@Robby ,, Brian has surpassed them both.
Chris Harmond is best commentator Robby there is no comparison only two commentator in USA that could draw the one Cali and NY no other commentator in Jamaica go and ask 20 person and they will tell you Chris
ONE IF THE GREATEST RIDE BY MY JOCKEY ,BIMBO.MY LATE DAD TOLD ME A HORSE MAN WON THAT FACE .
Bold magic led with jockey Alton Andrade this to me is the best Derby ran at the park
aiken800 do you have audio with any of these horses Indian Flame, Arizona, Ramvin, Harlequin, Golden Sky, African Sky, Merengue, Common Law, Fire in you wire, Hot Line, 5 round specialist Willy Nilly, Vivace, Kruger, Vivaldi all trained by Eileen Cliggott. 70'S to early 80'S Era. These horse names should resonate with a lot of horse veterans. Big it up punters👊🏻
I get chills wat a race
That was a great race. Can you get the 1979 Super Stakes? That was special.
I want to hear 1980 derby
True Colors beating Bold Magic and Hell A Pop in the Oaks was also vintage stuff..Hoping that it will be uploaded soon
Remember that race as if it was yesterday,
Bimbo the best
Needs this race in action
Bold magic lead for most of the way with Alton Andrade I hope you can find a race with this jockey winning
The biggest racing fan did not get to see this race was in Miami . I had left Jamaica the year before what a shame I think I had seen Tudor Whit Sydney Watson win the previous year 1978.
1978 derby was won by Zell with Fitzroy Gillespie for Howard McKenzie
@@fitzroyjohnson1159 Thank for the information.
That Derby was 1975 Bimbo's first Derby
@@lennoxfletcher3600 Thanks 🙏🏽 for that information.I being anxious waiting for Emilio to win his first race as an apprentice he rode Prairie Song for his apprentice master Fitz Crawford afew times . I think his first winner was Utter Bliss correct me if I am wrong . Great and wonderful times at Caymanas .
@@christopherchannelmarlo3227 correct sir
I am way younger than you, but I talk to him very often
He is my friend like that
Remember this race very well. As a kid, was just getting into racing during these times and was cheering for Bold Magic. Bimbo would later become my favorite jockey. I remember the local Sunday newspaper featured the Derby prominently along with the Wimbledon Tennis final won by Bjorn Borg.
I would love to see the 76 derby with Georgie winning on Reca for Ren Gonzalez and the 77 derby with Fitzroy(pumpkin)Gillespie winning on Legal light for Billy Williams and the 78 derby with Fitzroy(dizzie)Gillespie winning on Zell for Howard McKenzie, maybe it will be difficult, any one of them would greatly appreciated...
Love to see the race between royal dad and legal light.
Need the video for this race
Don't have the video...record the race from radio.
The video must be some where, I wish I could see it. But I play the audio over and over
The best darby that ever run at caymanas
Fanna rode Call the Doctor for Arthur Sharpe.
Yep

I can't get enough of chris he was the best
Thank you very much for sharing this video. I have been searching for this video for years. I remember the race like it was yesterday. Which horse did Winston Griffiths ride ?
I think he rode Robin Goodfellow for Kenneth Mattis
Roger Aiken . Thank you very much family. Can you get the video? Also can you get some more classic races from in the eighties including the derby won by A King is Born? Nuff respect
Winston rode Call the doctor for Arthur Sharpe.
Arthur Edwards . Thank you very much family
Call the doctor winston Griffiths
This is one for the ages . Pumpkin was a little too late as was he’s a native and Bold Magic was way too early. The mistake Andrade made was going toe to toe with mr lsq.

I ask about it and was told that most of the old JBC recordings, the tape were reused, recorded over on, including the entire Ring Ding and Where It at tapes catalogs, so all those history are lost
Such a shame
So sad
The best Derby ever 1979
Jamaica racing authority is a joker big time
Messenger me please
@@peterlevell7234 I don't think Jamaica's racing authorities (?) has those tapes. It would have been JBC. I figure the practice in those days was to reuse the tapes because of cost. Maybe it was a lack of vision because I'm sure they could sell copies of those tapes for good money now.
I dont see race with mento maid or naheelah from you bro
I don't have any races with those horses...I was a big Bimbo fan when I was in JA.
Good race
