Your videos bring me so much joy! I have a Rough Collie names Arthur and I have been having so much trouble training him, mostly because I have been having trouble maintaining motivation and energy about it. But you make it look so effortless and it really shows me what a dog is capable of. He’s only just 9 months old and you and Urax are really motivating for me :) If I ever get Arthur a friend I think it would have to be a Swedish Vallhund. I found your videos through researching them and they’ve helped me so much, and I still think the breed is amazing 😊. Just like little collies with so much personality on those little legs!

Ah thanks, training urax is really fun and it's all about beeing consistent. If I'm not consistent it shows in training and everything is harder as he "forgets"😊 collies are beautiful dogs

@@sweetcountryhome Thank you! He’s a very handsome boy!
And yes, I definitely see the same thing in Arthur when I’m not consistent, so I am trying to do training sessions every day now after his morning walk. I’ve also started doing the seeking exercise in the grass! He loves it 😊

I wonder what a cross breed of a Vallhund and a Corgi would look like?

Great job both of you! Would you recommend Swedish Vallhund as a dog for first-time owners?

It’s hard to say because Urax is my first dog and my experience of other breeds are limited but but for me urax has been the perfect first dog. His size is perfect and it’s not hard for me to take the lead, a bigger dog would be harder for me to handle in every situation (dog meetings, walks, commands etc. And it’s just me because I have been working a lot on how to be a leader for him to follow….
He is a lovely family dog and is easy to train, so for me he has been a great first dog, but many hours goes into training😎
