I think this is true. There is so much pressure to win and coaches have to continually recruit new players and current players and NIL dollars. But in the real world companies have to do do this to keep their good employees that other companies want.

It's difficult to build a "culture" in college. Michigan will be remembered as one of the last teams to win the natty as a real team. Even Michigan will need to step into the modern era moving forward: NFL-lite or bust.

The first team to cheat their way to a Natty...

@@someguy6212 Not on the field by rigging games. Most CFP "cheating" was off field recruiting violations for impermissible gifts or payments, but all that is legit now.

@@roris5882 All teams steal signs and scout in person, even in High School. It was a dumb NCAA rule that was impossible to enforce.

Chip Kelly refused to interact with fans and donors. He refused to recruit. He got rid of all the traditions that were important to fans. He wouldn't allow fans to attend any practice games. He stopped the Spring football game, He stopped the Bruin walk where the team would get off the bus and walk through the tailgate to get to the locker room. Fans and players loved this. Chip never did it even when asked to do so. He was rude. UCLA fans stopped attending games because they hated Chip Kelly and it had been that way for the last for 4 years. I tried to support him but in the end, HE had DESOTOYED the fan enjoyment of the team and game. Good riddance to him. Now he's someone else's problem. He totally mismanaged the QB situation at UCLA and was not a good HC. He did not care about UCLA.
