I'm not sure most people would say 2. Though 2 is better than 1, as 1 suffered more from being an indi film. But Army Of Darkness is really the one most people reference and think of when referring to the franchise. For a lot of us, this movie was our introduction to the franchise, and we had to seek out parts 1 and 2 after learning that it is a sequel.

My intro to the "Evil Dead". Had heard about it but never saw any of it. Saw this by chance on tv Came in about 30 minutes in and loved it. Luckily the channel showed it again a few days later and saw it from the start. It was everything I hoped it was. Crazy fun and adventure. The skeleton army tribute to Ray Harryhausen made my day. Crazy that this was a lot of people's first one! What a great into to the series though, it works well as a spin off but also gives you enough info at the beginning to understand the story. Overall its just a fantastic film, glad to share it with everyone!
So far, no reactor has ever picked up on Bruce's "Moe Howard" "Why You" when he's attacked in the pit. Being a Three Stooges fan, I roared at this line. True story, when my brother, sister and i saw this in a 1/2 filled movie theater, my brother and I were the only two in the place laughing our heads off. I think the rest of the audience hadn't seen the first two movies and couldn't figure out what they were sitting through.
Before the multiplayer game there is Evil Dead: Hail To The King (Sega Dreamcast, PS1), that takes place after the ending of Army of Darkness. There's also a direct sequel called Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick on PS2 and Xbox. And there's also Evil Dead: Regeneration (PS2, Xbox), which is more of a What If? sequel - What If Ash never went back in time? ;) =) There's a deleted scene where Ash tries to convince Henry and his men to join them against the Deadites. There's a couple of deleted scenes, plus an alternative darker opening (which I really liked) and this is the theatrical version you have seen, the director's cut (I think that's the one) has the original "bad" ending.
Wow I didn't know there was so many I need to play them all! I so badly need more evil dead in my life! I didn't know there was another version of the film too! Must check that out! Thank you for the recommendations! 💙

If you do remember about that mirror, image reflection of Ashley Williams, that’s his real name, Ash for short, but if you do remember, this is a mirror image reflection of him came alive from the mirror and said this Fine we are not fine. 01:31 Thank you. I've yet to start watching your reaction to AoD but I had to comment on your appreciation for practical effects. The poor, overuse of modern CGI turns a lot of films for me into FMVs from the old 90s games. I miss stunts from real people, animatronics with puppeteers and costumes with real performers in them. They're immersive while CGI pulls me out of the film. Labyrinth rules. I can't wait for my niece and nephew to grow a little so we can watch that classic together. If you love the creatures of The Jim Henson Company, hopefully you're a fan of the cult sci-fi show Farscape.
