uhm I ALWAYS sit in the back of the ambulance on its way to the hospital, and I also have my seatbelt on. Only if I have to take further actions, I tell the driver that I release my seatbelt and stand up and after a minute I tell him that IÄm back on my seat

When I ran with a volunteer ambulance service it was similar protocol and I remember having heard my instructors endlessly instill that so long as the nature of the callout doesn't warrant a trauma alert, CPR/defibrillation or code 3 response that we were to address and treat any visible injury(ies), broken bone immobilization and/or bleeding on-scene for this same reason because if you were to be standing and unrestrained while attending to a patient or are performing emergent interventions such as a rapid-sequence-intubation or a cricothyrotomy where sharps are involved and unsecure and then end up involved in a MVA, that could very well make a already bad day/situation 10x as worse!
