1. I love any video that doesn't stress Josephine out 2. As a fellow Korean, I'm going to start asking, "What flavor of Asian are you?" whenever I meet a new Asian
So much this, and even when they get upset because they don't believe I'm Korean I think I will still do so. I also want to know what country makes those crisps, and see if the local Asian markets can get it.
Not sure how I ended up on ballet RUclips, I'm almost 52 and never danced a day in my life, but I'm totally here for it! I've been watching your videos for several weeks now and I'm hooked. Keep them coming please!
42 and I got here in a weird way pre-pandemic. I was watching The Toe Bro and a ballerina went to him to permanently fix an ingrown toe nail, which introduced ballet/pointe shoes to my YT algorithm. But I was watching Toe Bro because of the Hoof GP, which I was watching because I watch Weed 'em and Reap, which I watch because of Snake Discovery. So in the end a Snake/reptile channel brought me here over the span of maybe 5 years. Algorithm are weird that way.
Back in the day when I danced most of us didn't really snack lol. I lol because dear lord there are generations of dancers who have really bad relationships with food.
Unless I am mistaken, the girl in green from wicked is australia and she may be in the Australian production which is currently touring Australia and is in Melbourne at present x
I am never going into ballet, I'm far, far too old, yet even so, I find these videos, and watching you react to them Josephine; lots of fun and I've learned tons about ballet points shoes. Thank you for such good quality videos. Have a great week!
My partner and I eat international chips for TikTok. The bags are ALWAYS hard to open and the flavors tend to be sweeter. Our favorite lately is ribeye steak!
I admire the amount of effort gals put into preparing Freeds. I’ve heard so often that they really don’t last long, so that’s a lot of time when they are going for have to do it so often. Any Freed wearers, would love to know how many hours you’re actually getting out of your shoes.
As a former Freed wearer (about 30 years ago 🤣), I did the 3/4 shank and stepped on the box. When shoe started to die, we used Future Floor Wax in the box to harden it. Depending on what I was doing, class, rehearsal performance, I could be a pair to last a week to a month. When I was professional and provided shoes, I used newer shoes for performance and older for class and rehearsal.
Omg! I saw you at sf ballet while picking up my friend but was too shy to say hi. Just wanted to say that you are going to be an amazing mother and I love your videos! ❤❤
Hi Josephine l love watching you videos, I am nearly 49 never danced a day in my life always had bad ankles. But I have always loved watching ballet and other forms of dance. I think your videos are really interesting even for the none dancers out here.
Hi there, your videos are really fun! About the rosin trick we also use it here at the Stuttgart Ballet, the only issue is that with rosin the shoes get dirty sooner 😏. So another option is to “pancake” them pink with the Kryolan colours 😉
Waaaaiiiiit there’s a “Josephine eats a snack and tells us what she thinks about it” option for videos? Why did we not know this before!? Where can we send snacks? Let’s make this permanent! 😁
Watching ballet clips got me using my stretchband. Neck spasm and off to the chiropractor. Now 5th month of rehab from a twisted pelvis resulting from several injuries and much improved!
I've dyed a good number of poi te shoes. And if you absolutely dont want your shoes to change in how they fit, i advise you to use good fabric paint. I started using fabric paint to change the coolour of my shoes and it completely stopped them changing in how they fit. Dye soaks in and can often distort the box as it absorbs they wet dye, but fabric paint done in thin layers doesn't soak into the box.
I don’t do ballet, but recently took up ballroom and was obviously influenced by this account to get Freed ballroom shoes when I was in London. 🤣 you got me Josephine!
I loved the chips mixed in. Helped with the ASMR. Whatever mama wants! Wondering how the Etu will change the game in the future of box-only shoe lovers.
I'm here for the cucumber chips review! I found an oregano flavor of Lay's in Greece and got addicted. So good! Why don't we get any fun international flavors over on stateside?
Hey Miss Josephine, Have you heard of the first 3-D printed pointe shoe called Act'ble? If you have, do you know anything about the longevity and durability of these pointe shoes? I'm also curious about your thoughts on modern technology being used as opposed to the traditional handmade method.
Mmmm cucumber flavored Lay's chips! I remember trying that in China way back in 2006-2010 sometime when I went to China a few times. It was surprisingly pleasant and I even wish I could find them here at home in Sweden.
there's a type of chip only available in new zealand and australia that's dill pickle and apple cider vinegar flavour and im OBSESSED. it's super expensive though bc its like organic and compostable packaging and stuff, but the chips are so worth it (brand is Proper Crisps)
The girl from Wicked is Olivia Castanga and she is in Wicked The Musical Australia, they are currently in Melbourne. Wicked only has one person in pointe which normally the FE2 (Female Ensemble 2) track.
I’ve never had to break my shanks because I have a really high arch that breaks them down really quickly. I’m a 5 1/2 XX in Grishko’s. I have crunched on my boxes a little. I typically wear an ouch-pouch gel pad, and a bandaid on whatever toe needs it at the moment. A pair of shoes usually lasts me about 2 weeks
I put my Bloch in the washing machine. I don't reccomend it but it worked for me and they are fine (the machine was set at delicate with cold water, and hang them to dry)
Anytime I see dancers break in their pointe shoes, I am so perplexed that it apparently isn't possible to make pointe shoes, that don't have to be taken apart, sut up and hammered before use (I'm not a dancer and don't know anything about the making of pointe shoes).
idk if this would work bc i don't dance on pointe but i think wiping down your gaynor mindens with micellar water could be a good alternative if you just wanna remove the dark marks!! i've even done that with my white street shoes :)
I sew a lot, and there’s a better way to take in a shoe for the dancer who tried to take in the back of one shoe and ruined it! Basically, sew the fabric in then just leave the extra fabric, or cut it AFTER it’s been securely sewn. Obviously it’s better to get two pairs but if sewing is your only option there’s better ways to do it
Bacteria would feed on paste in traditional pointe shoes. Therefore, putting them in the freezer would stop that process. You put food in the fridge to keep it from going bad for the same reason. So it could lengthen the life of your shoes.
It.s crazy, I did ballet as an extra activity when I was a kid (during 7 years) and never someone told me ballerina had to destroy the point shoes to be « efficient » and « confortable » 😮
Any recommendations on shoes for a very narrow disappearing heel. So far the only shoes where the heel stays on is the Bloch eurostretch. I sew my criss cross elastics the whole way down the back seem but no matter what the heel always slips off. Tried rosin and hair spray on my heel to try and get it to stay on but I’m constantly having to pull up my heel or pull it back on unless I’m wearing the Bloch eurostretch. Thank you in advance for anyone who can give me advice.
Giselle ballerina is Ludmila Semenyaka, Vaganova graduate and Bolshoi Ballet star for decades. Bolshoi had its own custom-made shoes in that epoch, by the way.
I had the cucumber chips and I tasted the cucumber full on (proof we have different taste buds!) and boy I didn't like those chips hahaha I thought it tasted like I took a bite of potato and a bite of cucumber at the same time... why???????? it's a no from me 🤣
I don't understand are American pointe shoes silk? Because here in France they are synthetic satin not silk. I wouldn't get them wet because of the cardboard in them but the satin itself is synthetic. Is it not the case in the US?
was planning on doing ballet, and i didnt know they cut it where their arch is... I'm gonna have to cut so much XD My feet are made to be in pointe shoes fr
1. I love any video that doesn't stress Josephine out

Hi Josephine!! I’m the girl in this video with the green pointe shoes from Wicked Australia - thank you so much for sharing and being so kind! 💚💚💚
You're beautiful! 🤩😍 Absolutely gorgeous work!
Gorgeous girl you eat so much ❤❤
Not sure how I ended up on ballet RUclips, I'm almost 52 and never danced a day in my life, but I'm totally here for it! I've been watching your videos for several weeks now and I'm hooked. Keep them coming please!
43 and same! I've been following since tik-tok 11 or something. I just love Josephine!
55 here and have loved this channel for two years. ❤We could not afford lessons for what they used to call extra-curricular activities.
42 and I got here in a weird way pre-pandemic. I was watching The Toe Bro and a ballerina went to him to permanently fix an ingrown toe nail, which introduced ballet/pointe shoes to my YT algorithm. I’m 55 and I came across her channel and got sucked in! ❤
65 and never danced, and here I am every time a new video is posted.
"What flavor of Asian is this" a sentence I will never be able to say without being descended upon. lol
Unless you are at a fusion restaurant. Then it'd at least be kinda okay. 😭😂
9:20
We need a snack review from Josephine and her ballerina ambassadors. And also what their favorite snacks are.
Yes!!
I AGREE!!! 😱😱
OMG YESSS LOL
Please please please 🙏 ❤❤❤
Back in the day when I danced most of us didn't really snack lol. I lol because dear lord there are generations of dancers who have really bad relationships with food.

When Josephine said “that’s not a very popular shoe” I thought said that Wicked wasn’t a very popular show, and I was like “girl? You good?” 😂
omg pointe shoe beetle infestation?! Oh nooo. I've never heard of such a thing!
That made me fully fully cringe 😬😬😬 That sounds sooooo gross
My partner and I eat international chips for TikTok. The bags are ALWAYS hard to open and the flavors tend to be sweeter. Our favorite lately is ribeye steak!
LOVE pointe shoe hacks! (also, I simply must seek out and try those chips!).

I love your videos so much 😭 I just got my first point shoes this weekend (I'm 16) but I'm so excited and your videos make me even more excited!!
Ruby is my ballet teacher lol!!! I love her!
Love your videos! I've never danced (ballet) a day in my life, but LOVE your series!
Hi josephine! I love you so much ❤❤😊 keep up the great work, hope your baby is healthy & happy 💗💗💗🤍
Hi Josephine l love watching you videos, I am nearly 49 never danced a day in my life always had bad ankles. But I have always loved watching ballet and other forms of dance. I think your videos are really interesting even for the none dancers out here.
Green 🩰 shoes. Never seen that but it looks 😎. Spray tan hack 🤔 never thought of that. I had to use pancake makeup back in the day.
Looks like if you get the technique down it’s quicker, more even and should get less liquid on the shoe
I love the ballet shoe butchery. It's so fascinating.
I LOVE this series. You should do it OFTEN!

What do you think about the act’ble 3d printed pointe shoes? Getting a lot of videos for them showing up recently!
I keep asking this too!
I’m sat here wearing green too…and I’m seeing wicked tomorrow! 😍💚
“I know, someone with a foot fettish please pay me a million dollars.” Lmfao
I don’t do ballet, but recently took up ballroom and was obviously influenced by this account to get Freed ballroom shoes when I was in London. 🤣 you got me Josephine!
i love this series! please do more!
I'm so happy I just got fitted for my pointe shoes yesterday day
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
I just saw my comment after a bit well an update I just got fitted for my second pair and got a new brand
I loved the chips mixed in. Helped with the ASMR. Whatever mama wants!
Wondering how the Etu will change the game in the future of box-only shoe lovers.
Girl I love any ballet content you make so I'm here for it all❤❤❤
I remember watching a dancer sew her shoes in the LRC when I was in college and I have been mesmerised since.
I HAD A GREAT TIME AND I LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS
I love this series!
I'm here for the cucumber chips review! I found an oregano flavor of Lay's in Greece and got addicted. So good! Why don't we get any fun international flavors over on stateside?

I love watching these!! Especially when we get the "asmr breaking in pointe shoes" lol
Omg i love your vidsss sooo much every vid u post i click so fastttt❤❤❤
The girl from Wicked is Olivia Castanga and she is in Wicked The Musical Australia, they are currently in Melbourne. Wicked only has one person in pointe which normally the FE2 (Female Ensemble 2) track.
Everyone make suggestions for snacks for Josephine. I nominate Lay’s Avocado Wasabi Flavor Potato Chips..
I tried the cucumber lays, they only had that cucumber after taste. They were interesting but definitely not a repurchase for me.
I love y’all’s vidss
i love this series because while im not on point i love ballet and dancing and am just wiating for my studio to start doing point
so surprised to see the chinese version of lays haha this is my favourite flavor
Aaah thank you for answering what flavor of Asian! I now know what store to go to…
I put my Bloch in the washing machine. I don't reccomend it but it worked for me and they are fine (the machine was set at delicate with cold water, and hang them to dry)
Calamine lotion is great for taking the shine off
My best friend has done ballet for two years and she is on point
Love you! Love the series! ❤
I love the pointe shoe series!
I LOVED THATTTTT❤❤❤❤❤❤ I LOVE YOU LOL
Respect. You all deal with BUGS IN YOUR SHOES! I thought I was tough
Not a ballet person, but love you, Josephine! :)
Anytime I see dancers break in their pointe shoes, I am so perplexed that it apparently isn't possible to make pointe shoes, that don't have to be taken apart, sut up and hammered before use (I'm not a dancer and don't know anything about the making of pointe shoes).
It hurts me because they are so expensive but then the dancer knows their own feet best
I LOVE THIS SERIES PLZ THX DO MORE!!
idk if this would work bc i don't dance on pointe but i think wiping down your gaynor mindens with micellar water could be a good alternative if you just wanna remove the dark marks!! i've even done that with my white street shoes :)
Keep em coming!
I remember watching Wicked and seeing green pointe shoes!
Let's get snacks, drinks and relax ✨️
the freezer would also cause water/sweat to evaporate faster so maybe they don't break down as fast?
more i need more of this series MORE
❤ That crunch and not the chips❤
Loved it!
I love these so much! ❤
Hey Josephine , I have a question if you are a young dancer like 12 or 13 getting your first pair of pointe shoes, how do you break them in ?
I sew a lot, and there’s a better way to take in a shoe for the dancer who tried to take in the back of one shoe and ruined it! Basically, sew the fabric in then just leave the extra fabric, or cut it AFTER it’s been securely sewn. Obviously it’s better to get two pairs but if sewing is your only option there’s better ways to do it
The crispy noises!!!
I do not dance at all…love your channel❤
Bacteria would feed on paste in traditional pointe shoes. Therefore, putting them in the freezer would stop that process. You put food in the fridge to keep it from going bad for the same reason. So it could lengthen the life of your shoes.
I love the pointe shoe hack videos. Down with cups! 🤣🚫🥤
It.s crazy, I did ballet as an extra activity when I was a kid (during 7 years) and never someone told me ballerina had to destroy the point shoes to be « efficient » and « confortable » 😮
b morph was my first pair of pointe shoes! i was 11 years old lol
I really prefer these videos more than the TikTok reacts (by a lot). I like learning about pointe shoes.
Thank you in advance for anyone who can give me advice.
question for the spray tan to turn pointe shoes nude, how do you find the right shade for you? I tried spray tanning them and it turned out orangey😅
Giselle ballerina is Ludmila Semenyaka, Vaganova graduate and Bolshoi Ballet star for decades. Bolshoi had its own custom-made shoes in that epoch, by the way.
I don't even dance and I LOVE this.
I love that the ad i get after this video is Alex Wong in an Old Spice commercial ... PEAK BALLET ACHEIVED.
thks so much!
“Looks like a moth ate it” 😂😂😂😂 yep they do girl!
what size pointe shoe would fit a uk size 9 normal shoe be because the is no pointe shoe fitter around me and love ur vids
More please. 🥰
can u do a review to act'ble 3d printed pointe shoes?
I just clicked on the 1st Josephine video I saw and didn’t realize its was posted like 8 mins ago lol
I had the cucumber chips and I tasted the cucumber full on (proof we have different taste buds!) and boy I didn't like those chips hahaha I thought it tasted like I took a bite of potato and a bite of cucumber at the same time... why???????? it's a no from me 🤣
I've literally got a doctor thats name is Josephine and she used to do ballet and she teaches at my ballet school sometimes
Wicked is not en pointe in the U.S. :) I'm assuming this is the West End (London) production based on her accent
I don't understand are American pointe shoes silk? Because here in France they are synthetic satin not silk. I wouldn't get them wet because of the cardboard in them but the satin itself is synthetic. Is it not the case in the US?
Josephine❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😄
Freezer probably kills the bacteria on the shoe from sweat as well as killing booklice
i remember when I saw wicked, my mom IMMIDIATLY pointed out the girls wearing green pointe shoes!
was planning on doing ballet, and i didnt know they cut it where their arch is... I'm gonna have to cut so much XD My feet are made to be in pointe shoes fr
Until finding your channel I would not have believed that anyone would make shoes that need to be destroyed before they can be worn! 😂
