Thanks for sharing your experience. My 98 F-150 XLT dashboard doesn't look anything like that but I found a RUclips video on how to replace my turn signal switch and it's pretty similar. Cheers!
@@joeyb7373 so if you have a non-tachometer instrument cluster and you’re looking directly at it the indicator should be on the right side with the battery and fuel gauge situated to the left of it. If you’re looking at the backside of the gauge cluster, it will be a row of three black knobs on the far left side. Of those three it will be the middle one.
thanks for the video. going to do this tomorrow. what did you use to secure your fuel switch to the bezel? - think its at about 1:34. mines doing the same and gotta fix it too. Thanks
mtw3725 No problem man!🤙 So I used a hot glue gun and glued the broken piece back. You can also plastic weld some piece of plastic there to form a new screw mounting piece. For pieces of plastic, I just scraps off the back side of the bezel.
I have the same problem the bulbs are burning but their so dim their not lighting up the needle it self I prefer sticking with bulbs but if I put new bulbs in will I have the same problem since the old bulbs still burning
Bernard Lock I bought the bulbs from my local auto parts store. So I can’t quite remember what the serial number is. I’ll look at a couple of bulbs and see what matches. @@TheMinuteMasters Awesome. Thank you. I have some crazy intermittent shifting issues and I was told that it could be my instrument panel so your videos on removing the instrument cluster is very helpful. This is something I will do in about a week. I think I may try to change them out with "blue led" after some thought. Awesome, I followed your video replacing the sound dampening like you did. I needed a little over 2 boxes but it worked great on my XLT Ext Cab 1994.

Thanks for the video. I'm upgrading all my interior lighting to LED. Purchased a 96 f150 XLT last week and it needs some upgrades.
No problem man!🤙 I’m glad I can help you out. Nice! These trucks look so good when you upgrade different parts like the bulbs to LEDs.

ITUMBLE4U Thanks man! I’m glad you liked and that you found a video for your 98!
what your is your F150 and which engine does it have and is it 2 wheel drive or four wheel drive?
Joe Dirt It’s a 1995 XL with the 5.0L engine. It’s 2wd too.
Thanks. Bulb replacement is a real PITA.
No problem man!🤙 It sure is!
Do your dash lights still dim by turning the headlight switchw/ the new LEDs? Thanks!
Yup, the dash lights still dim when you turn the headlight knob.🤙
I'm thinking of putting LED's in my '96 F150's cluster but I have a question first. Are they dimmable or do they always stay bright?
Mine are bright and dim very well and I’ve had them in for at least 6-7 years now.
@@TheMinuteMasters OK, I'm convinced. Think I'll order some right away. Thanks!
good video clear explanation and instructions
Thanks man!🤙 I appreciate it!
I used Meguiar's PlastX to polish that clear plastic cover over the gauges. Takes some elbow grease but mine came out like new!
Jim Nice! Does it take the blemishes out?
Well, mine only had minor scratches and discoloring but it did come out looking like new.
Jim That’s awesome! I’ll have to try that! That plastic lens is hard to come by.
Waiting for the weather to let up, I need to do this for my bronco the top of the speed meter is dim and I can’t see those speeds
Sal Gonzalez I hate when that happens! Good luck!👍
I have 1994 f150 do you know the location of the high beam light on the dash?
Are you trying to replace that specific bulb?
@@TheMinuteMasters yes high beam low beam that shows on the dashboard everytime u use my high beams there is no indication on my dash

dumb question but how many bulb are there all together
Good question. If you bought 12 that might cover every bulb. You can always return extras if you need/want to be on the safe side.
Do they make different color leds?
I believe they do but the film imbedded in the dash cluster turns white LED light green.

Great Vid. How many bulbs did it take?
For this fix, it took 2 bulbs. The dash requires one bulb per gauge. The Speedo has a larger bulb than the rest.
What year is this looks like a Model-T
Hahahaha 1995 F150
don,t forget to replace the ones in the a/c controler panel there,s two bulbs there
Yup
Can you give us the serial number of the LED bulbs to "pre-purchase" from the Auto parts store?
