    I bought a 900 Rally Pro recently. At a 32 inseam, its still a reach and i was happy to your comments on the Touratech lowering spring set up. Happy trails

      Kindred spirit! We're absolutely loving these bikes and even way more after we filmed that video. We've taken them on some challenging off-road that we never would have gotten through unscathed on our old bikes. They are just such sturdy, elegant, and rip-roarin' fun machines! Enjoy yours!

    Bar riser on my rally pro transformed the feel of the bike. 30mm up and 25mm towards you, makes the bike even more special, highly recommended the voigt moto tecknik handle risers, they even look good. Good luck riding and stay safe

      Totally agree! Since filming this video, we installed ROX Risers and it's made a huge difference in the comfort and the ergonomics for standing off-road. Thanks again and enjoy your rides on such a gorgeous bike!

    The handlebar risers to bring them Up AND Closer are definitely available. Just saw a guy with them on a 1200 GS

      We recently installed 2" Rox Risers. It required some repositioning of cables but it adds huge comfort, especially for standing!

    After having a friend film me and my dog on the bike, I need to beef up or adjust the rear shock on my bike. Wouldn't trade the experience for the world though!

    • @GoRUFFLY
      @GoRUFFLY  Год назад +1

      That's not particularly uncommon. Just like if you were riding 2-up with a human pillion, you might need to adjust the preload for the additional weight. I certainly had to do that for my previous GS and my current Tiger 900. So glad you're enjoying it. There are a few adjustments to be made in riding with your pup, such as needing to include them in your own saddle-up and dismount routine - and to think about their bathroom needs! - but it's so worth it!

    I ride a Tiger 800XRT. You'll love the 900. I also put risers on my 800. Height not so relevant, Inseam is. Enjoy the Tigers!

    The way you customized the bikes to make them lower sounds great, but that's adding quite a bit of money onto an already expensive adventure bike. It's easier and much cheaper to adjust your technique. I have the same inseam as Greg, but I ride bikes that are 34-35" easily as I don't need to flat foot the ground. Here are some techniques you can practice, and there are many strategies to use for tall bikes. You might already be familiar with Greg's (MotoJitsu) channel, but I think this is the way to go since most bikes other than cruisers are tall for us, and this way you don't always have to modify every bike, or ride pretty much any bike. I know some smaller women who ride R1200's etc. with ease, both on and off road. Thanks again for sharing!: ruclips.net/video/OLBk6tX049s/видео.html

      You make a very excellent point about adding money to an already expensive machine. That said, we're for gaining any and every advantage to make a big adventure bike more manageable, especially if you don't have the virtue of height. So, skillset training, yes. Lowing, yes. We're fortunate that Touratech supported us with the lowering kit. I can certainly tell you that Greg has appreciated it, especially as we've gotten into some tricky scrapes down here in Mexico!

      @@GoRUFFLY In the end, it's whatever makes you most comfortable, especially when you are traveling the distances you are. You are doing amazing things. Keep it up!
