These scared me as a kid, made me think that every rated M game had these special game over deaths. I never seen the Goro's lair death, that's insanely dedicated to make the player feel like they're royally punished in death.
I like these random comments in game over screen, some of them are completely meaningless, but some gives you hints and you're not always know which one is which. MK is adding mystery to it's atmosphere as always, and i love it, wish more games did something like that.

My only guess why is due to technical limitations and/or time constraints, just like how Shang Tsung and Kintaro don't have their own fatalities (as well as some mini bosses, like Reptile's pet and Orochi Hellbeast). Thanks a lot for this video, I was almost ready to turn on the emulator and die everywhere in the game like an idiot to try to find them myself and would've just wasted lots of time for nothing lol
The production of this game was very busy and troubled, there was probably no more time to create new animations. When Shang Tsung kills us, it's Shao Khan who finishes, strange isn't it?

I played this with a cousin and we never lost ti reptile. We revisited 10 years later and talked so much trash . I think he heard us because he showed us his fatality.
My favorite one is probably the Kitana's one. Nice, never seen the first one. I don't think I've died so much on those, probably just with Shao Kahn and Sub Zero XD

@@MrShadow1995. I don’t remember if he said it as a boss but you could unlock scorpion and subzero to play as in the story mode. Me and my brother were playing and my brother used the spear move and her just randomly said “get over here bitch!” It was so darn funny!
