This is not a breakup song... 10 years later when you still feel you have love for her, and the memories just get too real, your heart skips a beat, and all you'd ever want to say to her is "Hello"
The night my profile pic was taken was the first time i kissed her. Over the last 30 years i have see her around town and in others. Each time i can feel my heart stop.
Oh man you just gave voice to my hearts feelings .... Not 10 years but for me it has been almost 4 years and I still can't get over her( yet we were just friends, she didn't know that I had feelings for her, and I was too afraid of losing her that I never told her. You know when you find a such a treasure your biggest fear becomes losing her, because you know you'll never find someone like her again. She was literally divine, she was like a masterpiece of art that you only want to watch and admire but never touch, and she had the most beautiful soul. Sometimes I couldn't even believe that she was real, she was too good to be real). I've had been in relationships before her but she was my first love, "I've searched the universe And found myself within' her eyes" . So 4 years ago I moved to another country and I haven't seen her ever since, we haven't even spoken to each other . but she has been on my mind every single moment and "memories just get too real and my heart skips a beat" and as time passes my love for her gets stronger and deeper. I still remember her voice, her eyes, her golden hair, her smile in morning and her sweet hugs. I can't stop thinking about her for a moment and I'll never forget her cause "There's no one else could ever make me feel I'm so alive". And "she lives on inside of me , we've never been apart" and she's probably the best part of me. I haven't been in any kind of relationship in these 4 years ,I just can't be with someone else when I know I'll be lying to them. I know I'll be searching for parts of her in them. Even now I don't dare to tell her how much I love her, I don't want any kind of relationship with her because I know relationships always end and I'm afraid of losing her forever. I just want her to be happy, find someone who loves her and makes her feel alive. And maybe someday, like after 20 years, somewhere on this planet I'll see her again, and we'll say "hello". Or we will just smile, "cause sometimes words Aren’t the right words to say" ( Sorry for my English, I'm not a native. It's 3 am here and I couldn't sleep cause "she flames in me". I just wanted to write down my all this chaos that is in my head , I'm sorry)

I don';t think I can agree he is the only one, but Jeff definitely has phenomenal covers and does "retain the complexity and spirit of Bob while also adding..." Great guitarist!
He has such an angelic, original voice. It's like he knew exactly how to sing each note and phrase them just right to elicit the exact emotion he was going after. In fact he does that in every song he's ever sung.
Youghp Cornejo As long as we still listen to his music, he is, he lives on in his words he sings, the feeling he put forth in each line. A soul is immortal, and Jeff poured his into the words he sung.

Such a simple sentiment. If you see her - if you happen to, anyway - just say hello. Don't ignore her, she's special. She's worth more than a passing look or smile. She's such an amazing person, full of life, she might be in Tangiers, exploring the world. Beautifully written and beautifully sung. Bob Dylan said the definitive version of All Along the Watchtower is Jimi Hendrix's, I wonder if he feels similarly about this one.
He's just so honest..in a way that you can tell he'd been honest and true to himself for a long time, even when he got metaphorically beat up for it,. You can tell he doesn't conform in any way through even listening to his songs. That's why we love him so ..we know that part of ourselves, whether we follow it or not, we know it's the road less travelled..but look at the beauty that manifests itself down that road...there are only a few people that I've met in my 31 years of life that follow their own inner voice like he did. Nad well what can we say today’s music is boring, no taste in real music and pointless lyrics into it, this is our safe place, it’s everyone’s safe place
Growing up, I knew the name Jeff Buckley, I knew he did that hauntingly beautiful rendition of Hallelujah. I was too young and a bit naive to fully delve into his catalogue of stuff; Grace, Live at Sin-e, and his posthumously released body of unfinished work/and his incredible covers scattered through out YT. In the last few months I started listening, really listening. After I gave a good listen to Grace last year, I was changed. I knew he wasn’t on this planet anymore. I needed time to process his depth, his beauty, musicality. His voice...Before I started to listen to everything of his, watch every live, available performance of his. And now that’s what I’m doing. I listen to each new song, performance, interview with the impending doom that soon I will come to the last “New” thing, to me, at least. It’s a ticking time bomb. The last thing I come upon will be a sonic boom and I will never ever be the same again.
Dylans version makes me feel like "Ok, thanks for everything. I will always cherish you cause you were an important part of my life, but you're happy without me and I won't force myself in. Time to move on." However, this cover just makes me want to open a bourbon bottle a drink alone. How can that be? I mean they're the same lyrics!

The lyrics sung here, it turns out, resemble closely a version Dylan recorded in New York, not officially released until now. The lyrics you have put up resemble the Blood on the Tracks version to some extent, but some parts are either inaccurate or come from somewhere else. I'd be interested to know where.
I had never heard of this fella before tonight. I just listened to Hallelujah, and now this. I am so glad to have found his music even after all this time, but it's so sad that I never new of him when he was alive. I feel like I miss someone I never knew.
Jeff Buckley … my love since for ever ✨ it’s been a long time since I don’t listen to his music, mayb i was trying to forget certain time in my life … but today you came into my playlist and I didn’t skip … my heart is raising and tears are coming down…
Wow... I'm just now discovering this artist TODAY!!! I can't believe that this guy's music wasn't all over all of the radio stations. This guy is far more talented than the majority of musicians that have played on the pop stations... and yet - I've NEVER HEARD OF HIM until TODAY!!!
+thewirah1 I'm just amazed that I have NEVER HEARD of HIM before NOW!!! What???? This guy is so darn talented! I can't believe that his music didn't make it more into the mainstream pop venues.
As soon as heard that guitar that’s when I said to man, that’s our Jeff doin his thang! And I played it to him but he didn’t feel my feels. I fell in love with you Jeff way back in early 2000’s… My heart melted then, every year in between and still melts now. The voice of an Angel fell in my lap and leaves me heartfelt and wanting in every line. Thank you beautiful Angel. Within your wings and voice, we find love and light 😭🥰😇❤️✊🏽✌🏾🙏🏾
"We had a falling-out, like lovers often will And to think of how she left that night, it still brings me a chill And though our separation, it pierced me to the heart She still lives inside of me, we've never been apart" . . .

zaxapitsa His covers are crazy good and of course, when I was 15 he introduced me to that mysterious L. Cohen who wrote the cover on his debut album. 😉 That alone puts me in his debt for a lifetime.
“ I hear her name here and there as I go from town to town, and I’ve never gotten used to it, just learned to turn it off “ Such a relevant song, some 30 odd years later.
It's amazing, that dylan sorta wrote in the most amazing way regardless of what he is referring to in each song, and buckley is just freakin' amazing, well no words for his voice!! there is not a lot to say but listen..
I find it amazing that, after like the first couple Songs ive heard of him, I already knew that hes going to be a classic to me. After all these years all his Songs are still really moving. Its just one of the most magic Albums EVER created!
I’ll always love you, we had a great run. You’ll always be the love of my life, thank you for helping me with all my issues after my parents passed, thank you for all the laughing, love, and warmth you had. Good luck, I’ll always be here for you. Goodbye. ❤️
I've been a Buckley fan for years and have heard many live LPs and compilations, but this is the first time I'd heard this! Wonderful, very much a "Buckley cover-worthy cover," if this makes any sense to anyone reading this! (Laugh.) "Hallelujah" isn't the only song Buckley made his own, after all... In any case, thanks for posting it. Edit: I see now, it says "Bearsville Studio." Cool.
I have just discovered you Mr. Buckley. Your songs remind me of the feeling I experienced when I hear Bob Dylan for the first time. Good to know you are out there. Thank you.
Same. Authenticity in relationships fade into adulthood. People start seeing them in a business like manner. This reminds me of the time before then, in my late teens.
Unico. Adorabile. Jeff è anima pura, la sua voce afferra il cuore e ti sembra di sentire dolore, ma così dolcemente che non ti importa niente neanche di morire e te ne accorgi solo quando ormai It's 'too late...
absolutely no one does bob dylan quite like jeff, he pours so much emotion into everything he sings, what an unbelievable talent. what a loss to the world, he died and took the most beautiful lyrics never written with him 🤍
I can hear so many amazing influences in his music, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Taj Mahal, BB King, John Lee Hooker... lot of sweet ass blues tunes and great musicians.
A lot of artists have covered Dylan songs but they never did it for me...But Jeff’s Dylan covers are just amazing. It might just be because of his passion for music, and the way he puts it in all the songs he sings. I love Bob Dylan and hearing Jeff sing his songs is special. I’m 14 by the way (not that it matters though)
This is who we are. This is the purest thing which is just our and for us. We created it, we brought it to the light of the world. Art, poetry, music, and Jeff's voice. Everything else. Physics, math, universe, nature, this is not our and it was and always will be around us, to the end of the time. But music is just for us. Only for us. After we die, the art disappear forever. Music will never exist again.
Hey Cynthia he was played heavily on radio where I am from during and since his life and grateful I am that he was for he has bought my heart great joy over the years. And happy I am for you that you have discovered Jeff Buckley, about a year ago now says the computer, for he is one of this life's beautiful things. Like many of the beautiful things in life he too was fleeting. By design or accident I think it matters little, I choose not to dwell on the controversy or the sadness of his loss, but to be grateful that some small portion of his potential was recorded so that he may live on in our hearts whenever we choose to listen to his hauntingly beautiful voice.
She's the tear that hangs inside my soul forever.

I always have respected her for busting out and gettin' free
Oh, whatever makes her happy, I won't stand in the way
Though the bitter taste still lingers on from the night I tried to make her stay
I see a lot of people as I make the rounds
And I hear her name here and there as I go from town to town
And I’ve never gotten used to it, I’ve just learned to turn it off
Either I'm too sensitive or else I'm gettin' soft
Sundown, yellow moon, I replay the past
I know every scene by heart, they all went by so fast
If she’s passin’ back this way, I'm not that hard to find
Tell her she can look me up if she's got the time
It's if you're making love to her, not if you get close to her.
Yep. The comment is the Dylan version
yes an interesting alteration don't you think?
and he changes to written in the cards too... etc?!
Jeff Buckley … my love since for ever ✨ it’s been a long time since I don’t listen to his music, mayb i was trying to forget certain time in my life … but today you came into my playlist and I didn’t skip … my heart is raising and tears are coming down…
im not sure people realize how brilliant this is

What an amazing talent this guy was!!
CORRECTION, what a great talent he is/ hIS music will live forever.
Immaculately beautiful. I needed to listen to this again. Love Jeff and Dylan
Wow...
I'm just now discovering this artist TODAY!!!
I can't believe that this guy's music wasn't all over all of the radio stations.
This guy is far more talented than the majority of musicians that have played on the pop stations... and yet - I've NEVER HEARD OF HIM until TODAY!!!
+Cynthia Hamil Glad you discovered the shooting star that Jeff Buckley was.
+thewirah1 I'm just amazed that I have NEVER HEARD of HIM before NOW!!!
What????
This guy is so darn talented!
I can't believe that his music didn't make it more into the mainstream pop venues.
he's just the best.
he's just the best.
Welcome, Jeff's music just keeps on giving through the years. I listen to him almost every day, he's my Elvis.
Within your wings and voice, we find love and light 😭🥰😇❤️✊🏽✌🏾🙏🏾
good lord be quiet
This is one of the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard. Just makes me think of so many good memories when I listen to this. What a talent.
"We had a falling-out, like lovers often will
And to think of how she left that night, it still brings me a chill
And though our separation, it pierced me to the heart
She still lives inside of me, we've never been apart"
.

Such a lyrics...
TERESA CUESTA Es de Dylan.
"If you get close to her, kiss her once for me"
"She might think that I’ve forgotten her, don’t tell her it isn’t so"
"I always have respected her for busting out and gettin' free"
Y la hago mía.

Ese Dylan...siempre con el verso adecuado ...
TERESA CUESTA .
TERESA CUESTA Nada como jugar bien las cartas.
you can't go wrong with Bob, or Nina, or Leonard, or Van... thanks Jeff for an awesome nose for covers.
exactly
zaxapitsa His covers are crazy good and of course, when I was 15 he introduced me to that mysterious L. Cohen who wrote the cover on his debut album. 😉 That alone puts me in his debt for a lifetime.
What a beautiful guitar sound...
I'm lit AF and alone in my room..crying.
same.
me too
yup
Same
Jeff just has that impact on people. I'm a 6"2 rugby player and he still makes me cry
Always loved this cover. Jeff Buckley was composed of blues and soul molecules.
“ I hear her name here and there as I go from town to town, and I’ve never gotten used to it, just learned to turn it off “
Such a relevant song, some 30 odd years later.
I love you bob dylan 🥲🥲
aaaaah ... so clean, like an empty space in mind reminding inner freedom and the sense of life
So gratifying to hear a great artist doing these great songs. If my heart could sing it would sound like this. Thanks for sharing.
this and Kurt’s ‘and I love her’ cover might be the two best covers ever made
It's amazing, that dylan sorta wrote in the most amazing way regardless of what he is referring to in each song, and buckley is just freakin' amazing, well no words for his voice!! there is not a lot to say but listen..
But this is the version that brings me to tears, rest in power & grace JB🌹
Aditya 's story brought me here. The song is truly beautiful 💯👣
I find it amazing that, after like the first couple Songs ive heard of him, I already knew that hes going to be a classic to me. After all these years all his Songs are still really moving. Its just one of the most magic Albums EVER created!
Instant atmosphere, this song, it takes you far far away
I just found this song
God this is too good
+Blake Arashi I will thanks!
+Stephanie-maria oufan The live version from Sin-é is also amazing, possibly Jeff Buckley's best cover of a Dylan song (and that's saying a lot!)
+Smári Eggertsson I think "I shall be released" is better
+Stephanie-maria oufan Forget Her....not remember ♫ ♥
i love the way he says 'sensitive'
This man saved me! Thankyou for being the infinite love of my life SARANNE..
man I wanna thank Bob Dylan for writing this, because if not, this couldn't be my favorite song of all time. I.LOVE.THIS.
I discovered Jeff Buckley music couple of years ago, this guy was a genious indeed!
learn to spell man
I’ll always love you, we had a great run.
Edit: I see now, it says "Bearsville Studio." Cool.
not much of a jeff buckley fan....but this song brings me here almost every day...
I'm here again, listening this legend, thanks for everything Jeff...
"That was great." what an understatement.
Grew up with Bob. I'm sure he loves this. Beautiful version.
This is an amazing Bob Dylan cover
I have just discovered you Mr. Buckley. Your songs remind me of the feeling I experienced when I hear Bob Dylan for the first time. Good to know you are out there. Thank you.
God bless his soul! He's amazing!
...I sent my European friend Dylan's expanded bootleg series of "Blood" and she sent me this back. Jesus, why didn't I marry that woman?...
😂❤😢 u should’ve
This song makes me cry every time 😢
It gave all the confirmation I need. Great cover, great song.
This song reminds me of a few people. People I loved who I'll likely never see again.
I just want to say thank you so much for posting these rare and awesome recordings
& it made us absolute..
Absolutely f** speechless!...........
absolutely no one does bob dylan quite like jeff, he pours so much emotion into everything he sings, what an unbelievable talent. what a loss to the world, he died and took the most beautiful lyrics never written with him 🤍
If your not haunted by this version or Jeff’s voice, idk what to tell you. 🌹
Dylan´s gem cut by Jeff's voice
Ah...so well said. Just love this.
Can't get over this.
Love everyone man, every fucking one.
FANTASTIC..
I can hear so many amazing influences in his music, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Taj Mahal, BB King, John Lee Hooker... lot of sweet ass blues tunes and great musicians.
this guy its so special !!!!!!............
i love this song
A lot of artists have covered Dylan songs but they never did it for me...But Jeff’s Dylan covers are just amazing. It might just be because of his passion for music, and the way he puts it in all the songs he sings. I love Bob Dylan and hearing Jeff sing his songs is special.
I’m 14 by the way (not that it matters though)
You must be 16 now.
Keep up discovering, learning and teaching. And most of all growing.
Listen to Cat Power's cover of Paths of Victory : )
This is who we are. This is the purest thing which is just our and for us. We created it, we brought it to the light of the world. Art, poetry, music, and Jeff's voice. Everything else. Physics, math, universe, nature, this is not our and it was and always will be around us, to the end of the time. But music is just for us. Only for us. After we die, the art disappear forever. Music will never exist again.
I often come here.
Absolutely amazing, So simple but so expressive!
:( i just cry every time i hear JB.. even if he were all alive.. still cry ..
Reminds me of my dearest best friend who I loved dearly who decided to take herself to heaven on her own terms, beautiful song R.I.P Fiona P.W
This guy came straight from God.
We all come straight from God, though many deny this.
Note to self: Don't listen to Jeff Buckley when you're going thru a breakup. Got me crying a river of sorrow over here. :'(
Did you turn out alright
@@Schrodj1 Go away pervert
Boo fucking hoo.
shes ded
Wow...What a cover, what a Voice
this guy was amazing. Pure genius.......
Jeff really knows how to make me cry in the most beautiful way
