      Would you consider doing a basic Crossroads acoustic version? I can just about about middle my way through the song but cannot get a solo together. And this song really needs a little lengthened in the middle.

    Hey Joe! Greetings from Tucson Arizona! I love your videos and think you are one of the best guitar teachers on RUclips. I have learned a handful of great songs on the guitar from your tutorials.
    I am still somewhat of a beginner and this has been a great track for me to learn some of the foundational elements of blues guitar. The only part that you didn’t explain is how you do the little mini riff when you switch from the E to the A. I have tried and tried to figure it out on my own and I’m thinking that your playing an open string with maybe a couple of hammer on’s or hammer offs, but I just can’t get it.
    If you have 60 seconds and can send a short reply on how you are doing that, that would be so awesome! Thanks!

      Darren Webb Hi Darren, sorry about the sound, it was one of my first, I think I am getting on top of that now.. Anyway, no there is no picking as such on the B7 just the walk in ( 6.13 in the video ) is single note. B7 is strummed. Hope that helps ;)

    The only thing that's missing is that Clapton is syncopating picking. In other words playing the licks and solos while playing the rythym parts. It ups the ante as far as learning it correctly.

    • @JoeMurphysGuitarlessons
      @JoeMurphysGuitarlessons  3 года назад

      No actually what’s happening is that Andy Fairweather is playing rhythm and when Clapton plays solo,he is just adding the bass note ala Robert Johnson etc. So in other words if he is riffing over E he is just playing e in the bass etc. Thats all you clan do,

    • @theroberthatton
      @theroberthatton 3 года назад

      I play this track. Clapton plays with an accompanist but he is playing syncopated. Trust me. You can look up how to play this and find half a dozen guys who teach it the way Clapton actually plays it.

    Am I missing something or is the commentary about the first riff (commencing at around 7:41) missing the second half of the riff? I can't seem to follow what's being played compared to how it was described in the commentary ie there seems to be more being played than was referred to in the commentary. Also, I think the reference to 6th fret 4th string should be 6th fret 3rd string, which is what it looks like is being played. Thanks to anyone who can put me straight if I'm wrong or if I'm missing something.
