Midnight, where we used to dance, Underneath the ugly halogen lamps... I'm in a room with all our stuff, When you come home I'll lift you up... Heartstopping. Counting the days x
I’m so glad I discovered this song and entire album almost by myself. The only song I heard was 1000 Times on 13 Reasons Why but other than that I found every other song just exploring their music. And two years later I still listen to the album on shuffle.
Just heard this for the first time while watching Lucifer and it immediately grabbed me. I had to know what it is, and who sings it. Great song and tune. A little surprised I'd not heard of it before.
UlrichUlrich totally agree with you.. but thank the advertising company that Apple used to finally give Hamilton the audience to showcase his talent after all these years.
What's so bad about it being in a commercial? (Unless you're a Marxist, in which case I totally get it) One of the ways the walkmen got big was through licensing their song "we've been had' to Volkswagen back in the day.
Right, although to be fair though HIMYM is the commercialization of the music but not actually a commercial. Provided that artists are the ones making the decisions themselves, who are we to do anything other than chill out and enjoy the great music they're making!
Tell me why i've composed a song just like this one on my own guitar. Except, my capo is on the 7th fret and i added more variations to it, but both songs sound so similar to me.
parallel thinking can exist, of course, but considering the commercial exposure this song had, it's also quite likely you heard it somewhere in the background, without noticing and were subsequently influenced. or, the third option, is that you are a far superior song writer but fate hates you.
i also played around with the song... its best with classical guitar. if you watch other video of this song when ham plays it with a hollowbody it doesnt sound the same

omg, are these assholes going around cherry-picking my favorite songs to put in their teenage suicide soap opera? Lord Huron and now they've found Ham, too.
@@NewGoldStandard i've been an obsessed fan with Lord Huron for about 4 years now and i actually think this show is awesome and also pretty good for Lord Huron to blow up internationally. A lot of people became fans bc of this show so don't put it in a bad light

@@elephant3109 STILL SUPRISED this song didnt go nuts. Every aspect of this song is so damn good. Lyrics, melody, vocals, vibes. The song got it all.
Its been 3 years...
This has been my favorite song for years. I never get sick of it. It's that good.
The delivery of "I'll rent a room with all our stuff" is my favorite music moment of 2016 so far. Just chilling.
Gabe Spece mine too!
There are a lot of great songs and lyrics on this album
you are correct.
Mine too.
it's peak Hamilton. his voice hasn't exactly held up since, no surprise.
The whole album seems like a heartbreak. This is the beauty in heartbreak. Never lose yourself.
man, when Ham hits that note on "room..."
still gives me chills.
yeah man chills
When that ANGELIC CHORUS kicks in, I soar heavenward!
This songs incredible , hopefully I can find all the bangers in the world
Rostam adds magic to whatever he touches. Loving his collaboration with Hamilton!

I love this song.
I'm suprised at how well Hamilton is playing guitar! Thought it was someone else on record.
he's gotten way better between now and the walkmen days
God i love this song. “Midnight where we used to dance. Underneath the ugly halogen lamps. Oh, it all went away so fast.” Such beautifully sad lyrics.
Just heard this for the first time while watching Lucifer and it immediately grabbed me. I had to know what it is, and who sings it. Great song and tune. A little surprised I'd not heard of it before.

Just bought the Record Store Day LP with this session on it. No regrets at all.
Perry Ryan isn't it an EP?
Seeing him perform this live makes me appreciate his voice so much more... I don't know why I assumed so much of it was artificial
Best song on the album, in spite of its use in a fucking commercial!

They do... Paul making music for tv and entertainment with one of the guys from fleet foxes now. He likes staying home now lol

anyone know what acoustic guitar that is?
