Gastonia is the largest city in and county seat of Gaston County, North Carolina, United States. It is also the second largest satellite city of the Charlotte area, behind Concord. The population was 71,741 at the 2010 Census. In 2016, the population had increased to 75,536. Gastonia is the 13th largest city in North Carolina. It is part of the Charlotte metropolitan area, officially designated the Charlotte Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Gastonia has experienced steady growth, with a population increase between 2000 and 2010 of nearly 8.2%, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
My great grandmother was born in Gastonia!!! She later moved to Alabama! This is so awesome! I always wondered what her home town looked like! Thank You so much!

If you want your hometown to be better, then you need to help it get better. Stop being so quick to jump up and move to another city/town just because it seems better. That place could be struggling just as bad, if not worse. All because you brought on more issues by moving there. Gastonia looks like it has the potential to be a better city than it once was before.
If you want change you have to be the change.
I plan to move in the spring of 2021.
Or you can go with option number 1 and leave and not look back.

I have lived in Gastonia all my life and I am 46 years old, I have travel to a lot other states, and I am finaly moving this spring! The place can drop off the map and I would not be bothered!
