling solo.
Hahahaha it's true
Thank you!! Gotta love “follow mode” on the drone, works like a charm 👍
Camped beside a river flowing over the rocks. Bet it put you to sleep. And the fragrance of that place has to be fantastic.
Absolutely!
Another sweet video of the northwest.keep em coming Michael
Appreciate it! Much more on the way 👍
Beautifully done! You make it feel like we’re there too. Thanks!
Thank you, appreciate the support! 👍
Always great see in your videos, so relaxing.
Thank you very much!
Super Nice and Peaceful!!!!! Your set up keeps getting better and better. Thanks for sharing.
Sincerely appreciate it, thank you!! It has definitely been a long time coming, the vision of the build is finally coming together 👍
Great video, love the drone work & editing 🤙
Thank you very much!
I would love to see a map at the end of how you got to where you set up camp. Great videos! I lived out on the Peninsula for several years and loved it!
Gaia GPS has been my go-to for researching and navigating on the trails, definitely recommend it!
Thank you for the support!
bro I just caught onto your channel. great stuff. I've got family in and around Seattle. anyway this park u went to, where is it. I'd love to get up there and go camp with the family. I'm in California. down here we have to reserve camp sites 6months in advance. it's horrible, but it looks like up there u can just go, first come first serve, right? anyway keep the good stuff coming. have a good day
dave
I hope you got bed stiffners on your truck since you are using the GFC camper. IF not you are warping the tailgate that can cause it to not close right. Congrats on the GFC. Great photography and filiming.
Sure do, they’ve been on since day one 😉👍
Stanley is living the dream!!!!
Trying to make it so on all our trips! 😉 👍
Awesome stuff man! Do you have bed stiffeners on? If not I could see the bed sides bowing slightly on causing the issue.
Thank you! An they’ve been on since day one 😉👍
@@ConquestOverland so weird then
The set ups looking good the dogs cute be blessed my friend thanks for the video
Thank you very much!
This is a positive comment for the RUclips algorithm.
We appreciate all those, thank you! 😉👍
This is engagement with the positive comment for the RUclips algorithm😂
Make sure your mosquito net didn’t get caught up in your latch, just a thought , great video
Gran video y estas aventuras siguen, éxitos.
Just moved to the PNW in the Gig Harbor/Port Orchard area. Would be cool to cruise out with some people to camp
Welcome to the PNW!
Another great episode! Keep up the great work!
Appreciated the continued support, thank you!
Stanley is a top king... carry me around pops!! 😆
Right! He just makes all the decisions 😆
His face... love it 🐕❤
Awesome video and editing bud awesome 👏
Thank you very much!
sooo good man
Much appreciated, thank you!
You have a nice set up. I’m building my taco a little bit at a time.
Thank you! Just a piece at a time when you can. I've always found getting what you need vs. what you want has proven not needing to re-purchase similar items based on trip experience. 👍
Awesome stuff!
Thank you very much!
You’re videos are getting better. Keep it up man 👍🏾
Thank you!
Great Video man! Congrats on the new GFC setup.
Thank you very much!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Beautiful camp site Michael! I want a Stanley now!!!
Stanley made it an incredible weekend, the site was a bonus 😉👍
Beautiful video as always 😊✌
Thank you very much!
Hey Mike. One of the guys that said Hi along the iKamper fam. ✌️.
Right on! Thanks for stopping by, awesome to meet more of our community! Enjoy the rest of your weekend 👍
Fantastic video! Can’t wait to travel to the NW one day. You my friend have THE BEST setup in all of RUclips! Congratulations on all the success and looks like you are a great dog dad too 🤙🏼
Oh and I know you are not too into fishing but that river looked amazing to fish in 😍
Sincerely appreciate it, thank you! Work hard, play harder 😉 👍
Would love to get back into fishing, been far too many years since I have. This area is fantastic for it, see individuals fishing all the time when going out.
@@ConquestOverland pretty sure that’s still off season for rivers around there, unless there is an exception. Rivers are fairly hard to catch the required size for trout and the limit is only 2. Lakes are easier. I live near you and you if you want to do some fishing hit me up.
I can’t wait. I’m currently rewatching your Olympic Peninsula, Embracing The Rain part 1&2. It makes me want to go back out to Forks again and go exploring!
Right on! That area is amazing, could easily spend a week just exploring that entire Northwest side 👍
Did you sell you old Bat Wing?
Must be a zipper. LOL.
😆
Nice!
Thank you so much! 👍
Excellent overlanding
Stanley looks soooooo cute
He enjoyed his time in front of the camera 😆👍
More than likely you just need to get bed stiffeners to reinforce the tailgate portion of the bed. The weight of the camper can cause the bed to spread over time.
Weird thing is I've had stiffeners on since day one of owning the truck... 🤔
Were you ever able to determine why the tailgate stuck?
If you’re willing to share I’d love to know what trail this is. Thank you for all of the great content!
For sure, check out Queets campground 👍

My pleasure, glad you found I helpful! Check out this link for the tire table: www.tailgatertiretable.com/collections/tables/products/tail-gater-tire-table
Nice video!
Thank you!
Good stuff! Does Stanley ever get to be off leash? Seems a place like that would be ideal.
He does when in a fully enclosed area otherwise, no. There are far too many uncontrollable variables for being off leash especially when out in the woods/trails.
Hey, yes, love the vids as they opened up some possibilities for enjoying living in this area. So, this may have been asked by others elsewhere, but are there any clubs around here? I'd like to get into overlanding, but I don't do solo off-roading. I have a Jeep and I'm in Oly. Any advice would be awesome.
There's plenty out there just have to do a little searching and attending! Check out Overland Bound, Facebook Groups (search vehicle specific, Offroad, and overland), Overland Rallies through the country, local meet ups, visiting overland specific shops within your area, etc.
loving the content!
Thank you so much!!
Awesome Video alwayz bro. What camp ground is that?
Thank you! Check out Queets Campground 👍

Hello from Turin; Italy 🇮🇹
Hello! Thank you for the support!
Hello from the Olympic Peninsula, western Washington, PNW, USA ✌️
Really enjoying your content. I've just acquired a 2009 GX470 that is just itching to be transformed for overlanding. I'm going to the olympics for the first time this weekend. Would love some road or camp recommendations that would work for a stock GX?
Congrats on the recent purchase, you're in a perfect time with starting on a clean slate for a vehicle build! Honestly anywhere along the Hood Canal is great or the endless river spots within the Olympic National Forest by Wynochee Lake. If you're looking for exact campsite coordinates, I offer those on my Patreon platform. 😉 👍

@@ConquestOverland No Brainer Michael. Hope our paths cross sometime.
Can I ask what drone you use ? You get some great scenery shots with it.
I share your videos with my mom . She loves to watch them too
Keep them coming!!!
Right on, thank you so much!! Of course, be happy to share the recording gear. For the drone I use the Mavic Air 2 by DJI, absolutely love it! www.dji.com/mavic-air-2
What lights did you use on the GFC doors?
Did you ever discover why your tailgate didn't want to open? Curious because I also have a Tacoma...
Never did to be honest, it just started randomly working again and never had issues since... Maybe something got caught or just jammed up with the handle but even since I have posted this video way back when, all is in working order haha.
Beautiful drone shots, which drone do you use ?
Thank you! Currently using the DJI Mavic Air 2
love your videos. the beginning theme song always get me in the best mood to sit back and enjoy your content. I moved to Seattle 2 years back and starting this new year I came across your channel and it's motivating me to get out more and try something like this, but less extreme. :) any recommendations for a beginner within 1.5/2 hours of Seattle?
Right on, thank you!
Check out Trails Offroad, it's a great resource for finding trails of all levels. I use it all the time for scouting general locations and camping, we'll worth the subscription! www.trailsoffroad.com
@@ConquestOverland thank you. I download Gaia GPS as suggested a while back so will look forward to using that in parallel.
Really any campground in the mountains will ba amazing. Just make a reservation and drive out to a campground and you're set. Most of the time you don't even need to bring food if you're by a town. If you want to do what he's doing, it'll require packing food and doing a but mire research on trails, weather, and forest rules/laws...but once you do one trip, the rest are easy!
Also, what brand of outdoor pants do you wear or recommend?
Got it
What mounts are using for the max tracks on top of the Beef Rack cross bars?
Axia Alloys: axiaalloys.com/product/pair-of-maxtrax-traction-board-mounts/
What brand is your camping chair? It looks comfy but super minimalist which is great when we have to carry a lot of gear.
Looks like Front Runner chair
Correct, Front Runner was the chair! Works great and compacts super small 👍
where were you camping?
What kind of camping chairs do you have?
The Front Runner brand: www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/front-runner-expander-chair.html
How do you dry out the tent after you get home? Tall enough garage to open it and air it out?
Honestly it's all luck of the draw. I still work a full time job Mon-Fri so weekends are my only time out. So IF it's nice weather that following Monday, I try and open everything up and let it dry out. If not its a matter of planning trip around the weather or coordinating with a friend who has a carport or tall garage. I have found hair dryers to work well with expediting the drying process 😉 👍
How do you keep your stuff from moving around on your deck ?
Ratchet straps are your best friend... 😉 👍
What size your refrigerator ? And where to you put in
Dometic 35, and I ratchet strap it on top of my drawer system in the bed of the truck.
@@ConquestOverland thanks why look so big like 75
Hey Michael, what forest road is this and the name of the campground? TY
Check out Queets CG 👍
@@ConquestOverland do you have a overlanding group that is joinable? My wife and I are from the islands and enjoy the outdoor but are novices as far as overlanding goes. Would like to tag along if there’s such thing. Thx
My tailgate did the same thing. I lubed the moving parts in the tailgate with bicycle chain lube since that's what I had with me. Problem solved.
Will definitely be doing that, thanks for the tip!
At 20:44 is that a person in the back walking around?
It is a campground, others were around 👍
how long do the lights last on a single charge ?
Really depends on the light brightness setting you have, but I managed to get two days of 4-6 hours use without issue. Re-charging is fairly quick as well.
youll have 18000 subs in 7 weeks
If we do, I’ll be sure to host a worthwhile giveaway for that exponential growth! Appreciate your support! 👍

As for dishes, I carry a 5 gallon water jerry. Enough for drinking and cleaning. I also use nature safe dish soap and proper dispose of any grey water. The only time I use direct water sources is to refill and water container and not for directly cleaning dishes in.
